The Gej's 2015 Mistake, singular mistake or error of that era is Obasanjo. Nothing more or less to it . The strongest man out of executive power in Nigeria history at that era was Obj . Mr Gej could have used wisdom to bring the man in and closer to himself in pursuance of his 2015 ambition but what did he did? . He discarded Obj like a tissue paper, immediately that one assisted him with 2011 victory. Two things Gej did were: 1) Discredit obj role in his ascendancy to executive power by blocking his direct access to the presidency. 11) Surrounding himself with political featherweight, minions, praise singers and more importantly listening to social media by panning to their request that obj influence ( 3rd term Agenda man )must be discarded . Unknown to Gej, the political hawks were happy and eyeing his seat at the corner and when 2015 battle came, there was no strong battlefield General amongs His inner circle that can prosecute or procure a victory again . The president became an orphan for his reelection having discarded his godfather in politics. |

RolexOfGeneva:A fundamental mistake we make in Nigeria is to equate academic qualifications with intelligence. There are mechanics who are more intelligent than many PHD holders. You are not intelligent simply because you have a degree or a PhD. As PHD does not make you intelligent. It only means you have acquired the minimum knowledge to qualify for a degree in that particular area. You can get a bachelors degree getting D grades throughout university. The higher your degree ( bachelor, masters, PhD, the higher your depth of knowledge). Knowledge and intelligence are not the same thing. Let’s give an example. That you know that a seed becomes a plant is knowledge. Unintelligent people know that too. You go a step further and you learn that if you cross breed a hybrid of the plant is created. What you have done is deepened your knowledge. Your intelligence or lack of is still the same. Intelligence is the application of knowledge and the ability to think logically and critically. Being knowledgeable in specific subject is called being learned! An academic degree at best means you are a subject area specialist. An intelligent person can apply his intelligence to issues beyond his area or expertise. There are countless PhD holders who once they speak outside their subject area you wonder if they attended secondary school Secondly university of PH was a top university, rivers state university was second tier. Remmember even Wike said it on TV. Those who were around at the time know that you went to a state university only because you did not good enough grades to go to unilag , UI, Ife, ABU etc. and you were a permanent lecturer at these universities only because you didn’t make the grade for employment as a lecturer at the top universities. The top professors from the top universities taught part time as a means of making money. It was the leftovers that became permanent lecturers at state universities. |

casualobserver:Don't ever say such thing again. if you aren't intelligent, how will you graduate from the University without bribing your way out especially in highly mentally demanding STEM courses like Quantum mechanics, Programming, Engineering and Mathematics? |

RolexOfGeneva:Jesus wept! That you fail to understand what I just said just proves that not all graduates are intelligent. Learning a subject is not proof of intelligence. To get a degree you need to get 40%. 40% is below average 50% is average! 40% means you failed 3 out of 5 questions or think about it this way will you say a person who failed 60% of the questions is intelligent? You can get a pass degree in some countries with 36%. Ponder on that for a second. Someone wh0 failed in 64% of this questions has a degree. Similarly there are people whose phD dissertations are cited and game changing and there are those whose PHD work is never cited. There are lecturers who never become professors and there are lecturers who become professors in 5 years. They both have phDs Are they equal? Let is consider a graduate with a 2:2. It means he scored 50%. He passed only half the questions. Which means there is a 50% chance he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Or he remmembered the basics but couldn’t answer the questions that required application of the knowledge. Are you willing to put the structural design of your skyscraper in his hands in the belief that he is intelligent because he has a degree? You know the procedure for multiplication for example and practice it does not make you intelligent. Plus I did not say graduates are not intelligent, I said not all graduates or phD holders are intelligent. They are learned. They are not necessarily intelligent. In fact in western countries where this education and language we copy comes from, , they won’t call you intelligent because you have a degree, they would refer you you as learned or lettered. It is only in Nigeria that we automatically refer to someone with a degree or phd as intelligent As you can see below, intelligence is the application of knowledge. Knowledge does not make you intelligent. A degree just means you have knowledge. A degree is evidence of the acquisition of knowledge ina subject area but without intelligence requires the ability to apply that knowledge and to think abstractly, critically and logically. Nigeria has a lot of degree holders who can’t apply their knowledge. Intelligence is something you have whether you went to school or not. You don’t become intelligent because you went to school or got degrees. Finally there are different types of intelligence. Academic intelligence, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, cultural intelligence, political intelligence. Even if you have academic intelligence it does not mean you have the others. For examples nerds are usually very good programmers but may be social misfits because they lack social intelligence. In Nigeria in particular academics and technocrats no matter the intelligence they may have displayed in their areas of competence, often lack political intelligence. Because the intelligence required for Nigerian politics is at odds with the mindset of academia and professionalism of technocrats. It’s why I have always said Osinbajo for example would have been a disaster.

femi4:Exactly what i said, so he does not owe any loyalthy to GEJ in the first instance. So there is no where Betrayal comes into the picture with Tinubu and GEJ. |

femi4:I have gone back to your previous post and am sure i gave you the correct reply without calling Tinubu into it. My call for Tinubu was for the other guy I quoted. Now, back to my question to you, here is the answer. There was never a time he promised to do one term; you should not say something you have no proof of. Tell us when GEJ promised to do one term. |

femi4:Agin there is nothing in your previous post that answered my question. Again i will ask you tell me where GEJ ever agreed he was going to do one term. GEJ was a week president i agree but he never promised one term to anyone. He was obviously the best president to win the 2011 election after Yaradua death because he was the incumbent president and he sold the idea of his poor background to Nigerians, which was what earned him the seat, and again it was a mathematical calculation from OBJ that earned him both the VP seat and, in turn, the President seat. He betrayed his Godfather, OBJ, and those northern politicians were jealous that he was going to be the first ever president to rule Nigeria for 10 years, a feat they can never achieve. The coalition was formed against him, and even people like Tambuwal and other speakers of the House of Assembly and Senate were decamping; he should have played politics and declared their seats vacant; heaven will not fall if he had done that. It was clear evidence that JEGA, the INEC chairman, was going to betray him; he should have listened to his cabinet members and removed him, yet he still allowed him to conduct the election. He would have sent the EFCC after Tinubu, Tambuwal, Saraki, and others, even Jega should have been suspended before the election, but that guy was just too weak. The principals and all the staff of the Chibok school should have been locked up and interrogated seriously, but he did nothing; he should have suspended the licence of Channels TV through NBC. But he did nothing. GEJ should go and learn politics from BAT. Assuming he had people like WIKe in his inner cabinet at that time, GEJ would have done a second tenure effortlessly. Also he employed the most clueless media team in his cabinet, imagine it is now people like Reno Omokri has mouth to speak, he was not vocal while working for his principal then, look at what Tinubu is doing with his media team, i have said it that Nigerians do not deserve a good man as president, we deserve a man who can handle us with iron hands. |

casualobserver:Stop stressing yourself bro. Intelligence is defined as a state of having a high or quick cognitive ability. People assimilate cognitive units at different rates. Albert Einstein was described as being intelligent because he was able to assimilate and comprehend complex equations meant for University students at the age of ten. Did he acquire knowledge? Yes. Did he apply it at that point in time? No. So your hypothesis doesn't hold true bro
