I need help guys. For monthly expenses of 1st month: 105,055 naira 2nd month: 71,434 naira 3rd month: 129,820 naira 4th month: 94,255 naira Which should be used as how much one spend a month? From May to August, a bonus of 66,000 naira was paid for each month. A contract within these four months earned sums of 700k, 800k, 44,000 and 48,000 naira in separate months. In the section of Additional regular income for a year, what should I write? Should I consider contract work as part of additional regular income cos the pay is not static and varies? Or I should only use the bonus of 66k to get my yearly additional regular income? |

Thank you for your honest feedback; it's much appreciated. I do acknowledge my mistake of using a bank statement with a low opening balance. I initially assumed that my closing balance would be considered sufficient proof of funds for my 10-day trip to the UK, given my regular monthly salary payments over the last six months. Now I understand better. However, this was just my salary account statement provided, and not my business account. I am the ceo of the business, and I pay myself a salary from the business account. My salary was not always N5M+ from 2016 till now. It increased with time as the company grew. Last time I applied for the UK visa in 2022, my salary was just N1M+ I provided sufficient evidence of my business, including pictures of me with my staff and office, as well as pictures of my family, landed properties, and tenancy agreement to establish strong home and economic ties. I had no intention to overstay, I was going for a vacation and to visit my elder brother in the UK, who is a British citizen. I visited Dubai in 2021, Singapore in 2022, France in 2024, and Qatar this year, 2025. All the reasons for my previous UK refusals were due to mistakes in how I presented my account statement, which i have always tried to fix in the next application but still end up with another mistake. My question now is, how do I submit an official complaint on my visa application if submitting another application may likely not fly? Thanks for your time and feedback! giselle237: |

Thank you for your candid advice and honest feedback! I plan to submit another application with a well-written cover letter that addresses their concerns and provides additional proof. And, if that doesn't fly, I will consider filing an official complaint. Can you please provide a guide on how to file a complaint? Thank you! BruceXavier: |

Good morning house, please I want to ask a question for someone who is planning to travel to UK for Christmas holiday can I book hotel reservation this month September, and also who have the idea the cost of 10 days hotel accommodation. Can I also book hotel reservation without payment here in Nigeria first and pay on arrival or I should book a refundable hotel. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 12:03pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
abdultangz:Great news! For French Visa, they are more concerned about the hotel and flight booking plus the regular inflow and outflow in your account. Not so much about the actual balance. 10m is more than adequate. |

nairabase:I read your response to @giselle237 and it gives more context and further proves my point. Infact I now believe your application was not considered on it's merit, even though each refusal will state otherwise. I have seen visit visa applications sail through with bank statements that have low opening balance, I have also seen applications sail through with closing balances that are not up to twice the propsed amount for the trip. It's all circumstantial and I believe your previous refusals maybe impeding your chances of getting fair assessment. With the futher context you gave on your travels and previous refusals, I agree with @giselle237 not to reapply, follow the complaint route. I hope the refusal is still recent and not up to 3months. To file a complaint you can use these options; send a mail to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk and/or visit https://www.gov.uk/complain-uk-visas-immigration. There are fellow users on this platform that have gone through this route and got positive result. If you take your time to go through this thread all the way to previous parts, you will find their testimonials. Be sure to address the issues raised and present your case well with documents to back up any claims made. For Pre Action Protocol: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pre-action-protocol-for-judicial-review. There are also persons on this platform that followed this route with positive results. A careful research on this platform and you'll find their process and tesimonials as well. All best in whichever route you opt for |

Good morning, great people, I had my TB test in February to expire August 27th in preparation of traveling to the UK last May but the admission was differed to September. For my Visa processing on August 11th, I uploaded the same TB test cert as it was still valid then and thank God my VISA was approved. My question is, is it safe to travel with this expired TB test because I learnt immigration do ask for some of this thing? Will it still be tenable or I should do another test before I travel? Thank you. |

Anticipated travel cost is 1,800 pounds. Sponsor has sent up to 5 Million naira in installments to the applicants bank account. So what should be written in. How much you are you personally going to spend? How much will the sponsor pay towards the trip? |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:21am On Sep 07, 2025 |
mostical:You don’t need another TB test. The result is for your visa application. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:23am On Sep 07, 2025 |
typingmaster:Why the multiple payments? Any reason why sponsor’s account could not be provided? Personally will still be £1 How much will be provided £1799 In the additional information section of the form and the cover letter- expantiate on what you have done to give the ECO clarity. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by typingmaster: 7:26am On Sep 07, 2025 |
