Honestly unless we gain a penalty I don’t know how Nigeria will win this game. Team is disjointed and playing selfishly. You can tell they don’t respect the coach from their attitude. May Nigeria win even by any means. 1-0 is enough

This is a tactical disaster from Eric Chelle.

So many loopholes in this setup

If this is the best we can offer, we do not deserve to play at the world cup.
Rightly so.

Wave goodbye to the FIFA World Cup and say hello to the AFCON in December. grin

Like someone earlier said, let's use this set of games as AFCON preparation friendlies. It's a tall order to think these bunch of jokers will go to the USA/Canada next year.

Disappointing.

Nwabali has started the same rubbish he did with Adingra. Picking unnecessary fight in order to lose focus.

Nwabali just wants to be sent off in this match. What is wrong with him? All eyes should be on him
He should be warned seriously

The Rwandan game plan to frustrate the super eagles is working beautifully..
They have totally nullified any threats
They were even congratulating themselves for getting Osimhen out of the game

What's this propaganda. They were playing same with him on the pitch.
Check the team after his sub. This team looks suddenly disjointed compare to the urgency we have in first 10mins of the match..like I said the team was build around him esp for the match

Chukweze should come in for Simon. Tolu can come in as a second striker to pair Dessers if Chukweze is not in form. Onyideka should come in for Onyeka.

Second half, second chance!!!
Baba, even if we score five scores in the second half, these players do not deserve the qualification. Such display of football is a disgrace to this country. angry

so far , the team lack the bite , Rwanda has been ultra defensive , the team need Chukwueze or Aina style of play to break the nonsense defence . its way too funny how the eagles play .so pathetic!

this team need to catch some hunger to win from VO

It appears the coach is confused on what to do . With Osihmen out and the team disjointed I wonder how the goals will come 🫴. Once the game ends like this bye 😭 to world cup
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:58pm On Sep 06, 2025
I wanted to say this. we are predictably launching our attack from the left wing. Bruno no adding any dimension to the game. the right wing is not utilized. Onyeka to me na just runs and gra gra. Ndidi has been impressive to me.

Well, make we dey watch. Super Eagles has always been a "second half" team, at least from majority of the matches I've seen in my lifetime. If we win this game, it will be 1-0. And probably a late goal. The Rwandan defense is solid.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by DrYa: 6:00pm On Sep 06, 2025
This is very sad.
Hopefully Osihmen's injury is not threatening, at least he needs to be fit for club if country is not ready to go to world cup.

BankyGee:
You see wetin we dey talk about Lookman bah?

Just pass the ball bro.

No better cross from Onyemaechi since, just too much high balls.
Onyemaechi has never been intelligent with his crosses, if he can't cross well he should be passing them instead.

We still need a left back, Onyemachi can't help us against top teams.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron: 6:00pm On Sep 06, 2025
Lookman to be substituted for Chukwueze
Iwobi for Dele Bashiru

Rwanda will bus till 90mins and will need to break that defense.
