Please good people I need help with my Toyota Camry 2004 edition (Big for nothing). The car is acting funny. It started after I did some maintenance work on it. I changed the engine seating, the Cold start sensor and the fuel pump. Now the car/engine just revs up (goes high) on it own while driving. My mechanic has changed and calibrated the gas pedal sensor yet the problem has persisted. Please anyone that has an experience with this should share with me.

Seems they've figured out where the oil is leaking from... they said they'll have to remove the bottom oil part

Hello. Thank you for your fantastic work here.

I own a Honda EOD and changed its gearbox some time in February. Some time in May, I made the mistake of trying to travel with it without checking its gear oil level. The car gave me issues during the trip, but after I added about 2 liters of transmission oil, it started working properly I had to turn back to Lagos that night due to traffic though. When I returned to Lagos I went to service the car and used Holts Transmission oil to replace the old one (which had developed a smell during that failed trip).

Now recently I have noticed that the gear doesn't always click into reverse on my first try. Some times it clicks in one try but a lot of times I'll have to take it to another gear and bring it back to R before it clicks. What's the problem? Is it a gear switch somewhere or something else?

Thank you for all the work done here sir. I own a 2006 RAV4 and my brake goes soft n spongy when I’m on the road . I have bled the brake twice and it still does it. And this happens after driving for a while . Also it makes a grinding noise when I’m reversing and won’t move fast as if something is holding it down . I’m thinking it’s brake hose or master brake. Kindly advise

Thanks for your response . I got another mechanic to check it n he said I needed to change the calipers . He took out the old one n fixed a new one n it seems to be working fine now. Someone said calipers cant only be repaired . Is this true ?cos he collected money for a new one which is quite expensive

Goodevening Everyone, my Mercedes Benz glk350 2009 model suddenly developed an issue which resulted into multiple issues. I was driving and suddenly I heard some notice below the car and next thing it showed abs and esp not available. Consult car manual. If I drive it a little distance, it will make same noise if I try to move at a higher speed and the warning sign will start blinking. I scanned it and it showed this codes 5543c(there is an internal fault in component ‘A7/3(Traction system)’ and U140B (implausible left Rear Wheel speed signal received).

The next day while taking it to a technician, the car started jerking seriously and I scanned it again and it showed (misfire in cylinder 1, 2, and 3 and also The charge movement flap in cylinder bank 1 has a malfunction) I have changed coils, changed nozzle, bought a new intake manifold yet the car is still misfiring and still showing the same codes even after clearing and resetting. When I clear and reset, it stops but when I drive for 5 minutes on the road, the codes come back and serious misfire happens. For the wheel sensor , I bought another wheeel sensor and it has stopped the code and ABs has stopped showing but the same traction problem persists. Now it’s showing on my dashboard, check brake wear. I’m confused and I don’t know what to do. This car for 3 days has really been a torn on my flesh. A lot of money spent and yet it’s getting worse.

I am based in Owerri.

Your Mercedes-Benz GLK350 2009 model is experiencing multiple issues, including ABS and ESP warnings, traction system faults, and engine misfires. Let's break down the potential causes and solutions:

*ABS and ESP Issues:*

- The U140B code indicates an implausible left rear wheel speed signal received. Replacing the wheel sensor seems to have resolved the ABS issue, but the traction problem persists.
- The traction system fault code 5543c could be related to the ABS system or other components like the traction control module.

*Engine Misfires:*

- The misfire codes and charge movement flap malfunction could be caused by various factors, including:
- *Faulty Spark Plugs*: Worn out or fouled spark plugs can cause misfires.
- *Fuel System Issues*: Problems with fuel injectors, fuel pumps, or fuel filters might lead to misfires.
- *Ignition Coil Problems*: Although you've replaced the coils, it's possible that the new ones are faulty or not compatible.
- *Intake Manifold Issues*: While you've replaced the intake manifold, ensure it's properly installed and not leaking.

*Other Potential Causes:*

- *Low Fuel Pressure*: Fuel pressure issues can cause misfires.
- *Faulty Oxygen Sensor*: A malfunctioning oxygen sensor can disrupt the air-fuel mixture.
- *Vacuum Leaks*: Leaks in the intake system can cause misfires.

*Recommended Steps:*

1. *Scan for Additional Codes*: Use a Mercedes-Benz-specific scanner to check for any other codes that might provide more insight into the issue.
2. *Check Spark Plugs*: Inspect the spark plugs for wear or fouling.
3. *Fuel System Check*: Have a mechanic inspect the fuel system, including fuel injectors, pumps, and filters.
4. *Intake System Check*: Verify that the intake manifold is properly installed and not leaking.
5. *Traction System Diagnosis*: Have a mechanic diagnose the traction system fault code 5543c to determine the root cause.
6. *Brake Wear Warning*: Investigate the brake wear warning to ensure the brakes are functioning properly.

*Considerations:*

- Given the age of your vehicle (2009 model), it's possible that multiple components are failing due to wear and tear.
- The 2009 Mercedes GLK is known to have issues with transmission failures, electrical malfunctions, and engine problems, so it's essential to have a thorough inspection done.

I would advice you, to get it down to a proffessional auto technician, because it’s not a thing you can handle yourself, so he could help you run a full computerized scanning and Complete diagnostics and troubleshooting on the vehicle, primarily from the suspension system or anything connected too the suspension system, which bring out the problem at first, then after fixing those sensors did you ask the technician too use is scan tool, too check on live data and see which sensors and part that are responding, before you even go ahead, to start changing the injections system part and spark plug, they are things, the technician should, have done before going further, too guess and start touching some other, things fr. The major problem start from,
The wheel sensors getting damaged, which there is 100% possibilities misfires code could come up, which a technician, that has been on the feed. Should know and apply a little bit of common sense sir.

Thank you.

Good evening boss.

I noticed that two small circular plastic components each with a magnet inside fell off from my car’s steering. Immediately after that, the steering shifted downward, almost touching the floor of the car.

Please I would like to ask what the name of this small circular plastic part with a magnet is. They are two in number.

The technician I called to fix it said that a pair of these circular plastic parts with magnets costs 45k. My car is a 2012 Toyota Camry.

Please, I need your insight regarding the exact name of the part and its accurate price. Thank you very much.
