Just watch for tomorrow's news Mr. Speaker would either claim he was quoted out of context or deny saying that. Then, you will know that the government Institutions may have warned him behind the scene. Nigeria we hail thee. SmartPolician: |

Honourable Abbas should leave that talk. Apc have not started. When Tinubu said it was his turn, what were you thinking? EMILOKAN simply mean it's my turn to empty the Nigeria treasury. There is nothing you can do about it. By the time Tinubu is through with his renew hope agenda, Nigeria debt profile will be hitting 500billion$. We told you people, instead una pour spits into our faces. Had i know is the last comment of a fool. The journey is still at infant stage. It shall favour me and my family crew suddenly went extinct. Good or bad, we all are feeling the heat. |

![]() All foreign loans should stop. It appears as if there are a few people in the federal government, and the lending institutions who get commissions from these loans. When the federal government takes external loans, they indirectly take money from the general Nigerian population through naira devaluation, multiple/increased taxation, and excessive inflation. |

Are they not the same people who have been approving this senseless and reckless borrowing? Piling debt for unborn Nigerians, who will grow up and see the leaders of their time, using money that would have been channelled into their education to service debts they had no hand in By then Tinubu and his accomplices must have been a history. |

SmartPolician:Part of the reason why we have high debts is because of that same subsidy being kept by buhari, and by those that came before him. Infact the cost of maintaing subsidy was debt servicing eating 97% of revenue by August 2022. Note the date. I am not defending tinubu. I have supported subsidy removal since 2012. I was not a GEJ supporter too, but there are times when you have to put aside politics and try to understand why government is taking certain decisions The problem with subsidy is you take increasing amounts from the budget to cover for it, as costs of production rises, and naira falls, in part because forex that could have buffered it is being spent on subsidy,..and the money has to be replaced...result, debt. If you want to return to the point where almost all our revenue is being spent on subsidy for fuel, where we were having problems remitting dollars out for companies, and where debt increases even further...you are free to write your senator and house of reps member to agitate for subsidy. Or you can sit down and try to understand why government has been calling for subsidy removal since 1987. Back then we called them names. Even as late as 2005, when they called for it, we abused them well well. Now we know better. Government of goodies is why we are here. |
