Keep lying to yourself, can you live without brown roof with tiny windows 😁🤣

I’m also glad you found out Tinubu was into criminality before he came back to Nigeria to capture Lagos until today, anyway he’s always a failure and bad luck grin

I don't think it has to do with hate for Peter Obi or his tribe. Some opinions are formed from interactions and perspectives.

I don't know who deji supported in 2023 but deji was right about divided opposition votes may have helped tinubu manipulate the electoral process and system.

We cannot assume every opposing position is about tribe only unless there is a suggestion of such.

I myself was rooting for Osibanjo based on experience then switched to Peter Obi after verifying some facts about him.
He clearly hates Peter Obi, this is not about divided votes here, that's why he didn't talk about any other option other than Peter Obi and Tinubu...

Deji has spoken against both tinubu and atiku so I don't think this is just about Peter Obi or igbos or a tribal issue.

There is nothing wrong in that.

That is exactly why you Igbos voted a senseless Azikwe instead of Awolowo.

It is the same reason you Igbo gave more vote to an unknown Tofa ahead of MKO Abiola a reknowned philanthropist.

So weep more child exposing your bigotry. You do not own monopoly to vote your choice no matter the senseless excuse you have to justify it. All Nigerians far n wide have right to their choices even if it will cause you endemic tears till Jesus returns.
If speaking the truth means all these things you wrote to you, that's your problem not mine

I believe his recent comments are to lash back at Obidents coming g for him cos of past comments. it's a reaction to Obidents than a statement on Peter Obi person.

I think deji would personally prefer sowore who has no current affiliation to past political criminals abd equally passionate about a new Nigeria.

Ibiobios have never ruled Nigeria, yet they didn’t say other tribes hate them
Tivs, Junkuns, Igalas, Ikwerres, e.t.c. have never ruled Nigeria, yet they have not said other tribes hate them

WHY ALWAYS AND ONLY YOU?
Because of some of you Yorubas and some part of the north who have sworn to hate on Igbos because of envy...

But the guy did not mention tribe or hate for Peter Obi. He said Obidients provoked him to attack Peter Obi. I think people should discuss the root cause of the problem instead of trying to blackmail him.
Ask yourself why it is only Obi that people attack because of what his followers did or did not do?

Have you ever sat down to think about it?

Even Buhari that his supporters killed people because he lost election was not castigated or held accountable for the actions of his supporters.

Ask yourself is something not wrong somewhere?

When we weigh the historical evidence (oral tradition + documented history + linguistics), the Benin/Edo origin of “Eko” as a “war camp” is considered stronger than the Awori/Yoruba “camp/settlement” version.

Here’s why:

---

1. Early Control of Lagos (15th–16th century)

Historical records show that the Benin Kingdom expanded westward during the reign of Oba Orhogbua (mid-1500s).

Benin warriors established a military outpost on Lagos Island to control trade routes and collect tribute.

The Oba of Benin appointed a military administrator (called an “Eletu Odibo”) to govern the area.

This aligns with the interpretation of Eko as a “war camp” in Edo.

---

2. Oral History & Naming

Lagos oral tradition (especially from Benin sources) consistently states that the Oba of Benin named the settlement Eko when it became a military camp.

The Yoruba Awori were already living there, but the name “Eko” was imposed through conquest and administration, making it a political name, not just a descriptive one.

---

3. Linguistic Strength

In Edo (Bini), Eko indeed directly translates to “camp” or “encampment,” often military in sense.

In Yoruba, ẹ̀kọ́ has meanings like to gather, to learn, or to be trained (also the word for pap/fermented maize meal). But the usage of Eko to mean “settlement” is less direct and less common.

This makes the Edo origin linguistically tighter.

---

4. European Accounts

Early Portuguese records from the 15th–16th centuries confirm that the Benin Kingdom was administering Lagos (Eko) before colonial Lagos emerged.

They describe Lagos Island as a tributary state of Benin, not Awori, in terms of political control.

---

Conclusion

✅ The Benin (Edo) origin of Eko as “war camp” is better supported by historical, political, and linguistic evidence.
⚖️ The Awori/Yoruba origin reflects the fact that they were the indigenous settlers, but their explanation of Eko as “settlement” is more cultural than historical.

So, historically: “Eko” = war camp (Benin Edo origin).
Culturally: Yoruba still claim it as “our settlement.”.
Rubbish copy and paste from the chihuahua of the Yoruba Oba Ile Ibinu.
