Covid dealth seriously with them for China ... they were burning bodies in hundreds of thousands on daily basis even till last year ... but its all hidden from mainstream ... Do u remember their child birth policies?? That have come to bite them in the yansh ... now they are allowing their people to give birth to as much as they want .... So, population decline is already happening ... even Japan has same issue ElevationD: |

ElevationD:Yes, it's called population projection and it's basically an estimate of what a country’s population will be in the future, based on current demographic data and assumptions using key components of population change like: population at time t, births, deaths, immigration and emigration |

Provided third world war and maybe fourth world war didn't occur. If it did, there would be a plummet in the world population. And those that would be highly affected are those big players... So, the prediction is not predicting |

ElevationD:Two reasons for this. Aging population and their girls are doing shakara they don't want to have children except men can carry the pregnancy. Why should guys be running around watching football why ladies goes through hell carrying pregnancy? That's their thinking especially in the West. The feminist thing will such have a huge effect on the future of China, Japan, Korea and the west. I think Nigerian women doesn't subscribe much to that ideology except the woke ladies copying the west. Nigerian ladies love sex more than any other women on earth despite their pretence. Imagine giving birth to more than 230m Children in the next 74 years alone and they are pretending they hate sex. |

ElevationD:That's because a great deal of the Chinese population is made of old people between 65 and above which is expected to die before 2100. Birth rate won't grow exponentially since the modern Chinese family is not known to be large. |

lexy2014:In 75yrs time do you know million of people wey go don die? If they only give birth to a child I believe that figure is realistic. Death rate will b higher than birth rate. All he people above 20yrs will be lucky to be alive y that time. |

The figures for both the US and Nigeria are incorrect As per population, US is more than Nigeria. |

| Re: World's Most Populated Countries By 2100 by Ashirioluwa: 12:42pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
lexy2014:When China found out that its population was approaching 1 billion, the country adopted its one-child policy in 1979 to control rapid population growth. The one-child policy ended in 2015. A two-child policy was introduced in 2016 and then a three-child policy in 2021. Per China population records, their population stood at 1.408 billion in 2024. |

Considering the demographics, economy, and politics of today. I don't know if number 4 will still be existing as a nation It would have definitely fragmented to new countries just like Soviet Union or Yugoslavia. |

Kajaard:They didn't enforce one child rule. The rule is that you can only get benefits for one child. You take care of the rest yourself. |

DeOTR:Oga are you talking about Nigeria or America? I am not sure you know what you are talking about. You really believe that the Nigerian government spoonfeeds her people or are you joking? This is a country where government does nothing but steal. Nigerians don't depend on government for anything not even security. |
| Re: World's Most Populated Countries By 2100 by Emmah123: 1:01pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
lexy2014:1. 1979 2. Decline was not expected. It is the rate of growth that was expected to slow down which it surely did. China's population by 2015 when the policy was modified was less than the expected if the policy wasn't in place. The demography however titled towards more of older people due to their high life expectancy. 3. Due to the previous birthrate controls, many young people opting for single life (this will impact more on birth than one child policy) and their huge old age population, a steep population decline is projected within the next 75 years. BTW, 100 million couples giving birth to one child would add 100million to the population. 200milliom women and men who decided not to give birth would remove 200million from the population in 75 years. |

Kajaard:In as much as you have a point as regarding taming population. There is a positive side to it, the one I can quickly tell you straight is that if not for naija population, the unfriendly neighbours would have swallowed the country up since. Naija population may appear as clog in growth and development, but it actually has an advantage. Let's just try get our elections right. |

Ashirioluwa:I did not ask you about 2 or 3 child policy. I believe that my questions are very clear. 1. when did china adopt the one child policy? 2. how much decline of their population has been recorded since then? 3. where will the more than 600m people go to in the next 75years? |
| Re: World's Most Populated Countries By 2100 by lexy2014: 1:41pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
Emmah123:1. if no decline in population was expected, what then was the purpose of adopting the one child policy? 2. how much decline of their population did china witness in its population since the adoption of the one child policy? 3. where will the more than 600m people go to in the next 75years? 4. since you say chinas ageing population is huge, what is the exact figure or percentage of that population compared to the entire chinese population? |
