1) NFF - left appointment of coach late.
2) Finidi and Peseiro
3) the mathematician
4) 94 set
5) fans except some of us here
6 journalist

These are the people responsible for no world cup for us, arranged in order of culpability.

You guys keep talking about midfield as if you didn't have over 6 years to invest in your league and develop your football.

You have been playing Ndidi and Iwobi forever with nothing to show for it.
That is what I’m saying. We have not done enough scouting in that department to find the proper players that can control the ball.

Ndidi is a destroyer and very limited in other phases of MF play. I’d like to see some new blood in there, at least for this AFCON and the next AFCONQ

Tactically Chelle is not sure of himself. He's just winging it.
It seems as though there're a list of players given to Nigerian coaches that must play...I don't understand how every coach in recent years keep coming up with same thing that doesn't work

How did Simon Moses stayed on the pitch for 77mins. We didn’t see him at all in the second half. Minus one player

Exactly I enjoyed the games... They keep their heads up and fought with their lungs. Unfortunately all odds are against us let us use the remaining two matches for afcon prep. Eric should start preparing for afcon

The players tried but this is all on Chelle. When I pointed that the first half formation was wrong, some people here said he's the coach and we don't know what we are saying. Although he corrected all his mistakes in the second half,if he had started the right way, then he would instead have used the substitutions to change the game instead of using it to correct his mistakes. I hope going forward he starts thinking properly and stop over complicating things and putting players in wrong positions. That own goal is on him,Moses and lookman should never play at the same time bassey is a Cb not a lb,iwobi isn't a cm.

Eguavon is responsible for this failure. The appointment of Peisero and Finidi were poorly made

Very disgraceful performance

Iwobi since his debut in 2015 he hasn't improve a bit he's still the same we're just using Fulham to think he's playing well for Nigeria

Bassey is defending balls without direction
The midfield is a disgrace
Make we no even talk about moses Simon

Nwabali ego too much if he gets a little of enyeama achievement na worship players go dey worship am for field
Lookman was very rusty he hasn't played any competitive match this season straight to two 90mins In a crucial game

The only positive is Frederick nothing more
Only Frederick and Ossai played well the remaining players na jagons

No be say we no love Nigeria but Nigeria is very terrible playing football with the hype around their players

South Africa played like the team having foreign players this is a disgrace Abeg

Chelle has done well with the hand he was given. I think we should focus on improving our MF before AFCON. Two more WCQ matches to use as preparation.

AFCON 25, 27, 29 WC 30.

The ambitious goal should be to win at least 1 of those AFCONs if not two. Ensure we qualify for the next WC with games to spare.

Chelle got 8pts in 4 games and it should have been at least 10pts if not for Ekong’s late mistake against Zim. Imagine if we had Chelle from the start of qualifiers.

The road to WC 2030 starts now. Once this AFCON is over, we need to start phasing out some players.

Ndidi, Ekong, KC etc.

Start bringing in new, hungry players.

The one benefit about Naija is we have a large pool of players to pull from

Considering the point he is joining the fray? He survived.

It is from AFCON we'd judge him by his own campaign.
I'm just looking at his decision making. Why play Ekong against a speedy South Africa? Why play Aina on the left against Zimbabwe? Why play Dessers in the first half given his no show performance against Rwanda.

So which coach Una wan find now
I disagree
Chelle handled this game well
SA players were ready to die today
They obviously wanted it more
But Chelle did well
Do you realize apart from the own goal, SA didn't have any clear cut chance?

I also didn't understand why he started fisayo
But that decision was justified..

If Chelle has started our world Cup qualifiers, I'm 100% sure we would have topped out group

I have to say I agree. I was skeptical when I saw the starting line-up too and my intuition wasn't wrong.

That being said, Chelle stays. He has the right ideas. His problem so far is timing, but with enough time and familiarity, I'm confident he'll get things right.

Use your head. Our creativity in the attack is dead rubber. Or are you blind?
Na hand I use before? Chelle has no blame in this. This qualifier was lost after 4 games. He only came on remedial mission and didn't do badly.

I don't single out players for blame but our previous saviour: Ekong failed us.
Today's game: Remove 2 points from RSA and add 2 to Nigeria's own.
Against Zimbabwe: add 2 points to ours again and see where we would have been.
This is how the table would have looked like without those errors:
RSA 16pts
Nig 15pts

but i will say i like this team .... the depth is good . ... we may not qualify but the team is getting robust with some interesting players , we are unlucky not to have Osimhen on the pitch , he would have charged them up the way Bassey dd . so far Bassey is the man of the match

I made this comment about 4 hours before kick-off and that's exactly what happened during the last 20 minutes of the game. Good build up, atrocious finishing.
We don’t have a leader whether in the attack or midfield someone who can take the game by the neck. Our players need to be more responsible
