Be like na curse. That's how Yobo scored an own goal in 2014 WC match against France
Very painful
That South African player square that ball wickedly
No time for Ekong to sort out his feet
I don't blame him much sha
I don't blame Chelle either
I know Chelle put him in because he scored against SA last time out..

But this version of SA were not just technical, they were super physical too
Omo!!
We were not ready for their physical side

Abeg the coach try joor, the previous coaches have already spoil the qualifies, what do you expecting him to do.
Anyone still blaming the coach is not fair!

It's Eric Chelle realizing his mistake for starting Ekong and carelessly removing him for me.

For the record, allowing Eric Chelle to continue means you might not see some old players again. Bold coach.D
That's a Coach humble enough to realize his mistakes and correct them

nobody should blame Chelsea. We couldn’t qualify because of the previous coaches. They made it hard for us to qualify.

Is it impossiblehuh? Nigeria is on 11 points
Calculator time:

Before 10pm Benin will be on 14pts. We need to win our last 2 games to finish second.

If the format suggested here is approved and the above happens, our 17pts then will become 15pts (ie minus 2 against Zimbabwe)

As for the physical side the SA players were just giving all for their nation. That’s what I expect from our players too sadly just few of our players are like that

Honestly focus on the next World Cup. All these permutations and gambling will not help anybody. Awaiting Afcon in December

working with the last placed points removal theory? Probably. We are on track to 17 points. 15 after removal.

Now all you disturbing us over Dessers can rest. The guy no be am and that's why he isn't rated anywhere. Despite his goals, Rangers still no rate him.

Bassey and Fredrick 💯
You see the bolded?
I have said it before..
The guy is not aggressive at all
Very languid and laid back
I no blame am sha, be like he grew up as a rich kid
He too should be phased out along with Ekong and Simon
He is not cut out for African football

so you can't figure out that putting a right footed slow Cb on the left side of the defence carries the risk that he can do an own goal when dealing with low crosses coming in from the left?. It's basic principle. If bassey was in Ekong position,he would have cleared it with his left leg rather than Ekong having to awkwardly position his body to clear with his right leg leading to the own goal
3 man backline doesn't understand this agenda

bros I have to watch Akinsamiro in serie A before concluding if he should be invited or not

I haven’t had the opportunity to watch him and pisa so far this season
Oga Charles something is always missing in our midfield and time to solve it... Frederick made his debut playing for Brentford B team and see what the boy is doing....I think we just need to throw some boys in irrespective of their performance in their club side....Iwobi came in from academy straight to eagles...

6 points will take us to 17 points, seven of the second placed team is already on 15, it's over bro
If the format suggested is used.

Those on 15 would get extra 6 making it 21. If they won their lowest placed team home and away, that's minus 6. Taking them back to 15 points.

Ours will be 17pts. If you remove 2. We get to 15pts too because we drew Zimbabwe home and away.

In such a scenario, you never can tell if the ranking won't favour you.

If benjamin Francis can play like this he just newly started playing in Belgium, he has been in Brentford b team.
So there's a possibility thier are some Nigeria players in Team B in different clubs around, that can even do well when give the opportunity to play for the National team.
Francis is not a big defender I was afraid the South Africans will bullied him in today's game.
Football is not how big or strong you are , is just a gift.

Chelle messed up starting Ekong but rectified it by subbing him out.

I think Chelle wanted experience for this match but Ekong is past it.

Chelle should stay on and learn from these mistakes.

You can only have one winner in an AFCON. So it's excusable. But we can't boast of being in the top 10 to qualify for World Cup is not excusable especially when it's back to back. We need an overhaul of the NFF. IF ONLY NIGERIANS WILL SHOUT THEM TO RESIGN.
Dem no dey reading for shouting in Africa. Save your energy

I no blame South Africa honestly am good with the result of today cos like I said earlier it’s more difficult to win away in Africa as all manner of antics will be used against you, it’s that Zimbabwe match I can never forgive these players. The result today is ok by all standards.

Sir,Ekong had 3 to 4 own goals in eagles,so forget SA player squared the ball wickedly. He has everything to put the ball into corner...This is not the first time so he should be blamed

Fredrick was a youth player at Brentford when he was invited to play in the Unity cup. If the coach had not giving him the chance, we wouldn't have seen how good he is. It is time to ease out underperforming players in the team and give fresh legs a chance.
