Residents of Iba, Lagos State, woke up to a shocking discovery on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, as the bodies of two young men were found along the LASU-Igando Road, near First Gate. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to eyewitnesses, the victims were discovered face down beside a canal. Both were shirtless, with their hands and legs tightly bound behind them. Disturbingly, their heads were covered with blue nylon bags tied firmly around their necks.

Residents in the area said markings on the victims’ bodies indicated that they had been severely beaten before allegedly being suffocated with the bags.

It is believed the killings occurred overnight on Monday, September 8, as the corpses were found early Tuesday morning.

As of the evening of September 9, the bodies were still at the scene. Authorities are yet to make an official statement on the incident.
