After the Afcon in December a lot of this current players need to be honorable and retire from the team. Ekong. Chukwueze. Iwobi. Ndidi, Moses Simon and a host of others. Ademola lookman too selfish at the detriment of the team |

Goke7:people are just sad super eagles didn’t deliver, but you see this particular reason SA playing 7games on home soil….omo it highly unfair meehnnn.. Like mad mad home advantage…even Zim playing Benin in SA is hugely unfair, the fans can choose to help zimbabwe bully Benin, or Rwanda playing Lesotho in SA….haaaa common very very disadvantageous to Nigeria and other teams, especially its like they have every games under their watch and control Just like morocco back to back hosting 3 wafcon and Afcon still hosting the next 3 u17 wafcon….and you say home advantage wont make them reach almost all the finals. omo forget Motsepe is really rewriting so many things🤣🤣…Just imagine zoning of Age grade qualifiers….though it started from the former CAF president Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar(still a cosafa nation) |

QueenJazz: ![]() Didn't we come over there to defeat you in Uyo? . And as I said earlier...Nigeria still has better and more experienced players than SA overall and therfore still holds a record over SA....but that's the current status.... Before ....we used to not stand a chance against your team but today ....we have your whole nation on edge when we are about to play you ...and that'd progress and you're feeling it . Your team used to trash us...now they can barely keep a draw . One is progressing and one is disgressing and failing to maintain ![]() If I wanted a successful pig processing plant, I'd study the local laws first, build the pig pen and processing house , buy the necessary machineries and equipment...find the market and partners for my products ...bring in well experienced personnel to manage the business and then bring in the pigs and make profit after .......unlike you who can produce plenty of pigs with no structure ,no feed ,no ready market ,just selling to any willing buyer ....some get stolen because you have no way of feeding and caring for them so they roam the streets . In no time I'll be richer than you who had plenty of pigs but couldn't take care of them ( nature their talents in this case) . So in SA we started with infrastructure and everything else before focusing on the actual players .... now we are putting in money to academies and rural development to produce quality players for the market. And we are in no rush....we are builders not parasites. And I know it's going to be tears all over Lagos when we arrive in that USA ![]() Well, you collected your own participation awards without even using them to bolster your own leagu ....let us collect ours while we take in every lesson to use it to build better 😉 |

9JAMac10:They should retire before the AFCON, we are not winning anything with those players at the AFCON anyway so we might as well clean house now and use 80% of new younger players led by Osimhen as captain and then Bassey and Benjamin Frederick as the defensive core. |

QueenJazz:they only potentially denied us from qualifying to thw world cup, but man to man, player for players, SA is no where near us,you see that our CHAN team that lost 4-0 to sudan, this bafana bafana cannot beat them…they will still draw us…history has it that Bafana Full senior team lost to super eagles chan team 3-1 in 2014 chan..i just bame our boys for starting poorly….we played them like mad yesterday, our coach was not sensitive early enough to start fresh blood….walai if players like -Tolu -Chukwueze -Felix Agu -Benjamin -Uche had started that game, omo the energy for mad….SA wont smell our defense not to talk of scoring own goal |

minfelix:It’s because we assume being a big soccer nation these things don’t matter but we have been made scapegoat of a big continental conspiracy and we have been caught napping cos of our naivety. Even in the last Afcon final CAF watched how our fans and supporters despite having match tickets were locked out of the stadium while the match went on, lots of Nigerians had to disguise as Ivorians to get entry into the stadium. The ref watched as our players were kicked here and there helplessly which made our coach go mad and got booked in a final game that was supposed to be fair in the highest standard. Even in the Libyan issue if not for Ekong voicing out to the entire world that caught FIFA attention that match would have been awarded to Libya as their players were already in the stadium to walk over us. We never see anything make we continue to assume we go win Afcon or qualify again for World Cup without ensuring there is fairness and level playing ground for all! |

minfelix:LMAO. With all of that and the whataboutism....we drew and you still have 11 points and we are at 17 .History doesn't remember who came in second but who came in first . If you don't know how to use your own advantages ,you'll always wail helplessly . |

Lionessza6:The last time we played in Uyo, and even with all our "disgression" and "failing to maintain," you still couldn't beat us. Over there in Bloemfontein, our coach made a tactical blunder, our captain scored an own goal, and our overall gameplay was terrible. But with all your "progress" and "cohesiveness," the best you could manage was a "measly draw" against that circus. The head-to-head record still shows that out of 17 games, you have only won 2 while we have won 8. 😭😭😭😭 Now, this pig farm analogy you brought. I love it! You're right. You are the builder, the meticulous, slow-moving civil servant who wants to follow all the rules and processes. You want to study local laws, build the pig pen, buy the necessary machinery, and hire the experts. And what does all that "structure" and "planning" give you? A team that gets on a bus and still can't get a clean win against our own team of "roaming street pigs." We are the ones with plenty of pigs and no structure, no feed, and no ready market, and yet our "roaming street pigs" are the ones dominating the market and being sold for millions to European clubs. You have all the fancy academies, all the youth programs with the Premier League, all the infrastructure, but you still cannot produce the kind of talent we do with our chaos and confusion. So who is the REAL parasite, my sister? Is it the one who has to build a complete pig farm to produce one average pig, or the one who is making profit with no expenses? 🤔🤔 You are the one who is on edge. We know that on our best day, with our talent, we will beat you anytime, any day, even when we are sleeping. The fact that you are celebrating a draw and calling it progress just shows how low the bar has been set for you. You can go ahead and collect your "participation awards," my dear. We collect real, actual and tangible trophies and we use them to bolster our museum. You haven't had the chance to know how that feels since 1996. You probably weren't even born then so it's likely you've never experienced South Africa winning a single trophy in your lifetime. 🥲🥲🤣🤣 Your World Cup qualification is a trophy you will cherish for life. We have qualified for the World Cup so many times, we use them as tablemats. Go on and enjoy your trip to the USA. We will be there. And we will be pointing and laughing at you when go back home with nothing to show for it. 🤣🤣 |

caprikon:How about a further twist If South Africa gets deducted 3 points and 3 goals and lose to Rwanda Benin beats Rwanda but loses to Nigeria and Nigeria beats both Lesotho and Benin The table will look like this Nigeria 17pts South Africa 17pts Benin 17pts Rwanda 14pts Goal difference then determines who tops the group. Again, giving context that it's still very open (subject of course to FIFA doing the necessary and some miracle happening). |

minfelix:It's way too early for these clowns to be bantering us in football. When we want to talk about real rivals who give us a tough time, we have Ghana and Cameroon. Those are our consistent rivals. Heck, we'll even call Ivory Coast and Morocco before we talk of SA. We've had consistent spells of bad performances and real rivals have capitalized on those moments to at least match our record. When last did South Africa beat Nigeria in a competitive game? How many times have South Africa been to the World Cup and how many times have they managed to get past the group stage? If not for hosting rights, the last time South Africa saw the World Cup, we were still in the 20th Century. Haibo, no wonder Lioness is so overwhelmed with emotions. 😭😭😭😭😭 Lionessza6, you should know better than to banter with your betters. Get your records up and then we can talk. You guys are on the right path, but you're not there yet. And once we put our house in order, you'll never get there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

🚨 TAKE NOTE 🚨 Two teams have already sealed their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Intercontinental Playoffs: 🇧🇴 Bolivia (CONMEBOL) 🇳🇨 New Caledonia (OFC) They’ll be joined by: - 2 teams from CONCACAF (currently looking like 🇨🇼 Curaçao & 🇸🇻 El Salvador) - 1 team from AFC (one of 🇶🇦 Qatar, 🇦🇪 UAE, 🇴🇲 Oman, 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia, 🇮🇶 Iraq or 🇮🇩 Indonesia) - 1 team from Africa (via the playoff route) Only 2 out of the 6 will qualify for the World Cup and based on the likely opponents, Africa's representative has every chance to go all the way. #AfricaSoccerZone #FIFAWCQ |

Ekong was poor for the goal let's call a spade a spade and not a farm implement. Was midfield that basically cost us this game. I defend Iwobi many times but his lack of urgency to shoot in critical positions is baffling because this same guy was popping up everywhere for the SE 6-7 years ago what changed? The less said about Ndidi the better. If we can find decent replacements between now and December Osayi, Ndidi, Chukwueze should be thanked for their service and bid farewell. Ekong is definitely going after AFCON while with Iwobi I'm caught in two minds. I was wrong about Dessers I'm humble to admit no be SE quality at all. Nwabali, Bruno, Fisayo, Uche under probation. Ladies and Gents, lets stay positive. For all we know, we may be presented with a second chance. There is a reason that Handball goal stood. Yall not looking at the window being left us. We can still make it, however slim. What we need to do is win our remaining matches to take us to 17points. Of course this may sound absurd but it is possible for us to still be at the World cup. Lets forget about any perceived wuruwuru that SA may have played. They did their job while we were busy trivializing ,politicizing and tribalizing the choice of players and coach. The love I have for Super Eagles is what makes me feel we have hope against all hope. Remember the last nations cup. There was no way Cote Divoire could have qualified from the group but the window came and they took it. And somehow they got to the finals. Whether they employed dark arts is another matter altogether, But they won! If after all the exercise and hope, we still dont qualify, then we can channel our frustration to the right direction which is NFF. SA will still get ducked in their points. That's for sure! but focus should be on the last 2 matches. Finally, for this to happen, interferences by the FA regarding team selection needs to stop for the purpose of this team playing to potential. The coach also needs to get it right from 1st half. |

Benin's 4:0 thumping of Lesotho yesterday has now taken them ahead of Nigeria with 14 points while Nigeria has 11 points. They also have a goal difference of 4 while Nigeria has two. Papa Rohr is doing wonders ![]()
