Makes sense project.

But why no port challenging apapa port so lagos can decongest.
Now trailer go carry container from Lagos to calabar..
And calabar day ocean line.

It was the observation by the so called clowns that the road was failing due to lack of shoreline protection that prompted the contractor to address the issue, criticism can be constructive if it improves outcomes, intelligent and well meaning people critic an activity to acknowledge that you re making impact and to correct observed flaws.

No intelligence is needed to call people clowns, brainless people do it all the time to project their brainlessness on others and they fail miserably all the time.
No it wasn't..The work minister talked about it from the early days of the project.

Is this not a beauty to behold. That road will open up the coastal ecosystem to tourism and other economic development on a scale never seen before.

But of course the keyboard warriors and haters will never see good coming out of this project. The noise makers of the coalition of failures and their empty skullers followers in alaba market will be very saddened by this wonderful project.

A blind, deaf and dumb being will certainly call this wonderful project a fraud.

Nothing else.

Might not be a bad idea to ask Google or ChatGPT or better still, un a ancestors 😄

Nwaikpe:
But lets ask, why are they even building this?

Thier citizens don't have food to eat, houses to live in, running water, security, and other basic amenities.

What then is the use of this coastal highway?

I WONDER THE PROPRIETY OF SPENDING SO MUCH ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COASTAL HIGHWAY WHEN A FRACTION OF THE AMOUNT COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO DEVELOP WATER TRANSPORTATION TO SERVE THE COASTAL COMMUNITIES AND OTHER COMMUTERS. I SEE SOME FUNDAMENTAL FLAWS IN THE ROAD ALIGNMENT, WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN LOCATED FAR INTO THE HINTERLAND OF THE COASTAL COMMUNITIES, INSTEAD OF A FEW METERS FROM THE OCEAN THAT NECCESSITATED THE COSTLY SHORE PROTECTION!

THE LOCATION OF THE ROAD ALIGNMENT ALONG THE PERIPHERY OF THE COASTAL COMMUNITIES AND CLOSE TO THE OCEAN IS A GROSS MISJUDGEMENT AND AN AFFRONT TO THE FUTURE HABOUR AND WATER TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ALONG THE COASTS. THE POSSIBILITY OF OTHER COASTAL REVENUE YIELDING PROJECTS DEVELOPMENT LIKE BEACHES, HOTELS, AND RECREATION CENTERS HAVE BEEN FORECLOSED BY THE ROAD ALIGNMENT, BECAUSE OF A LACK OF ENOUGH SPACE BETWEEN THE ROAD AND THE OCEAN. WHAT IS A COSTLY MISTAKE!

grin lol when nature wants to do her things humans "protection" is useless.

Best you let nature be.

As for the road, it'll take 50-100 years to be completed as far as Nigeria is concerned.

If you've ever traveled by the road from Lagos to Calabar you'll understand what I'm talking about... If you've not, you won't understand the distance in reality.

Tinubu can't complete it, whoever is coming next won't bother with continuity.

If Tinubu is serious, let construction starts in every state the road will connect, that's the only way this can be completed within 5-10 years.
The idea is just to complete the Lagos segment any future government can abandone it for all they care

If that's the idea, why not tell the people? How will you explain to people you charged for 50 clothes and end up delivering just one clothe?
