Kemi22:A lot of things, Could be timing, could be fuel pump starving of fuel or getting weak, could be adequate air not going into the engine, it could be a misfire or from sparkplug or coil. It could be anything. Just scan and post codes here |

Good evening sir Intermittent starting problem on an 2007 honda Accord . Battery is new and all dash lights come on but when key is turned to start, nothing happens no sound at all. It happens frequently and after turning on and off for some mins, ithe engine starts but the last two times it happened, the first roadside mechanic hit the starter with a spanner and it came on. Second time, another roadside mechanic helped me to connect the starter to the battery directly and asked me to turn on the ignition and it started. I took the car to my mechanic the following day to reassess it and said the kick is still okay and that he will 'service' the kick which he did. Now I'm faced with the same issue again today as the car wouldn't start. Please what could be the root cause because I don't want to replace the kick and still have the same issue again |

snadguy007:What genuine service parts did he use to service the starter motor. Carry out a voltage drop test on starter motor. Your issue sounds like a bad starter motor or a bad ground but in reality it might be something else. That's why you need proper diagnosis |

i everyone, Please I need professional advice for Lexus rx350 accidented. Steering, knee and dash airbags blown. Replaced them, but still has airbags error. Tried clearing it but couldn’t and the technician advised I change the ECU SRS. Got another and left it there to be fixed, upon trying to fix it, the electrician did not disconnect the battery and it led to the side airbags deploying. More expense for me. I am getting new ones but I don’t want same issues happening. How can I fix the error on the dash and program the new airbags. Please help a brother

How can a technician be working on an airbag system and not disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and wait for the electrons of capacitor within the airbag ecu to be discharged. After changing the airbag replace the srs ecu from a vehicle with no history for recorded crash on srs ecu. Because if you retain same srs control unit, light would still remain on or on the other hand clear crash data report with a airbag crash data clearing tool. Good luck on your quest |

mayor2013:Do you have recommendations on where or how to get a virgin SRS ecu or a reliable technician to clear the crash data? |

CinEze:Where's the car located? Dm 07034581213 Do NOT allow someone who's not highly knowledgeable about SRS safety systems to repair or tamper with or modify SRS systems as they may cause expensive damages or even injure or worse case kill people or not deploy when they ought to. |

Goodevening Everyone, my Mercedes Benz glk350 2009 model suddenly developed an issue which resulted into multiple issues. I was driving and suddenly I heard some notice below the car and next thing it showed abs and esp not available. Consult car manual. If I drive it a little distance, it will make same noise if I try to move at a higher speed and the warning sign will start blinking. I scanned it and it showed this codes 5543c(there is an internal fault in component ‘A7/3(Traction system)’ and U140B (implausible left Rear Wheel speed signal received). The next day while taking it to a technician, the car started jerking seriously and I scanned it again and it showed (misfire in cylinder 1, 2, and 3 and also The charge movement flap in cylinder bank 1 has a malfunction) I have changed coils, changed nozzle, bought a new intake manifold yet the car is still misfiring and still showing the same codes even after clearing and resetting. When I clear and reset, it stops but when I drive for 5 minutes on the road, the codes come back and serious misfire happens. For the wheel sensor , I bought another wheeel sensor and it has stopped the code and ABs has stopped showing but the same traction problem persists. Now it’s showing on my dashboard, check brake wear. I’m confused and I don’t know what to do. This car for 3 days has really been a torn on my flesh. A lot of money spent and yet it’s getting worse. I base in Owerri and I will really appreciate help or advice on this. |

Good morning my people, Please someone should help me. My car is a 2013 Toyota Corolla. I got it as Tokunbo in May. When it was bought, the person that helped me inspect and pay for it in Lagos said the brake disc was bad. So the front legs would vibrate when you match the brakes at high speeds. So we changed the discs and brake pads. But when the car was finally delivered to me in the East, I noticed the problem was still there. So I took it to a mechanic who said he would service the calipers. He did and it reduced a bit. But recently, it has gotten worse again. Sometimes you even hear the sound kpa ka kpa ka when you match the brake at first at high speed, as if the brake pads are hitting on the disc. And you feel the vibration on the steering. Could it be that the discs they changed were not good. Or what could be the issue. Please I need help. Also, front suspension parts are good. And vehicle alignment is good. |

Good evening house, I bought a car from a car seller in kaduna I’m from Abuja. We went to kaduna and went to the car stand. I selected the car I bought it 2.7m was told it doesn’t have major problems gear is okay. After I repairs things in the car and spent more than 200k trying to make the car okay. I’ve been noticing the automatic gear has issue until it broke down to me and I had to call the seller who sent his mechanic to pick the car from where it is. I said repairing a gear is something I can’t do and that’s not our agreement. I told him I wanted a refund he agreed to refund me. Now it’s 1 month plus already no refund. What do I do to get my refund please |

James150:Sad that you experienced this. There are many cars in Abuja, many good cars in Abuja and many good technicians in Abuja who are honest but you decided to go to Kaduna. I'm gonna advise you to pull your car out of where you kept it, fix it, count your loss and move on! Why? You most probably bought a Nigerian Used car judging from the amount you said you purchased it, no guarantees and it is assumed you bought it in good faith after inspecting it very well. You had also signed on the receipt and other documents which has some written notes on it to absolve the seller or dealer of any issue as soon as you've parted with cash and driven off. |

kingreign:Good evening boss. I noticed that two small circular plastic components each with a magnet inside fell off from my car’s steering. Immediately after that, the steering shifted downward, almost touching the floor of the car. Please I would like to ask what the name of this small circular plastic part with a magnet is. They are two in number. The technician I called to fix it said that a pair of these circular plastic parts with magnets costs 45k. My car is a 2012 Toyota Camry. Please, I need your insight regarding the exact name of the part and its accurate price. Thank you very much.

Grit2943:Was your steering removed recently or that area worked upon recently? Take a picture of the steering as it fell down let me observe. This white bushing is used to tie the steering to the dashboard brace and I don't think it's anywhere near the quoted price cos that thing hardly fails. It acts as a damper or a spacer between the steering column and the dashboard brace and a pair 12mm or 14mm bolt drives thru it. |

kingreign:It was the day I did wheel alignment that the steering dropped down alongside the airbag. They were almost touching the floor of the car. It happened immediately those two creamy plastic with magnet fell off. I will send pictures later as I am not close to my house at the moment. Thank you very much |

3kay945:If you have the means to buying an OE brand new, why not go for it? But me do not see any reason to buy OE brand new for such an old vehicle (no offense to you). Most brand new sold in the open market are Chinese knockoffs |

Steering rack doesn't spoil. It only spoils when u keep entering flooded areas or water logged areas .to avoid waste of money Try to raise your shocks from back. |
