People should learn to stick to their type in order to avoid embarassment. I would raise an eyebrow if a female graduate decides to marry an illiterate plumber, or a male graduate settles for an illiterate sales girl. It's rare for such a marriage to survive because both of you are from two different worlds with different ideologies.

Now, to the issue at hand, was there any form of marriage discussion between the two people? If no, then the girl is not obligated to say yes to his proposal, but she should be ready to deal with whatever comes her way because she obviously knew what the guy wanted and led him on. As for the guy, I hope he has learnt his lessons.

Skit or not one thing I know is that these things do happen. But what I don't understand is this public proposal some guys won't stop doing, the annoying thing about it is kneeling to propose to a woman that's not even a virgin.

Common sense should tell you your girlfriend will or will not accept to marry you if you wanna take the relationship to the next level. Guys should learn to read women's body language from day1. Women are very good at it, a woman that won't marry you already knows the moment she decided to date you.

She only accepted to date you because of what she would benefit from the relationship for a period of time.


I met my wife a virgin (if you like don't believe me that's your business) and didn't kneel to propose let alone kneeling to propose to one borehole. The fact that I didn't kneel doesn't make me unromantic .......I just told her one-day it was time to see her parents and she was excited. We did our marriage without noise and we have a baby now.
