gidgiddy:Confidently ignorant. Are you unaware that Zik led many reps of eastern region to different conferences where they agreed and requested for an independent Nigeria with other ethnicities? So how do you question your agreement to be part of Nigeria? Ironically some even objected to being part of Nigeria. Its the same Zik and other eastern rep that persuaded/even threatened them to Join the republic. How can his people today question being part of Nigeria? Please stop this ignorant lamentation and solve your problems. |

Buccalcavity2:Independence and agreeing to be part of a union, are two different things. No e of us would Nigerians today had the British not come come Europe to make us so, by force. We are nothing but a British colonial creation. Granted that the British have gone, we must recognise that the same force they used in creating Nigeria, can not be used in keeping Nigeria Therefore, any ethnic nationalities that was roped in by the British, in other to create Nigeria, has a right to opt out Lugard cannot come from Europe to West Africa to create your country for you, you create your country by referendum |

gidgiddy:Ok. Its time to take some responsibilities. Yes amalgamation wasnt your choice. But being part of independent Nigeria was definitely your choice. Kindly read about content of Lancaster house conference 1957/58. Think about it. If one could opt out, it meant others had that choice to do same. But everybody made thier choices. Take responsibilities for your choices. Pleeeeaaaseee! |

Buccalcavity2:What do you mean by independent Nigeria? If we became part of Nigeria by the illegal colonial creation of the White man, being independent does not take away the fact that the country was illegally created. Was I given a referendum to decide if I wanted to be part of either colonial Nigeria or independent Nigeria? No The Lancaster conference was about discussing the terms of living together after independence, nothing more The same Britain that created Nigeria, gave one its constituent area, Northern Ireland, referendum in 1972. It gave another area, Scotland, referendum in 2014 The same Britain left the EU in a 2016 referendum. That same Britain gave Nigeria independence in 1960. The same Britain that made you a Nigerian has shown you Nigerians multiple times that no union should be 'by force' But you Nigerians will be ready to fight war, kill your selves in the millions, to uphold a British colonial creation. Something Britain uses referendum to routinely settle Terrible |

Lets assume that there was secession clause in the 1960 constitution, are we still using the 1960 constitution? Secondly, there was referendum in both the 1960 and 1963 constitution and thats why the midwest region was created through a plebiscite(referendum). Do we have referendum in the 1999 constitution even though it wasn't renoved in 1963? Absolutely not! We have leaders today like we have in 1960, why can't the leaders of today put secession clause since the constitution can be amended at anytime? Its easy to say Azikiwe did not want it hence it was not inserted in the 1960 constitution, however, Azikiwe is just one man. What was Awolowo and Amadu Bello doing to have one man's wish supercede theirs combined? madridguy: |

The British stole the lands of Indigenous people in West Africa in other to create a colony called Nigeria Now some people are telling those whose lands were stolen in other to create Nigeria, to go and look for secession clause before they can reclaim their land back No be juju be that? |

gidgiddy:Your Biafra was based on a British created and lumped Eastern Nigeria which you saw back then and up till date as yours to lord over the minorities You can not condemn 1914 amalgamation and praise the creation of Eastern Nigeria in 1951 with trapped minorities in it who objected to the British from the very beginning to not be yoked with you guys. Remember, Benue province comprising of modern day Benue and Taraba stae were once in southern Nigeria but they begged the British to rather merged them with the north rather than be yoked with you . Stop blaming the British. You blew a good thing . They handed you a territory which you mismanaged with your greed |
| Re: Reno Omokri Educates A Follower On Why Nigeria Remains Indissolube by gidgiddy: 4:09pm On Sep 13, 2025 |
DomPerignon:We have to blame the British, if it were not for them, we wouldn't be in the same country with you guys Thats why after creating Nigeria, they should have conducted a referendum in 1960 to determine who wants to be a Nigerian, rather than granting independence to a country that has not worked since then |

stuffs2002:Absolutely. No intelligent and knowledgeable Nigerian, alive today, believe their secession gaslighting. How ludicrous and laughable is shouting Biafra up and down while the Federal legislative representative they elected are seeking same rights, as their indigene hosts, and greater integration into the political leadership and public administration in the land of others? I really don't understand how they cannot see that they are only making fools of themselves with their inconsistent, contradictory, disjointed and confused noise. They never stop to think and note why no one take them seriously. |

gidgiddy:If serious about that then you'd stay in your region to focus on building it into a geographical space that meets the aspirations of most Igbos so they do not have to relocate daily and permanently, in their thousands, to the States and region of the very same people they claim are holding them back and they wish to be away from. You don't appreciate your hypocritical ways, that does not match your secession noise, has made you lot appear a huge joke to others thus solidly portraying you as a people who never mean what they say and never say what they mean. Yorubas who do not shout secession daily stay in their region yet you lot who disturb with secession noise non-stop for 60 years now have at least 12 million or more Igbos permanently outside the SE and in the land of other Nigerians you insist you are different to, can never get on with and need to be away from. How on earth do you think intelligent, analytical and critical-thinking folks view you and your secession noise? |

WizardOfNG:Stop talking like an ignoramus. Nigeria once got its independence from Britain, it has not prevented thousands of Nigerians from migrating to Britain every year. There are thousands of Chinese in Nigeria, it does not mean that Nigeria is better than China. Just as Britain once gave you Nigerians your independence, you Nigerians should be prepared to give others their independence if that's what they want. After independence, you can enact whatever immigration law you want and restrict whoever you want But to be asking people to move, when you haven't even granted them their independence, that's deciet. Not surprising, Nigeria lasted this long based on deceit |

gidgiddy:Does you IQ stretch into double digit at all? I ask because you don't understand the central point which is that people don't move to where they claim the host are their enemy they want to be away from from. Nigerians who hate Britons, for whatever reason, should stay away from Britain and make their corner of Nigeria utopia. That is how it works. To do otherwise shows you lot are the lowest of unprincipled parasite going to feed from those you claim to hate and wish, with every fibres of your being, to be away from. Daily, you wake to proclaim your hate for Yoruba, Northerners etal and insist they are holding you back. Yet you are boarding buses, in your thousands, to start new and permanent lives in the SE and North. Nigerians migrating to the UK embrace British life and ideals. That is why they assimilate to become like Kemi Badenoch etal. They don't go to the UK to be hateful and bigoted menace shouting that their host are evil, want to kill them and are their worst enemies etal. Something is wrong with you because I can't understand how you and your co-travellers can be blind to what is so obvious to include how others perceive your thinking and behaviour that bereft of what is expected from rational and sane human beings. |

WizardOfNG:Are you guys really this dim? Was Nigeria an enemy of Britain in 1960 because it wanted its independence from Britain ? Did all Nigerians in Britain have to go back to Nigeria before October 1st 1960 because Nigeria wanted its independence? What is difficult to understand that the same way Nigeria celebrates independence from Britain every 1st October, could be the same way others may wish to one day celebrate their independence from Nigeria? Nigeria is just a mere British colonial creation Had Britain not wanted Nigeria to be independent, do you think Nigeria could fight a super power country like Britain? But Britain was advanced enough to know that unity is not 'by force'. Unfortunately, some Nigerians are not this advanced even to this day, which is terrible |
