A former Israeli army commander, Herzi Halevi, has confirmed that more than 200,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured in the war in Gaza, and that “not once” in the course of the conflict were military operations inhibited by legal advice.

Halevi stepped down as chief of staff in March after leading the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for the first 17 months of the war, which is now approaching its second anniversary.

I watched his debates at Oxford uni and you could see he exercising great patience (at his age) against many idealistic teens and early twenties a lot of whom are also confused and parroting talking points that come from youthful idealism but not realism.

I was at a dinner party recently with my guy and his 18 year old daughter where she expressed that she hates Keir Starmer, I'm like how, she said "he is dividing the left". Basically any pragmatism in leadership to that age group is seen as a mortal sin. Keir Starmer sin to them is not giving into unions, the anti-Jooish lobby or not allowing the radical Corbynites take over the Labour Party and start demanding freebies everywhere.

Thank God he even got his deputy to resign, one fewl-ish ladies without a single GCSE to her name always shouting for Government to take care of everyone. How can I be led by someone that didn't pass secondary school exam, who is basically a welfare hustler
