Well, I no one hates a single mother. A single mother is good for a divorced man or widower with children. A sane single man will never opt for a single mother. You don't want to deal with the headache of your wife secretly seeing her ex or having to use all your resources on someone else's kid.

Some tried abortion,it didn't work. The thing is we generalize too much in this area, some single mothers are actually better than some single ladies. The thing is just to find a good one..

I've met a couple of them and trust me the ones I've met are pure bliss.. They were just victim of circumstances..

I had evidence of some of them being in abusive relationships which nearly cost them their lives before they quit.. I've seen some where the man was very irresponsible who does not care about the taking care of the family, all he did was collecting from "her" all to go squander on another girls or alcohol and bets..

Not all single mother are bad and I will choose a single mother over a single girl with serial abortions..

To all single moms digging it out, especially in this period of school fees, may God bless and settle you.

Not true, having just an ex is very different from a single mother because of the baby. The child is just like a bridge connecting both which is almost impossible to break. The ex will always have access to the woman through that baby, both sexually & otherwise.

As a man stay away from single mother if you have ever made made this statement DO YOU KNOW I AM A MAN AND I DESERVE RESPECT, because their son or daughter will hardly regard you, and if you value your old age and peace of mind in your grave flee from single mothers. If she love you, her son will not, nothing you do that will ever satisfy him especially if you have gotten your own son or children.

Very true, though They are also human that deserve second chance but it's just the truth.
They will even tell the man that stayed eventually that they didn't force them to stay and even though they are grateful for being there for them, their hearts is still with their baby daddies.

I know of a lady who was married and few months into the marriage, the husband died. Should she have also aborted the child, because there would no longer be a Father figure? Has she not been plunged into single motherhood that way?

There have been some of our mothers (talking about some mothers we used to see while growing up) who had to be both the father and mother in every sense of the word, just because those fathers were irresponsible.

A woman that became single because of death of the spouse, should not even count here.

It's those ones that had sex (bad thing) without protection (another bad wicked thing) that I'm even concerned about. If not madness, why would you do that? In fact, all of them, both man and woman inside that act dey ment.

Bringing a child up with hate, without both parents present is crazy, wild and dangerous. Not to talk of when one does it deliberately.

I had a colleague, always angry when such issues about guys not settling down with single mothers. Fortunately I don't have an issue with single mothers so long as your story is genuine and checks out (one of my brothers married a single mother).

There should be a way to mark single fathers too and prevent single ladies from marrying them. Because I don’t understand how I’m hearing about single mothers like they are a set of females that chose to impregnate themselves and stand alone.

This argument is tired or should I say ill conceived? The consequences of sex will never be same for men and women (biology made sure of that). Also, men and women are not judged the same way or should I say men and women have certain unwritten priviliges? (this one is formed by the society we live in and ain't nobody gonna change it).
The problem I have is where women keep silent about their privileges but nags about men privileges. Let me quickly run you through four examples of women privileges.

Example one: If a man and a woman set out for any front-facing job today, like say customer support, the odds of a woman getting that job is 75:25 in favour of the woman.

Example 2: In most places on this earth, men criminals caught in the act be looking like Asians while women criminals will still have their body intact with clothes on. Ditto I have been in a vehicle where we were stopped by policemen for stop-and-search. The three men in the car where searched but never the two women. In cases where women are even searched, it is usally light but men, the way your scrotum will be groped?

Example 3: When a woman claims a man hits her or sexually defile her, at least 30% of people believes her instantly and are already showing support and sympathy.

Example 4: In most cases of paternity frauds, not only does the women walk free (the man doesn't get compensation even though he had previously went to jail for not paying child support), in most Western world, the man is also forced to keep paying child support regardless, especially when the real father of the child is deceased.

Example 5: When marriages break up, at the very least it is the man that gets to start from the scratch (get a new home, new job or more jobs, start a new family, etc). 95% of the time, women get the child(ren) at the very least (you may try to trivalize this but ask yourself why women always fight for custody even though some of them are not qualified by their lifestyle of excessive drinking, partying or substance abuse).

So, you see, men and women have privileges but your greatest undoing as a woman will be trying to compete with men on their privileges or even worst, trying to take away their privileges away.
