Ivan Juric on Lookman, who will NOT play this weekend:

"The situation with Lookman is really unpleasant, difficult and frustrating. We had a meeting, and as a coach, I feel we need other things right now. Spirit, fight and work to feel comfortable wearing the shirt. I want other things, a different human level. I want something more and a different sense of belonging. And we will continue this way.

"I have an excellent relationship with the lad, but it’s not that I should be asking him to play. Come on! We are Atalanta, we represent the club and the city. It has to be the other way around. Atalanta needs humility and hard work, I don’t have to beg anyone. That’s not how it works, we need values like humility. He’s a top player, everything he is, but we are all convinced that Atalanta needs strong human values."
Strong value sometimes also means
Stuping low to say I am sorry to the lad

Top 5 CBs in the Premier League and it ain't hype! Market Value go rise again by October 1st no worry.
Bassey have matured to a top tier CB after his Ajax disappointment. Soon big clubs will come calling again for him

I see him like someone that will do massively well in serie A

Christantus Uche debut came late on 84mins as he replaced Yeremy Pino. Came close to a debut goal too. He had a strike on target saved.

Palace finished the game 0-0 vs Sunderland.
he played in midfield or attack?

I forgot to add that Okon's interview was beautiful. I dont know if you saw it right after his heats win.
They told him he had big names in his heat and he still won, wasnt he fazed? Okon answered, "I'm not scared of anyone. I have two legs, they also have two legs..."

Left sided 10.

Uche balled today. Won a penalty but English refs are blind, won all his duels (or got fouled), created 3 solid chances, carried the ball well and changed the momentum of the game once he came on. If he came on in the 60th minute they would probably have won.

Replaced Pino who played behind Mateta, majorly from the Right and central half spaces in the attacking third.

Uche was found on the left and central half spaces in the 10mins he featured (6mins + 4mins added time) as an AM.

3 options...

1. Put Benjamin Frederick there at RB for now (he has excelled there at Dender). Ogbu can come take up that CB role vacated by this change. Or ofcos... Skipper Ekong continues as CB.

2. I will bring in that new Slavia kid. Keeping Frederick at CB

3. Switch to a back 3 and play Osayi as RWB with specific instructions to the CDM and the RCB to cover for Osayi's frailties.

2023 Flying Eagles star, Emmanuel Umeh plays 88mins for FC Zurich as they beat Servette 2-1 in the Swiss Super League.

Philip Azango scores for Spartak Trnava as they beat Skalica 4-0 in the Slovakian Nike Liga to stay top.

Abdulrahman Taiwo also got on the scoresheet for Spartak Trnava.

the player in slavia is too old, the defense needs fast defenders that are under 26 years old..

a transition to younger players must start as soon as possible or the SE is deceiving themselves.

It's either Awaziem plays at RB and Benjamin plays CB or Ogbu comes in to partner Bassey with Ben at RB. Ekong should get a seatbelt henceforth please. Let him take over from Musa.

But yes. I agree with Awaziem to RB as another option while Benjamin keeps his CB place.

That is Option 4 @Elyte89

Simply just name dropped him because I know Chelle still sees him as an option but left entirely to me, he wont even come off the bench to see off games anymore. I wont take that chance as coach. A lot can happen even in the 5mins I dare put him on for.

Emmanuel Ayaosi, CAM plays 90mins for MFK Karvina vs Slavia Prague in the Czech Chance Liga. His side fell 3-1.

David Moses, CM played 12mins + 5mins added time for Slavia Prague off the bench. No Igoh Ogbu in matchday squad.

Lucky Ezeh, FW played 18mins + 5mins added time for Karvina.

Chidozie Awaziem plays all 90mins at CB for Nantes vs OGC Nice in Ligue 1. Nice won 1-0
He made an error that led to the only goal of the game.

Terem Moffi came off the bench and played 28mins + 8mins added time for Nice.

Babatunde Akinsola played all 90mins as his side, AVS Futebol SAD lost 3-1 to Estoril in the Portuguese Liga.

Eric Chelle and the Super Eagles will be African Champs by January 18th, 2026 if the squad keeps morphing in the right direction.

Bassey and Benjamin need more games together.

Tolu needs a few more games to permanently cement himself as our 2nd striker after Obvious First Choice Osimhen.

Chelle has to a find a way to fit in Christantus Uche into the Starting XI and utilise Iwobi closer to the final third and not further away from it as a deeplying orchestrator.

Chelle should find the best midfield synergy from strongest to bench options.

Chelle has to also realise when to and when not to use Simon Moses. He is not meant for every opponent. There are days a Chukwueze will suffice rather than a Simon.
Moses Simon will be his undoing. Let him continue to show Simon favoritism.

You forget his wing was moribund for much of first half because the boys kept playing on the left.

For me, I'm not in a hurry to discard Ndidi. The problem is our coaches doing the same thing and expecting different results. I do not understand why Onyedika doesn't start. Thesupernerd has written too much on the subject of midfield combinations.

Truly, our MF should not be as disappointing as it is
We have been on this midfield issue for more than five years now. Is it that difficult a problem to fix?

It's obvious that he's favoring Simon. Look at how our goal came from a cross by Dele Bashiru. All game Simon tried beating his marker but he couldn't.

I'm old school. The right wingers of the past were not dribblers but excellent ball crossers. Simon is not a good dribbler. Even me, I can mark that guy.

Our midfield lacks real talents;talents with qualities. Invite Chibuike Nwaiwu and Onuche Ogbelu.

Chibuike is strong in the air, with his long legs he defends and disposes opponents easily. He is also a goal scoring defender/midfielder.

Ogbelu can hold the ball, pass, blocks and can shoot from distance;what we don't have in the present super eagles set up.
Na so them talk about Chrisantus. I never feel the guy oo.

See ehn I have this theory. A good player makes instant impact. I don't believe in players growing into the team oo. That's why I don't fancy all them Boniface, Dessers, Onuachu, Sadiq who have played a couple of games without any impact

Sometimes I don't know whether to envy this guy or to pity him. 😭

When it comes to this Super Eagles business, please show me just 1 fan who is more loyal and faithful than Tox.

No, not you Banky. 🤣🤣
The truth is that as a fan your level of hope is determined by the body language of the players. Do these players still believe that we can qualify?

I keenly followed Super Falcons in their quest for mission X. Even when they were trailing 2-0, I sat down because I could see that they themselves had the deep conviction that they could win.

In our last match, only Bassey played with that kind of spirit.

There's a difference between playing well and not giving up.
