It's interesting how Nigeria holds itself to integrity in football and shits on every other thing
it’s not integrity kankan, it’s anyhow ness, they were supposed to inspect the stadium before hand and complain if they aren’t satisfied with the condition but I’m sure they didn’t do that

Christantus Uche debut came late on 84mins as he replaced Yeremy Pino. Came close to a debut goal too. He had a strike on target saved.

Palace finished the game 0-0 vs Sunderland.
Crystal Palace fans have just been praising him on Twitter...

Happy Sunday guys

🚨 Nigeria legend Segun Odegbami wants the Super Eagles to be rebuilt around a new generation of players, beginning with Brighton defender Benjamin Frederick and AC Milan’s rising star David Odogu.

👤 Odegbami 🎤: "20-year old debutant, Benjamin Frederick, played brilliantly and safely in the match against Rwanda.

"There was no justification to have kept him on the bench in the next match for an aging William Troost-Ekong (editor's note: Fredrick started the game but Trooost-Ekong was replaced at halftime). Now we know better. Benjamin is the revelation of the year for me.

"There are a few others in the horizon, untainted by the ‘failure’ of the current generation, sprouting around the European football circuit.

"There is David Odogu. I wrote about him about a year ago. He was 18 years old at the time and was an integral part of the winning German team at the last Under-17 World Championship.

"Three weeks ago, he was signed by Italian giants, AC Milan. He is that good. Nigeria has the opportunity to lure him to play for the Super Eagles. His combination with Benjamin Frederick will be, in my estimation, the best pairing at the centre of any defense in Africa for the next decade."
who told big segz that this Odogu guy want to play for us

Okon just came up short but has a bright future at 18.

Kanyinsola might officially be our next star boy in the 100m after so many years. Finished second in his heat just behind world and olympic champ Lyon.

After an 18 year wait Nigeria finally has a rep in the 100m finals and with his confidence who says he can't nick a medal.

I forgot to add that Okon's interview was beautiful. I dont know if you saw it right after his heats win.
They told him he had big names in his heat and he still won, wasnt he fazed? Okon answered, "I'm not scared of anyone. I have two legs, they also have two legs..."

Naija Energy! Lol

Yes. You were satisfied with Haram league's Ekong's back to back calamity in two crucial WCQs fixtures so there should be no issues with Awaziem who is back in Ligue 1 and has been playing consistently... in 2025.
Let's be honest ..Awaziem isn't as bad as some people paint him here

He has his days

9.92 behind Lyles' 9.93 to make the final. I am excited. Final is later today. I hope he shocks us all and medals today!
Ajayi beating Simbine is a statement. He can try.
Nigeria's first 100m world champs final in 18 yrs since Fasuba.

And yes, I hope Okon keeps getting better. Kid is definitely talanted. Quick off the blocks but needs to work on his acceleration technique and more. Rooting for him.

Are you talking about Godwin Enakhena?

Enakhena
Alimikhena (former senator representing Edo North)
Illenikhena (I know a family member who is a medical doctor in Benin City)
They all sound the same but they are different spellings and they are from Edo North in Edo State.

Plays so elegantly, glides like a gazelle, with close control and silky smooth skills.

Her level is above the Canadian league. She should be playing in the American league, or top 5 European leagues like England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy.

You said it all.

From the body language of players, you know how desirous a team is.

In the last WAFCON our girls were all over the Moroccan team even though they were at a disadvantage being two goals down from a hostile home team with fans advantage.

They came with grit and conviction in the second half that eventually worked in their way, their positive mentality was what affected the Moroccans after they conceded the 1st goal which our girls capitalised on. Even if we had later go on to lose that match, I would be satisfied as a fan because we didn't go out without a fight.

The only match I could remember the eagles had similar mentality as the girls was in AFCON 2019 round of 16 Vs Cameroon.

Our Super Eagles are too jittery they are afraid of losing hence they play safe especially when it's a match they are expected to win.
From the 4-4 draw vs Sierra Leone, to the 2022 world cup qualifier vs Ghana in Abuja to the 1-1 draw vs Zimbabwe and the current 1-1 draw with South Africa.
I think we need a mentality change in the team.
There's a way the Falcons play. Like "we're not supposed to be losing this".
It is missing in the SE

Exactly. It's the same mentality Madrid has. Man U used to have it. Super Eagles have lost it pata pata. If Nigeria is playing Lesotho, our players play like Lesotho while Lesotho plays like Nigeria.

Kanyinsola came 6th in the end no shame when competing against world class athletes.

Honestly the AFN should get its acts together because we have a potential generation of sprinters getting unearthed and it will be tragic to bungle it again.
