ichuka:In 2014 Lagos to Ibadan Expressway was a jungle and nightmare. Sagamu to Ore was nightmare when Jonathan decided to construct the Lagos Calabar Coastal Railway line. If he had started that time would that have also be a wasted resources? We cannot be stagnated forever. Globally, Coastal Highway creates new economic opportunities. The rate of return on investment is very good. |

The most stupid thing to do by a government is to abandoned the spoilt and deteriorable roads infrastructure all over the country especially those roads in the entire Southern Nigeria, a region that brings the funds for you to be able to engage in all your excessive shenanigans and starts flirting with another roads called coastal roads and be sinking fund into this gulping expenditures that wouldn't add any value to the citizens lives at the moment......the best a good government can do to be fair is to embark in the two at the same time......Nigerians are suffering on the deteriorable roads all over the country.....some roads in Gaza, a war torn country is far better than the roads in Nigeria. Government should be ashamed of themselves......Tinubu especially should cover his face in shame......You can't be calling a person a thief and still caught him romancing a chicken.....What a disgusting Shame on all Nigerian leaders..... |

Racheal45:Look at the bigger picture. Are you familiar with Abuja - Kaduna expressway? That was once hot bed of banditry and kidnappings. In fact I was too afraid to ply that road during those days that I had to join the train to get to Kaduna during those days ![]() Here we are that same road, when last did you get a report of banditry or kidnapping on that road? |

Kaa4:When completed, there would be development along the corridor, opening up development on the villages and towns along the corridor. Filling station, hotel accommodations etc and reduce travel hours along the corridor. As we speak some smart guys have started buying land for Hotel eateries and filling station. |

ichuka:The coastal road economies are more viable than the existing ones. What makes it the best legacy project in the history of the country are as follows: 1. Opening up the uncovered areas in the South South. These uncovered areas are the parts the bandits and kidnappers are using for their nefarious activities. 2. Shore protection works along the corridor will preserve the coastal communities that the ocean surge have demisified over the years. 3. Since there is arrangement for tolling, the maintanace is guaranteed and also revenue generation for the FG. 4. Encouragement of exportation along the coastal and reduce dependence on Lagos for marine economy. 5. Massive business opportunities to the forgotten states like Bayelsa and Delta because the coastal roads is, opening them up for merchandising and non oil businesses 6. It will reduce over dependence on the East West road which is expiring already ( the average life span of asphalt road is believed to be 20- 25 years). While many see it as misplaced priority, I think it is a right call and the right time because waiting till when things will be balanced will never ever happen. The only perfect place was only promised and never experienced by mortals. |

AsgardKing:So Nigeria should spend trillions of naira to build a coastal highway of fraud when it is yet to tackle issues like insecurity and electricity and even fix existing inter-state roads? It’s like a poor man saving to buy a high end car when he doesn’t even have a roof over his head, just to measure up with rich celebrities That’s how your logic sounds |

seunmsg:When did you last travel between Sagamu and Benin? This major economic thoroughfare can now be described as a death trap, and that is an understatement. Nigerians are losing their lives and livelihoods every day on what should otherwise be known as the gateway between the south and the west. Only Tinubu and his friend Gilbert Chagoury know what is going on inside those swamps. |

Mandate1 post=136801867[i:To be truthful its not irrelevant. Why should road from Lagos to say Calabar/Abuja be passing different states? That's total waste of time and stress. There should be separate road for long stretch of travel I travel from Lagos to/fro Abuja for business.. passing thru Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti/Ondo/Kogi to Abuja which you term inter-state roads are total outdated/waste of time. Direct/coastal roads are much better, save time.. you know time is money.. Also open up communities. In an European country, I travelled from one city to the capital, the road was just straight and decidated road, not going thru states. |

Emnyte:Imagine rather than use that to leverage their opportunities to counter importation of rice they started elevating their price to match imported ones and ended making Nigerians feel what the essence of stopping importation. E just get as e be oooo. That's why Nigerians lament, I shake my head. I think they embrace being fed lies more than bracing up to face reality. |
