i'm already seeing the negative comments of the enemies of progress. and i can only say one thing, which i have always said about this noble project. Unfortunately for them, Tinubu does not need their permission before doing what he has to do. Anybody who is not happy with this project is very free to continue using the old road when it's completed. as for us, we will use the road, we will leave from Lagos by 7am through the is;land and see ourselves in PH at noon. Even when it is tolled, we will pay.

Everybody wants to jap simply because they have access to many things, including infrastructure but to build their own, mbanu! they claim it's not necessary, na road them go chop? smh!

You guys don't get the argument, fix existing roads that r in deplorable conditions before you embark on projects that won't be completed during your life span.
Also you r borrowing to do a project that will take more than 10yrs at the current speed to be completed, what if the next occupant of Aso Rock decide not to continue on that project especially if he comes in and check the books seeing so many errors, inflated figures and whatnots?


Go to Akwaibom, the Ibom specialist clinic built n commissioned by akpabio, there is an abandoned facility in that complex, when Udom came in, in the transition documents the project was 100% completed, commissioned and opened to the public, meanwhile most contractors were not paid, the second building wasnt fully equipped, they just hurriedly commissioned the first building cos He(Akpabio) was rounding up his tenure as governor.

This is a project to loot. A white elephant project with no purpose. They know what they are doing. Only dumb people will believe thier gimmick. Bunch of looters. They just cleared one part of the bush and said project has commenced. Bunch of jokers

This was disclosed in a policy brief released by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), titled “Two Years Later: Key Benefits of Subsidy Removal,” and made available to journalists over the weekend in Abuja.

The report, which reviewed the outcomes of the subsidy removal since May 29, 2023, noted that the policy averted a looming economic crisis.

It also enabled the Tinubu administration to clear long-standing financial liabilities, increase capital investments, and support the financial stability of state governments.

I passed the cross River section along Akamkpa road, saw the signpost, no truck was there.

Iam bitter and frustrated cos anytime i travel to uyo from Calabar, i spend more than 3hours, thats if there is no gridlock.
That is an existing road reawarded by Buhari in 2018, till now work hasnt even reach 30% if you sum up the entire project from Calabar to ikot ekpene.

I can't ignore a house that I'm living, which is leaking and having serious foundational fault and at the verge of collapse, run to another location, start building a new apartment, not just apartment, Duplex with borrowed funds...

That's stupidity, cluelessness...

Can you compare the hunger in the land today to before. Can you compare Jonathan's time to this. People can't even afford protein. People begging for the fish head that was reserved for dogs before, to the extent they are now selling the fish head. On nutritiist was listing mushroom and insects as alternative sources of protein because they noticed people can't even afford fish, others were commenting crayfish is now expensive.

Dave Umahi has said how much a km of the Lagos Calabar coastal highway cost, but closed minded people like you have refuse to listen.

It's so funny people like you who support politicians and parties like Obi, Atiku and the PDP can be asking how much a km of road cost sha Under the PDP administration , they just tell us they have constructed a road without telling us how much it cost per km.

PDP will claim to have spent billions of naira on a road, when you get there, you won't see what they spent the money on.

Uyo to Calabar expressway is not the only expressway that's in a bad shape in Nigeria, if Obasanjo, Yardua and Jonathan built solid roads like Tinubu is building, we won't be where we're today.

The issue with u yorubas is you guys dissociate Tinubu's tenure from Buhari.
Apc has done 10yrs sofar, by 2027, that will be 12yrs., the road in question was reawarded by Buhari around 2018 if I'm not mistaken, this is 2025, 7yrs later the project hasn't reach 30%..

I'm not from the south south and i don't know much about the road because it's not really popular. But roads like Benin-Auchi,East West road, Benin-Asaba, etc were in bad condition. Even the road that leads to Otuoke was in bad condition till it was fixed by the APC

Shey you don see the kin quality road Tinubu is building on the east west road? If Jonathan built the east west road, Tinubu will be busy building Uyo Calabar road
