There's this confidence and morale he brings to a team as a whole

SA hav finally perfected their ojoro we knew thats why dey hav been wasting time. Untill they gathered the courage the make their fraud public. If this was nigeria or eny other country in the group topping.. they would quickly deduct th3 point.
It's irrelevant atp. After the draw with SA, the playoffs became our most realistic option to qualify through.

That Eritrea stuff might also be helpful, but the problem I have is that the circumstances surrounding it are not well defined. For the life of me, I can't find any tournaments online where FIFA cancelled the results of last placed teams in group qualifiers and yet I'm seeing many people hold on to it for hope.

Funny enough, he is recognisable. He is the El Kanemi warriors lad who led his side to the Federation Cup title in 2024 under Aliyu Zubairu and also helped them gain promotion to the NPFL (24/25 season) from the 23/24 NNL season. Quite industrious tbh. Featured at the U20 WafuB qualifiers too where he laid on 2-3 assists in 4 games. Assisted Kparobo too for one of the goals in the final vs Ghana.

He is now abroad with Gabala of Azerbaijan. Strange move if u ask me.

If any coach can help him achieve that , it's definitely Brendan Rodgers
no wonder. That was his coach at leicester. Apart from that "season" iheanacho really didnt perform much under him

🚨𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟: FIFA will merge the September & October international breaks into one 16-day window starting 2026/27, aiming to reduce travel and boost player welfare.

On That Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor game played yesterday. I have taken my time today to see the events leading up to Onuachu's disallowed goal and to be honest, he was robbed. Didnt hit Skriniar at all who play-acted like a sissy.
Same Skriniar committed a horrendous two footed foul on Onuachu and was not sent off.

That Milan Skriniar guy ehn... he will get what he deserves.
Same dude responsible for Osimhen's orbital/cheekbone injury back in 2021.

When Gala faces Fenerbahce this season, we shall see.

Let me add that this lad, Amos Onyejefu Ochoche, was also Awarded Player of the Season at his former side, Sporting Supreme FC in the 23/24 NNL season before he signed for Reims in 2024.

Genuine talent.
Grateful for the good work you do keeping up on the talent factory line. For one, it forestalls the trademark ignorant criticisms and write off.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
Let me firstly pinpoint that nothing is set in stone on any of these lads. They all have to make the right "next step choices" after the WC. Some are already on the right career growth and development path.

Also, Super Eagles invites for talented youngsters come either via top exceptionality of the player from a tactical or technical viewpoint (e.g. Iheanacho in 2015/16, Osimhen in 2017, Chukwueze in 2018) or availability needed in a certain role (e.g. Kenneth Omeruo in 2013)

In this light... My pre-tournament picks as Future Super Eagles prospects are:

- Ebenezer Harcourt, GK (Already debuted with the CHAN Eagles)
- Odinaka Okoro, LB
- Arierhi Nathaniel Kparobo, CF
- Daniel Daga, MF
- Amos Ochoche, RB

That is ALL for now. Note that lads like Ahmed Akinyele, Freedom Marvellous, Sani Suleiman, even KFA's Kamaldeen are rated by me but would need to show me more at the upcoming tournament.

After the WC, I will have my Post-tournament picks.

You welcome.

Always a pleasure my good man. Nothing excites me more on our lads (apart from their eventual successes) than their beginnings. To see talent early and root for them, believing and even knowing that they can become Stars of our football tomorrow.

Note: The Official 21 will be unveiled on friday, Sept 19th. I dont know what other changes would be made but I hope we can get in Hafiz of Reims and maybe 2 other top lads to replace some I dont even recognise on this list.

This is a completely new list aside the boys who played the u20 AFCON. Only Harcourt, Abubakar, Okoro, Bameyi, Maigana, Arierhi, Ayuma were retained. Wow....
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
Let me add that there talents who could not make the list for the world cup that I am almost certain or let me say strongly hopeful would be Super Eagles in the near or long term future.

Emmanuel Chukwu, CB is one example.
Hafiz Umar Ibrahim, CF is another.

In all, Time will tell it all.

Only 10 were retained if I count Charles Agada (injured throughout the U20 Afcon).

They are:

Harcourt, GK
Rufai Abubakar, GK (hero in 3rd place match)
Bameyi, CB (Captain)
Odinaka Okoro, LB
Israel Ayuma, MF
Auwal Ibrahim, MF
Nasiru Salihu, MF
Tahir Maigana, Winger
Arierhi Kparobo, CF
Charles Agada, ST (Injured throughout U20 Afcon, been with team since Afcon qualifying-Wafu B U20s)

The other 11 are the new faces.

Another Naija Top U21 talent, Victor Orakpo, CF starts for Montpellier away at Guingamp in Ligue 2. Recall, he is on loan from OGC Nice.

Gift Orban played 80mins for Hellas Verona in Serie A. Had 3 shots on target, 5 shots overall before being subbed off. Game still goalless at 87mins currently.

I feel it's unfair to deduct any points already won. The fair thing to do in my own opinion is to award 3 pts and 3 goals against Eritrea for every game they missed, that is, assume it was a no show by Eritrea like they failed to turn up.

This is The Flying Eagles flying out to Istanbul tonight before heading to Santiago, Chile.

It is meant to be a 21-man list.

19 players counted in the photos before their departure. The 2 missing are Arierhi Kparobo and Daniel Daga who I believe will join them in Istanbul or Santiago, Chile.

I see...

Daniel Bameyi (skipper)
Israel Ayuma
Ebenezer Harcourt
Odinaka Okoro
Tahir Maigana
Ahmed Akinyele
Auwal Ibrahim
Amos Ochoche Onyejefu (Reims B RB)
Sani Suleiman (As Trencin winger formerly of Akwa utd)
Charles Agada (he's back!)
Orseer Achihi (Royal Antwerp)
in 7 years time,Daniel Bameyi will still be eligible for the flying eagles cheesy

HISTORY MADE!

For the first time in 18 years since Olusoji Fasuba reached the 100m final at the World Championship! A Nigerian man has made the final thanks to Kanyinsola Ajayi after he stormed to a blistering 9.93s in the semifinal at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships, finishing 2nd to secure automatic spot in the final!

Noah Lyles 🇺🇸 - 9.92
Kanyinsola Ajayi 🇳🇬 - 9.93

Henry Onyekuru missed a late penalty for Genclerbirligi after coming in on 83mins. His side went on to lose 1-0 vs Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Ibrahim Olawoyin played 61mins for Rizespor.

Oghenekaro Etebo is still nursing an injury and wasnt in match day squad for Genclerbirligi.
Tom Dele Bashiru only recently signed for them, so was not listed.
