The heading is misleading. This is normal form A students did during the Buhari regime that u will be on the queue and your money may take internity before being debited.

The advantage of this especially is when you are outside Nigeria and don't want to patronize apps which will be higher in price and not too reliable.... Also, when the foreign institution has bank transfer has its only means of receiving the fees.

Also banks like GTB(Providus bank alreàdy has it) now have Naira debit cards you can use for online payments and withdrawals outside Nigeria with better limits beyond $20.

Nigerians suffered during PMB's time some were even duped as one's Nigerian debit card wouldn't work due to his new policies.

CBN can do better and stretch this to cover payments outside tuition fees eg from $500.

When this thing started, you could not even make some basic subscriptions which were Google-related - not companies who would approach CBN for any USD. Not the expert on this stuff, but I didnt have the sense that the country was losing USD / Forex that way because if they accepted your naira card and converted it in electronic money to their currency offshore automatically, such naira monies surely must reflow to naira expenditure destinations to balance up. Anyway, as I said, this is not my area of expertise, but one thing no one can argue about is that that policy did not have any positive impact on our forex flows whatsoever, or even the rate of the naira, etc, so I struggles to see the benefit.

In fact, after the policy was implemented things only ever got worse by every forex metric. . . .

Why you want to transfer to a CC? They usually have credit limit, so why would a company want to transfer to a CC?

I may have erroneously said cc. What these politician's people need is just an acc. with deep limits. For tranches. First is to find the AMEX seff. Seems few people are in possession of this very acc. I have business chase and others but not AMEX, which is needed.
