Hello everyone. The account I presented as financial evidence, is it advisable to use same account to make payments for my visa application?
But make sure you POF doesn't drop below the minimum amount required

For proof of finance for the UK visitor visa applications, are you sure there is a minimum amount that is required as POF?

Good evening house, please I want to ask a question and I need clarification. Can salary get increase from #400,000 to #1,000,000 due to promotion, hope this will not cause an issue when applying for a visa but the #1,000,000 salary will be paid for 4 month before applying for a visa only 2 month #400,000 salary will be reflect on the 6 month bank statement.

I intend to use 6 month base on say that's normal UK requirement, can I put in the application with the 2 month #400,000 salary.

I have applied for many people with two or three months bank statements,

If you still want to use 6 months, it is okay. But you need to state in your cover letter why your salary wasn't the same for all months.

What you should put in the application is what you are CURRENTLY earning, which also should reflect in your bank statement.

There is NO rule that an applicant must present 6 months statement.

Hello everyone. I asking for a first hand experience of anyone that has recently used Turkish airline from Lagos to London with a layover in Istanbul? Does it require transit visa? The layover is just about 2hrs..I'm confused because I have been seeing conflicting information about it. Even called their help desk in Nigeria and she said transit visa is required while another page says otherwise. Thanks.

You generally do not need a transit visa if:
• You stay in the international transit/transfer area at Istanbul airport. You don’t pass through immigration or exit the transit section.
• Your layover is under 24 hours and you're only connecting to another flight.

You don't need a transit visa if you are not going through Immigration.

I hope this helps.

ESTIMATED COST FOR TRIP

Departing and return flight ticket: NGN 1,568,000 (GBP 764.185)

Miscellaneous NGN 500,000 (GBP 243.681)

Applicant has financial sponsorship who will contribute 2.5 million naira

Applicant has accomodation sponsor that will host and provide feeding.

The trip will only be for 3 days.

Applicant has 400,000 naira in the bank account.

Sponsor has 5 million naira in the bank account.

From these, is 1,229 pounds okay for total estimated cost of trip?

And is the applicants bank account balance of 400k naira okay, though there's a sponsor?

Even though you have a sponsor, they will still put your own financial situation into consideration.

The visa officers are often skeptical when an adult visa applicant claims a third party is sponsoring their trip, especially if the sponsor is not an immediate family member, the applicant is unemployed/underemployed, or the applicant is not financially stable.

Their primary concern is whether the applicant is a "genuine visitor" who intends to leave the UK at the end of their visit and not work or live there.

A lack of your own personal funds can signal a weak economic tie to your home country, raising doubts about your motivation to return back to Nigeria.

Good afternoon everyone,

Please I'd appreciate your assistance with resolving this as I plan to reapply.

Please how do I correctly identify/calculate my monthly expenditure? I initially summed up and averaged my debits and realised the amount stated in the application (most transfers from my salary account go to other personal accounts).

For my savings, I attached reference letters from money market, piggyvest and bamboo (my salary account does not reflect the transfers to these platforms).

Please how do I address the issues raised to ensure smooth sailing?

Thank you in advance.

1. They said something about your salary not reflecting in your account.

2. Bank statement not clear. It's better for the bank to send you the statement of account directly to your email or you get it from your bank app so you don't need to scan it.

3. I am not sure if reference letters are enough to convince them of savings in money market, piggvest and bamboo.

Thank you for your responses. Please see my answers below.

1. They said something about your salary not reflecting in your account.
It reflects but I guess because the bank statement was not clear, it was difficult to show. Also the salary I stated in my application fluctuated on my bank statement as I was repaying a loan earlier in the year and it was deducted from my salary by the company. I thought the ECO would tie my payslips to my statement so I didnt explain this in my cover letter.

2. Bank statement not clear. It's better for the bank to send you the statement of account directly to your email or you get it from your bank app so you don't need to scan it.
Would work on this

3. I am not sure if reference letters are enough to convince them of savings in money market, piggvest and bamboo.
Please what do you propose I do?

The only scenarios that would make this application sail through is if this is for an elderly or aged parent coming to see their child or someone coming to write exams or a serious professional engagement or a person with extensive travel history to 1st world nations.
Otherwise abort mission, can not get a UK visitor visa with this profile described here.
3 days? What exactly is purpose of trip? Pls say exam.

Hello everyone, please I need guidance for my application.

If your trip is sponsored by a government agency, would they expect you to add bank statement of the organization to your application?

Secondly, I understand people add their children's birth certificates to demonstrate home ties in cases where the children are not travelling with them, what if the children are US citizens that don't need visas to the UK, is it still necessary to add their birth certificates? They are not travelling with me.

Thank you in advance for your help

Subject/Title: UK Student Visa – 24 Working Days Waiting, No Decision Yet

Message:
Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m applying for a UK Student Visa and I did my biometric on 19th August. After the standard 15 working days, I received a message saying they couldn’t give a decision yet.

It has now been 24 working days, and I still haven’t heard anything from UKVI. My course starts soon, and I haven’t been asked to provide any additional documents. I’m worried but also hoping this is just part of the normal processing.

Has anyone experienced a similar delay? How long did it take for your decision to drop? Any advice or insights will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

I don't think govt agency would give you bank statement.
But ask the agency to provide a letter stating that the are sponsoring (include, flights accommodation etc) the purpose of the trip and that you are their staff.
I know giive agencies usually give you the funds upfront so usually might want to add that into your section on additional information.e.g I get xxcc stipend for accommodation and yyyyyy for flight and ground transportation.

If it's in naira you can highlight that part in your bank statement
