Aroko feeding off scraps from a lame Wolves MF

Sooner he will have to watch from the bench cuz he's not a hustler like Osi upfront

Terrible play from Wolves

Wow. Just thought of it. A well run nigerian club can join the man city football group. There are even other football groups around the world that may be thinking of expanding to africa

I have confidence in the U20 boys. Chelle should monitor them. Our old boys in SE are no longer dedicated.
As in, better microscope, or even laser vision sef. Make Chelle just dey follow dem up steady. Those boys are something else. That their last World Cup outing really opened my eyes.

Victor Boniface, Felix Agu, Justin Njinmah and Bremen get "knacked" 0‐3 at home by SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

Unfortunate. Bony came in on 60mins for Njinmah. Yellow carded on 90mins for a bad foul.

Bad day for Bremen.

Omo... Is it just me or Arokodare doesn't have good positioning?

And he doesn't press or "hustle" for the ball enough, he just seems to be strolling on the pitch most of the time.

I hope he gets better soon enough.

It is not his positioning. It is his workrate. This is what I explained to folks on X/twitter. The Tolu Hype train before his Full NT debut calling him the closest thing to Victor Osimhen

I immediately jumped on it and said, Tolu is a totally different CF profile compared to the Monstrosity that is Osimhen so he cant be the closest we have to Victor. He is a decent goal scorer, a fine player but NEVER IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS OSIMHEN when we talking Strikers.

Thing is I like that he delivers for Nigeria lately but he needs to bring his physicality more into play in the EPL and his workrate level has to go up.

Aroko's Wolves is going into regulation for sure if nothing is done fast and he's probably going down with them

The team is sluggish, no MF and no service for strikers the defence is laced with heavy footed tired legs

Has Aroko the Jupiler league highest goal scorer picked a wrong PL team?

Wolves were already relegation bound before he joined them
That's why I wasn't excited about the move..
I hope he proves himself in some way, to at least get a decent move if they end up being relegated

I'm happy that they used different jersey numbers to play this friendly. Hope no one was injured?

Hope dey, hope dey, to qualify. That's the song on repeat. Hope dey yet we bottled our lead against Zimbabwe and drew SA with serious struggle.

Thing is that these players lack self belief and aggression.

The old eagles, always fought hard until the last blast of the whistle even in marches they lost.

We remember Taribo (it was said that he hated losing) playing with a blood soaked bandage on his head, bleeding his heart out in our match at the world cup 2002. We remember him weeping profusely when we eventually lost.

In those days, even if Nigeria is losing 4-0, we the fans will still be pumped up with hope and anticipation that we can turn the tide. In fact we were more dangerous after conceding.

Afcon 2000, we fought hard and came back from a 2 goal deficit. In 2004, we fought hard, came back from a goal deficit and broke the jinx of Cameroon.

Today it is only the Falcons who embody that unyielding warrior spirit. Super Eagles have lost it. If they are winning, we go dey fear. If they concede, we go just give up because we know they don't have it in them to fight.

Sometimes it's not tactics. It's mentality, a winning mentality. Sadly our team doesn't have it. That's why I am now indifferent regarding our world cup hopes. I still pray they qualify sha.

No injury report. The team went behind first in the first half but raised their level just enough to get the equaliser. Shows good comeback mentality. They obviously didnt push themselves too much in the game coz they have another on tuesday.

The WC Proper group opener vs Norway remains the koko.

The result is VERY decent and the number scattering dey muse me. Lol. The real jersey numbers assigned each player will be revealed just before matchday on the 29th
