A Scary And Alarming incident In A Lagos Hospital by DelilahMakinde(op):
I found this story on Facebook, I can't verify the authenticity but please read and be aware, for yourself and your loved ones.

I am just leaving Union Galaxy hospital mortuary in Fadeyi, Lagos where a comatose 26 year old man was almost forced to die for real because the mortuary management wanted to collect mortuary service and embalment fees from the family.

PLEASE if you live in Lagos, pay careful ATTENTION to this post before your loved ones fall victim!!!

Some mortuaries in Lagos are now ensuring that once a body is brought in for storage and embalment, that body is made to kpaiii for real— even if the person was in a coma they were later going to wake from.

Usually when a body is deposited in the morgue, the coroner is supposed to ensure that after the inquest, the body be cleaned and left unmutilated and chemicalized for the customary 48 hours before refrigeration or embalment.

This is for the purpose of being doubly sure that the person had really and completely died.

But what do we see in some public hospital mortuaries in Lagos?

When corpses are deposited, they promise the families that they will wait the customary 48 hours before doing anything to the body, just in case the person wakes up.

But as soon as the family leave, they immediately inject a lethal chemical into the veins of the body to guarantee sure death and begin embalment immediately.

All of this, so that they can be paid embalment and storage fees daily.

There have been reports of the bodies deposited actually regaining consciousness in the middle of the night, and these unscrupulous mortuary attendants overpowering the human being and killing them properly by suffocation or severe blows to the skull.

This 26 year old boy was one of such.

But he was lucky.

His parents and siblings deposited his body around 9pm and left.

Unbeknownst to the mortuary personnel, the family didn't leave the mortuary premises entirely but stood in the corridor sobbing uncontrollably in muffled tones.

The mortuary attendant was rearranging the body of the deceased young man when the man opened his eyes, sneezed and sat up looking confused.

The mortician immediately signalled for back up from 2 of his colleagues who were hefty and they tried to subdue the young man while formalin was injected into his neck.

The young man was a soprano singer and belted out a piercing guffaw on the F# register.

His family recognized his voice and ran back to the morgue storage room to find 4 hefty morticians trying to pin their loved one down and kill him properly.

They raised alarm and the rest is history.

Thankfully the young man was saved and I was called over.

If you stay around Mushin— Fadeyi axis and know Thompson crescent adjacent Mefugep Amadi fuelling station, Union Galaxy hospital mortuary is facing this fuelling station.

I am right there.

Come and see for yourself.

Things are happening in this Lagos o.

I will post the 26 year old survivor's photo tomorrow.

I don't doubt this story because I know that Nigerians are capable of doing anything for money.

This story reminds me of unscrupulous vulcanized who will use a nail to add extra punctures to your tube or tyre so they can charge you extra

It should even be a police case because it's attempted murder

This makes no sense.

Why will you be certified dead and they'll still need to wait 48 hours to see if you'll wake up? That's the height of unprofessionalism.

As much as I know Nigerian hospitals can be the worst, this really just sounds like someone trying to tarnish the image of the hospital for whatever reasons. If this story is real, we should be reading the release from the patient's lawyer and not one random unknown person.

You'll share the picture of the person tomorrow, you wey fit dey do free newscaster no fit do live video too? Really?

I remember a movie where Liam Neeson played a mortuary attendant who was doing the exact same thing....life imitating art ?

Yes this is Nigeria, where people devote their time and resources to destroying businesses because of one grievance or the other. So yes, I don't believe the story.

Between people going there and making a video of something you're absolutely sure of which as you say was happening in your presence, which one is more rational and easier?
