Leonyluiz:you will need to by O2 spacer, your issues stems from the catalyst inefficiency code, either you buy a replacement catalyst or get an O2 spacer to fool the ECU. |

nurey:Does this have any side effects? I've read on here about anything not actual catalyst causing a blockage and eventually damaging the engine. |

Leonyluiz:Spacer does not in anyway clog the flow of exhaust it is just like a threading for the bolting of Oxygen sensor. The spacer moves the O2 sensor away from the exhaust gas pathway just enough to fool the ECU that the catalyst is still very okay. Just Google O2 spacer you will learn something, infact you can even have a panel\welder do one for you not a must to buy the expensive OEM units for outdated cars. |

Leonyluiz:Black smoke means that your car is pouring too much fuel into your engine and the intake air is not commensurate. I'm not sure this has to do with "no catalyst" as catalyst is primarily for emission control (I stand to be corrected). If I were you, I will start from checking my fuel pressure and then proceed to check if the injectors are leaking. You can also check MAF sensor (if your car has one). Also, do a live data stream with your OBDII scanner. Check your O2 sensor readings and your fuel trims. That should be a guide also. |

My Corolla 2004 make this krarara sound when I'm about to throttle hard, but stops once the car gathers momentum or I remove leg from throttle at the instance of the sound. Again, trying to climb steep hill, the car vibrates, but after climbing it picks momentum without any issues. What the likely cause of this? |

madapcmod:From your description, your Toyota Corolla 2004 showing a “krarara” sound when throttling hard and vibration on steep hills is likely caused by one or a combination of the following: 1. Worn or loose engine mounts: This can cause vibration under load, especially when climbing or accelerating hard. 2. Transmission or clutch issues: If the clutch is slipping or the transmission is struggling, it can make noise and cause vibration until the car gains momentum. 3. Exhaust system components: Loose heat shields or worn exhaust mounts can produce a rattling or “krarara” sound under acceleration. 4. Suspension or drive shaft issues: Worn CV joints, bushings, or shock absorbers can also cause vibration during load or steep climbs. Recommended Action: • Inspect engine mounts and transmission for wear. • Check clutch operation if manual, or torque converter if automatic. • Examine exhaust system for loose parts. • Inspect suspension and drive shafts for worn components. For a precise diagnosis and fix, we recommend bringing your vehicle in for a full inspection. You can book an appointment or contact us on +234 911 306 9560 (call or WhatsApp), and our team will be happy to help get your Corolla running smoothly again. |

Starboytwo:Leak from the moonroof or sunroof area is usually caused by a blocked or clogged drain. When you open your moonroof, you will see a small hole on both sides at the front. That is where water passes through to the floor. If it is blocked, the water will enter inside through any available opening. So just clear it. Watch the video below for a demonstration. I used a broomstick to do mine, then poured water after that and it flowed easily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmk9Ln-9x2k?si=LbnHRJR0oEeIP_h4 |

kingreign:I think you did not get the complains correctly. The car does not have that high initial rev at cold start up any more. There is something wrong somewhere since it is not how the car was operating formally. |
