Don't mind Apari. Thought he could satanic ball his way to 3 points on a holy day for that matter. Hmm is it too early to put Gyokeres on fraud watch? Happy with the draw against a determined and professional City side. TheSuperNerd: |

chrisooblog:I'm not happy with the draw neither was I happy with the loss against Liverpool. You suffered to build a good squad and now you're holding them back. Arteta is too scared. He lacks cojones. As for Gyokeres, his 3 goals is still giving him some sort of grace. But then, there's nothing you can do when you have 3 DMs playing behind you. He just needs to exert himself more. |

Samueltemi337:[Kaya Temel] Osimhen trained with the reserve team in the last session before the Konya match. However, the player’s complaints continue. It will be difficult for him to be on the field in the Konya match. The final decision rests with the technical staff. |

Daniel Daga came off the bench to play 10mins + 7 mins added time in Molde's 1-0 loss away at Viking. He will join the Flying Eagles late. Just hope he wont be involved in their Wednesday Cup tie. Meanwhile, Molde's next league game is 28th Sept while Nigeria's first game at the U20 WC is on Sept 29th so Daga wont feature for Molde on the 28th as he will be in camp before then. |

BascoVanVeli:Observations 1. Good match but we should be doing better, all African team are already catching up with us but we are still sleeping. 2. Coaching without direction is still an issue. 3. FECAFA brought the game live to us, NFF and her tv should know and do this basic things. |

COOL10:Typical Naija reaction These guys are not loyal. Why be say dem go come national team begin play rubbish but return to their clubs begin bang goals? The Reality: This is like putting a straw in an anthill and sucking it thinking water will come through. Our set up is terrible for attacking flair. We don't even prioritize player's strengths. We only sabi invite. A case study is Onyedika that was on the bench and Ndidi played all through. Man know man approach is not factored in. Iwobi is our best attacking midfield outlet. But since Rohr, he's been struggling but he still ensures nobody contributes to attack than him till date. Despite that struggling tag on him. Since he arrived Fulham, they've never ever deployed him the way he plays at Fulham. one would think his performance vs Man U would help but they still play him deep and expect him to shine like his uncle JJ. Dessers was thrown under the bus by the Media officer of NFF just out of spite and lack of understanding of the setup of this team. Most of them only sabi 442 of old. Nothing more. Ask them to explain Gengenpressing or Joga Bonita now and they'll stammer. I doubt they watch Dessers at his club for understanding how he plays. This is one player that banging goals is no problem for him. But it changes every time it is GWG. I know not everyone will fit in and all that but until they begin to prioritize player's strengths over myopic nostalgia, we'll continue to struggle. Merino struggles for Arsenal but shines for spain. Two different approach. System player if you like. He shines for arsenal when deployed how he's deployed in Spain. Westerhof understood all of this. |

Odunayaw: Thank you for the shout-out and I think it deserves a response. Yesterday was one of my saddest day as a football fan because what I watched is play yesterday goes against my philosophy and belief of the game. We are suffering because of the lean squad we have but I don't think that should stop us from playing. Pep Guardiola should open up the academy and let the players there beef the squad. I support Barcelona a lot because of the belief that they will never resort to negative football. Guardiola stems from it. So seeing that, no matter the excuse does not go well with me. I hope it never repeats itself. I prefer to lose playing football the right way than win playing football the wrong way. This is due to the belief that in the long run, fortune favors the brave. cc: TheSuperNerd |

Anyway i wonder how a midfield of Daniel Daga and Frank Onyeka will be with an attacking midfielder in front of them (iwobi, akinsanmiro). It will be like the great wall of China. Two workaholics nothing can go through and will be able to shut down anything and arrest any opposing midfield. The AM in front of them can then be free to attend to attacking duties. Daniel Daga can also contribute in attack sometimes. |
