Please can anyone give me suggestions how I can obtain my WAEC certificate? I have long left the state where I sat for WAEC. I have gone online to get the digital certificate but the system is frustrating, and I need the certificate urgently. I sat for WAEC in 2002. Thank you.

I think the school you graduated from will have your certificate but if you sat for GCE, then you will have to go to WAEC office to get it. I think you will pay like 1k(in my experience 15 years ago) to get your certificate.

If it is may/June go to ya school were u sit the exam, nov/dec go to waec office in the state you wrote the exam.

How can i get my NECO certificate as well? I think i sat gor around june/july slot

You certificate has been sent to that school you sat for.

Go to waec office ...but if u school is a model school...ur waec certificate should be waiting for u there

If the certificate is important to you, you will go back to your school to collect it.

I got mine from the school I graduated after 10 years way back

As you are all saying he should go back to the school he sat for the exam since 2002. What if the school is now defunct or dey don turn the building to church, hotel or football viewing Centre. How will he collect it and NECO especially if he can’t remember his exam number

It is simple and a one day activity. Go back to the state you wrote the exams,go to the WAEC office and write an application requesting for the certificate, state your year of exam and your exam center number and exam number too.You will some amount for the processing.

Sorry, you will pay some amount of money for the processing, na one day work.

You need to visit your school. Or send your registration details to someone close to you to go to the WAEC office and get it for you.

Go to your school and get it. It normally comes out four years after graduation. I dunno if the system has changed now sha

Go to waec office at ogba or the one at yaba if you are in lagos ...there are procedures and fee to pay for getting your certificate . Since you have not collected the original...it means waec has delivered it to your school or is still in there office. Visit your school to confirm us not there then proceed to waec office to collect it .

Get in touch with the school u wrote your exam, within 24hrs u will have it , if not weekend

You don't need to go to your School if you wrote the exam not later than 1999. From 1999 till date get your certificate through their portal (portal.waec.org/access/certificate) You will be paying nonrenewable fee of N7,500

I just got mine last week after graduating, over 15 years ago, was in the same situation with you, i left the state i wrote a long time ago, but then i was scrolling through FB and saw a post from someone i used to know a long time ago about getting WAEC certs, i said let me try to see if he can get something i have not set my eyes on in over a decade. I couldn't remember anything about my Exam number, sit or whatever, I just remember the school, my name, and the year I wrote it, and to my shock, after providing those details and my NIN, the guy retrieved my certificate. Tho i spent 20k cos I could not remember anything about the exam.

If you wrote the exams in a school then go to the school to collect it but if you wrote the exams as a private candidate then go to the WAEC state office, sorry for not including this in my earlier post.
