some deny their igbo because it started during the Civil War when you have to deny your igbo to obtain favor grom the Nigerian side , but their names and dialed remain igbo dialect which can't be changed,,.
incase you want to ask if ika, language etc , ikwere is different from igbo, it's the same language dialect of igbo language just like ijebu language is a dialect of yoruba
