Listening to Arokodare speak and he does with an American twang and it's got me wondering how that's possible with his sojourn from Latvia to Belgium and now England. |

Sugarboyy:Imagine this: you’re the employee. Your employer reduces your salary, but also sets a target for you to deliver big results. You go above and beyond, exceed the target, and secure an even bigger achievement for the company, yet when it comes time for your reward, your boss insists on paying you the same reduced salary, while still owing you months of back pay. That was exactly what Peseiro went through with the NFF. He agreed to a pay cut, took Nigeria to the AFCON final, but when time came for contract renewals, they decided not to increase his salary. If na you, shey you go take am? I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason Peseiro allegedly requested 100k was because of the salary arrears that the NFF owed him and probably still do till this day. |

I have noticed their academy almost always have lads in our national teams (cadet and youth) since 2023 or so but I have no idea for now who the actual owner is. I will make findings. jihday: |

Stanley Nwabali starred for his side, Chippa Utd as he helped them secure a point away from home by making a late min penalty save. He was beaten already on 79mins from the spot but with scores at 1-1, the SA PSL leaders Sekhukhune Utd got another penalty on 90+1 min and sought to win it BUT THEN NWABALI MADE HIMSELF BIG AND STOPPED THE PENALTY. That is the 2nd penalty he has stopped this season in the PSL out of 3 penalties faced. CLUTCH GK.

COOL10:Whatever the cases are, I feel the NFF sees $100,000 monthly salary to be too big not simply because of Peseiro but because they don't have the money. It's better to agree on what they can afford to pay. Don't forget this same Peseiro wasn't exceptional, he only got it right at the NC. He was and his team was abysmal prior and after the NC. He left feeling like Pep because he took the SE to the NC final, he went to Zamalek and where is he now? Jobless because he was immediately sacked by Zamelek. |

Sugarboyy:And we too where are we now? No coach will never be exceptional in our eyes, even Chelle sef are we not complaining already? We are just too predictable as a nation castigating every coach that comes our way, westerhof and bonfere Jo after leaving Nigeria what were their achievements? Does that invalidate their achievements and successes with the Eagles? make una fear God, this arrogance is killing our football and yet we want to succeed |

Goke7:as in eehnnn, the arrogance is really killing our football…Chelle ever lose any match….the only disappointing match Chelle had was against Zimbabwe at home and maybe the south african match….the rest games he has overseen the super eagles are very much commendable…..but some ppl have started singing the “get another coach” song |

Siasia told Emmanuel Babayaro on UTVAfrica that it was normal for him not to pass the ball to Yekini, insisting that the striker failed to utilise earlier chances he had created. The striker spoke about his on-pitch relationship with the late Rashidi Yekini, Nigeria’s all-time top scorer |

It was during a 1994 World Cup qualifier with Nigeria playing against Ivory Coast at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan. Siasia preferred to shoot instead of passing to the better-positioned Yekini. |

A lot of people talked about why I didn’t pass the ball to Rashidi Yekini. The one I passed to him he couldn’t even score too, so things happen, we don’t take it personal.” “I am a striker. Rashidi Yekini won’t give me that ball if it was him, that’s the truth,” he said. “Sometimes you miss, sometimes you score. Rashidi has been one of the greatest strikers ever I have played with. May his soul rest in peace. “My downtimes? First was when I didn’t pass the ball to Rashidi Yekini and they had to kick me out of the team and I had to hustle myself back into the team. Trying times are always there to make you stronger. |

Sugarboyy:Bro, you’re missing the point. Forget what he did elsewhere and focus on the contract the NFF gave him. Did they set a semi-final target? Yes. Did he surpass it by getting us to the final? Yes. Now tell me, how do you cut a man’s salary from $70k to $50k, still owe him months of that reduced pay, and then expect him to happily renew? That’s wickedness from the NFF. I don’t blame Peseiro for requesting $100k. When you’re dealing with employers who have that unrepentant spirit of 'owing salaries' coded into their DNA, if you ever have a chance to renegotiate contractual terms, you need to shoot for the stars and pray to land on the moon. That's exactly what Peseiro did. |

Odunayaw:Every reputable outlet I've seen reported that he was offered the same $50k. But let's even assume for argument's sake that he was offered $70k. Didn't the NFF cut his salary from $70k to $50k in the first place? Yes. Didn't they still owe him months of that reduced pay? Yes. Didn't he then surpass the semi-final target by getting to the AFCON final? Yes. So why would any coach in his right mind accept going back to $70k under the same people who have a history of slashing and owing salaries? Think about it. At the end of the day, the NFF's problem isn't just about the figure they put on paper. It’s their ingrained culture of slashing, owing and mismanagement. A culture of outright reprehensible behavior. |
