MrRichmond:
Japanese people are conservative and nationalists, they don't want to be invaded by Africans.

I don't blame them.

Maybe if Nigeria would've avoided this embarrassment if they adopted their mentality, stayed back and focused on building their country and electing proper leaders to help instead of running all over the globe seeking for shelter.
What embarrassment?. Na Nigeria and African countries put gun to the head of Japanese Govt to create hometowns for Africans in their country?.. You guys go just come online dey talk anyhow.

Lol, but u guys were claiming it to be a strategic move by the 'master, strategist.
What's this one saying?, was it Tinubu that forced their Govt to come out with the announcement initially?.

Your headline is disingenuous, why make it look like it had anything to do with Nigeria?. It was an intiative for to designate some parts of their municipalities as home towns for some selected African countries. And if they cancelled the initiative, what's our business with that?. If Government of Japan did not consult the local people before announcing such an initiative and the local people protested against it, which prompted their Government to reverse it, then what's our own business?. Why make it as if it had anything to do with us?. Be taking it easy with this agenda.
Stop crying

It wasn't mostly Japanese people it was mostly western expatriates and white people in social media spaces that complained the most about it.

Japan is an extremely homogenous country with not much room for immigrants.

Unfortunately with an aging population, something has to give way.

White nationalists carry Japan matter for head pass Japanese people.

Na those incel, Anime oyibo freaks wey dey fetishize Japanese women carry this matter for Twitter for head.

Japan don bow to pressure
This man knows what he is talking about about.
I vividly remember when an Assassins Creed videogame was announced and set to be in feudal Japan with an African samurai character called Yasuke and how white folks outside Japan were trying to prove that the character never existed (he did) and how they tried to get Japanese people to join them in their sentiment which failed because Japanese scholars proved Yasuke existed

Thank you my brother. I remember that incident as well and it took me down a rabbit hole on the psyche of the average Incel white nationalists and their obsession and fetishization of what they perceive to be "Japanese culture" (particularly Japanese women, Anime and ermmm..hentai, all of which borders on the very disturbing nature of white nationalists and their "lolita" fetish with cartoon depiction of women that are either barely legal or just underage). Those types are the ones that screamed at the top of their lungs regarding Yasuke the black samurai in Japanese culture and they were the ones who also had a meltdown because of this now defunct idea that the Japanese government came up with.

Nigeria's Youths hailed Tinubu for securing a Special Visa privilege for Nigerians to work in Japan.
When the presidency through Bayo Onanuga releases such lies to the Youths it is shameful

@Emboldened

We really do not want to go into that discuss on this platform even Japanese adult men are not exempt from that issue.
Let's also not forget that fetishization is not a compliment. It is simply just another form of dehumanization

Since BAT my boi took over the driving seat in Nigeria, many countries have restricted Nigerians from their countries. But why na? Is this a curse or what?

Nigeria govt didn't help much by peddling false news.

The Japanese have a high sense of morality and honour and this Government has disgraced us terribly with the lies.
The lies is not the issue, the issue is between the initiative directors and the local people.

Oh, that's a topic for another day. There is a direct pipeline between obscure anime (and in some cases even the mainstream anime) and p3d0philia , I am overly cautious about what I allow young people around me watch.

Japanese, Chinese and South koreans and even North koreans are very very insular and racist in ways that make white racists look like nice people.

Even as a white person living in any of those countries, especially Japan, you can be discriminated against well well.

Them countries don't want mass immigration. Even of people from other Asian countries self. And Japan and south korea need the immigrants because their populations are aging fast, and not enough kids are being born to replace the dying.

In simple words, the Japanese do not want Nigerians to come to their country. No white-washing needed.
Actually, Japan, as opposed to the Japanese people who know no better, do need immigrants from wherever to come to their country.
