Court Rejects Nnamdi Kanu’s No-Case Submission, Orders Him To Open Defence by InfoGuru118(op): 1:05pm On Sep 26, 2025

The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the no-case submission filed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, News360 Nigeria reports.

Justice James Omotosho, delivering the ruling on Friday, held that the federal government had established a prima facie case against Kanu, thereby requiring him to open his defence in the terrorism charges brought against him.

The court further stated that it was in Kanu’s best interest to be given the chance to respond to the issues raised against him.

I pray this case will end in our lifetime.
Using legal ways and going back and forth will never resolve this case.
Have said it that only a political resolution can resolve this case
If we still decide to continue towing the legal path, even the very end will surely not be favorable.

Why's he running away from opening his defense, I thought he was shouting that the Govt had no case against him. He is the one that had delayed his own case till now, making judges recuse themselves several times and using health excuses as delay tactics . No peace for the wicked.

Judges in Nnamdi Kanu's case are just figureheads. The political echelons determine his case. Until them let's get less of these distractions.

Of course the judges are being directed and instructed on what to do! When we say there's no justice in Nigeria and that the so called 'Judiciary' is firmly in the pockets of the Yoruba/Fulani hegemonic alliance, we're justified to hold such a position! Just look at Nigeria today and how it's failing in all indices of development and markers of civilisation! A lot of myopic, Igbo-hating bigoted schmucks are too fargone in their hate and dependence on 'one Nigeria' not to realise that as they're trying to hold Ndigbo/Biafra down that they're also down on the floor as well! Nigeria has been groping in the dark from 1st Oct', 1960, and from the looks of things things are only gonna get worse!

He won't be allowed to anyway. Whatever political purpose anyone had planned to use Kanu for is now dead and buried.

This is because the Ekpa sentencing in Finland has forced the hand of the FG that must now be seen to be serious prosecuting a robust case against Kanu, founder and mastermind of IPOB, since the lowly underling of Kanu, I.e Ekpa, was found guilty and jailed in Finland.

Best that will happen is Kanu, after what is looking like 100% assured guilty verdict, may be released in a few years time taking account of time served in custody.

It is kanu and his lawyers that are delaying this case! There is nothing wrong in pursuing this case to conclusion! In fact, concluding the case will show other terrorist that if caught, Nigeria will pursue he case against them to conclusion. And that is a message we need to pass to other would-be criminals.
