Question1:
Hello my people,

My girlfriend has just been refused UK Tourist Visitor Visa for 7 days holiday (see refusal letter attached). She's currently a student at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, and employed as a remote Digital Marketer with a company in the US. She has worked with this company since July 2023 and presently earn $1,782 every six weeks. The purpose of her trip is for a short holiday in London, to relax and experience the city’s cultural and historical attractions.

Kindly advise based on the refusal letter. In addition, what are her chances of approval if she re-applies and address the refusal reason.

Just to add, the missing salary mentioned in the refusal was, in fact paid the first week of the following month(April) and it appears the VO skipped that entry in her bank statement.
this applicant have a high chances of getting visa when she re apply

Check your travel dates on your visa application form.
Charmhk:
Please I got my visa and I submitted 12th September and got it 22nd September. But the visa start date is 18th October.. Is that a mistake? All my visa’s have always been on the issued date. I already booked a ticket for next week.. is there anything I can dohuh Please

I did my biometrics on the 8th of September I’m yet to get any email from ukvi or vfs I’m scared don’t know if any one is having the same problem.

It’s still far from the date I placed.. I don’t understand the reason behind the one month ahead

Thank you for your reply.
I have a job, working for my uncle and will 3months statement showing my salary be okay?
I don't have land for now
It should be okay.

But you have to be careful to avoid mistakes. Cos there will be more scrutiny for people like you. They look out for the slightest mistake to deny people Visa

Same issue and I have a good travel history with an expired UK visa. Stay optimistic and trust in God to perfect it all. I can relate with you on the heightened anxiety. Just leave it all to God at this point as you have nothing else you can do.

Hi,
Please I need help. My brother and his family are in UK and I just finish my NYSC but I want to be invited for some months, I need advice on documents I need to prepare and to convince them that I have home tie. I was told the older people have high chances than young girl like me.
Any advice is appreciated
Thank you
You can not be actively working and be away for some months as you state. This is a red flag and definitely you won’t get a visa with this information inputted on a UK visa form.
Pls try and read this thread. It would help you to ask specific questions so we knw where to help.

Thank you for your response. I worked for my uncle and he can give me time as my leave to go. I have been following the thread and I never see any situation like my own, that is why I posted to seek advice, I just need documentation to be in place for my visa to be approved.
Thanks once again

Your reason is not acceptable to a UK Eco. Kindly do not write this on your form.
Re documentation- read the thread, there are hundreds of documents shared from people’s experiences.

Had my biometrics two days ago, have received a total of 4 correspondences: two from VFS, 2 from UKVI.

It’s not priority, however there’s a fee of £150 for the VAC where I submitted my biometrics. It’s the only option in the city I live.

I appreciate any insight in this. Thank you

hemekhar:
Gurus in the house, please assist.
I have a remote job and i get paid directly to my dorm account, in light of the tax restructure, the advice is to register and use my company account as companies have a N50m non-taxable annual threshold, my question is, would this affect my application as my contract letter and payslips are in my name? i cant meet the company to draft a new contract in my company's name, would this be an issue? or would a cover letter be sufficient to explain it?

Thanks in advance

Please how does one contact UKVI of an application has taken more than 15 working days? This is the 16th working day and nothing
Weirdest thing, just got a mail about it just as I sent this message in grin
Fingers crossed it is positive. Do they usually send a mail first if it is negative . I just received one that said a decision has been received and passport will be sent if courier service had been booked

That’s great! I think they normally send a refusal mail first. So I believe it’s good news.
Now I know some of us that ours are taking longer that 7 days aren’t alone.
Are you self employed? Trying to understand your position

Hello gurus, I want to sponsor my full house wife visit visa to UK. I always give her Bonus from my business income not salary. She’s stay home mom. What her chances? Thanks.
It’s possible. I did something similar for a sister INLAW last month and was approved.
She needs to demonstrate home ties and included documents such as birth certificate of children, proof of her getting stipends from you(this has to be fixed payments) and proof of other home ties.

So sorry, I don't have access to the mail for this account. I am not an expert in this visa thing though. Lots of people on here with more experience ( cash madam, Giselle, etc) that can help you if you share what you need advice on, reading through the thread is also helpful

Have you had a second look at your form?
What I see in the letter is 300,000 per annum.
It is possible you may have missed out the additional zero.
- it’s always best to submit a status update instead of the actual CAC certificate. The status update shows company is active and all details of the company.
- for multiple funds that come into your personal account which has been termed as unknown sources, you could explain the funds.

It is surprising that you earn 300k salary from your job but somehow have a rental property generating 2 million naira monthly.
Not yearly but monthly.
That’s a significant difference.
Unfortunately, this raises some skepticism, especially with the ECO, unless you can provide thorough proof of your financial situation. At first glance, it appears to be an attempt to present an overly favorable financial picture for visa purposes.
Also you provided no proof of anything but had several large deposits going into your account….hmm
Additionally, I’m sure they’ll notice the lack of travel history, which also makes this story more unbelievable.
