legitnow1:Have those people make any attempts to claim Igbo land, have at they any point disrespectful of their hosts? That is most people don't even know that they are there but give an Igbo man an inch he will take a mile. So that is the problem have with Igbos, it is not hate or jealousy an average Igbo man always show himself. |

funshint:I have never seen anyone shouting that ibadan or ogun etc is a no man land I have never seen anyone saying ibadan or ogun was developed or been developed by anyone. U guys need to embrace the reality that lagos is a Nigeria project. Just like abuja is a Nigeria project currently. Nobody is fighting you. U are the ones fighting Nigerians and trying to rewrite history before our very own eyes |

OredoPikin:You just confirmed what the guy was talking about. Yes Lagos is a Nigerian project being the former capital but are there no indigenous Lagosians? You don't get to hear them claiming other places because seeing what they are trying to do in Lagos the people are now wise. |

[quote author=shortgun post=136930854]Exactly😂😂 I find it amusing when some people claim that no other tribes settle in the Southeast. Seriously, Social media has really exposed how ignorant some people can be. Take Enugu for example from Coal Camp to Ogui, Abakpa, Uwani, New Haven, Achara Layout and Emene, Yorubas are well established. Even at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, you’ll find plenty of Yoruba lecturers, traders and civil servants. I once visited Onitsha and was surprised at how many Yorubas I saw actively trading in spare parts, textiles and household goods. Many of my Yoruba brothers here on nairaland have not left the Southwest region for once in their lifetime. Those who did choose to act ignorant of the fact. I grew up at Nsukka where both parents were lecturers at that time and we have many other Yorubas both in the in University and in town engaging in different trades and businesses. Do not let the few paid agents on this forum with their dark agenda decieve you. |

omooba969:This is sincerely true. Check out the prisons in these countries. It wasn't like that in the past when it was Yorubas and Hausas that were early migrants there. |

YORUBAS AND IGBOS ARE ONE, MY BESTMAN DURING MY WEDDING WAS MY YORUBA FRIEND WHO WAS BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN ENUGU. HE LATER MARRIED A BEAUTIFUL IGBO GIRL FROM UDI, THIS IS GOOD. |

OredoPikin:You're very WRONG sir. We're still dealing with you guys referring to Lagos as a no man's land, here you are already referring to Abuja as a Nigerian project...hahaha ![]() What do you mean by Nigerian project? ![]() You guys are so full of yourselves walahi. |

Yes no doubt about it sir but can you come out boldly and tell my people Enugu is no man's land? Can you come out boldly and insult obi of Onitsha or any monarch in that side? Do you insult the igbos and called them names in their land? Do uou ever claimed to be oba of Enugu as one he-goat claimed obi of Lagos and was arrested not long ago? Do you disrespect the igbos in their own land? Do you involve in land grabbing? Do you go to tiktok and say Yoruba must take over igboland? Do you act arrogantly and abusing every igbo in their own land? Do you dare hoist opc or oduduwa flag in Enugu entrance as my ipob did in Lagos toll gates after 2023 election? The list is too long. If you respect, mind your own business, not arrogant, not land grabber, not abuser etc in igboland you must definitely be at peace unlike how my people conducting themselves in SW believing they can insult any body, disrespect any body. Sir, you need to return to your region and see how my own people behaves you will be piss off completely the way I'm. Cry cry baby weigh my statement and judge it consciously then you wiill know I'm 100% correct. End of story. Thanks sir. |

Social Media and Naira land in particular are majorly contributing to the highest rate in tribalism. |

OredoPikin:I don't go back and forth with gibberish! Regardless this is about Igbos not Edo. If however you call it disrespect by trying to take another person land it shows how disconnected you are with life. Possibly you have never even stepped out of Edo State! |
| Re: Igboland Is Good, That’s Why I Brought My Relatives,” Says Yoruba Oba In Enugu by OredoPikin: 12:57pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
goslowgoslow:This is not about igbos, it is about stating the obvious. I have never seen anyone shouting Ondo is a no man land. U dont want to accept reality that Lagos is not a particular tribe project. Yes it is situated in the region allocated to you, but its development is a collective effort of Nigeria resources. Since u decided to bring Edo matter into it, maybe i will need to remind u that oba of Lagos is a prince from Benin palace and it will continue to be so. Lets not go down history pls |

funshint:No, that's not the main point. The main point is that, you guys always say that Yorubas can never install an Oba in someone's land. That Igbos installing Eze Ndi Igbo outside south East means they are trying to dominate the indigenous people. I can still remember vividly what you people wrote all over this forum when the issue of Eze Ndi Igbo in Ghana happened. So,most of us don't still believe that you people can have "Oba of Enugu" or Oba of any place outside Yoruba land. So that is the main point and not what you said it's the main point. |

Healthy Competition brings enormous progress and development to the society. But the yorubas can't compete with the igbos that why they chose to hate people that have done them no wrong. |

omooba969:So 2morow now a tribe will come up and start claiming the development of Abuja when 100% of what is there is our south south oil money. U guys really want war in this country. Like i always say. Lagos and Abuja will be a country of their own or Nigeria will never divide cos we will never allow u all to use our oil money after polluting our own land to develop another place and u will now come and say we should go our own. The only way division will work in this country, East will go with their 5 states, west will go with their 5 states, Lagos will be a standalone country |

There are Eze Ndigbo in every Yoruba city and they are still there. There are however no Obi or Eze of any Yoruba city just like there is no Oba of Enugu but Oba Yoruba of Enugu. I think the man was arrested for calling himself Obi of Lagos. You can't go to England and call yourself King of England but you can be Oba Yoruba of England. Not everything is allowed. You can't even be allowed to name your own child just any name you want in most countries |

goslowgoslow:If this post upsets you, it likely says more about you than about the message. The whole point of my post is simple: we shouldn’t give room or attention to tribal bigotry. There’s no reason to be offended by that. Unless there’s something you’re not saying out loud. |

OredoPikin:There are traditional kings in Lagos who own the land. Who are you to tell them what to do with their land? And what makes you think Yoruba will fragment themselves into many tiny nations when some nations are over one billion in population? Then when Nigeria breaks up Gwari and others own their land in Abuja. They will do with it whatever they want. They have Kings and leaders |
