Dear omoluabis, there was a time when it used to be yorubas winning stuff like this and making yorubas proud, but now the reverse is the case. That's because we started getting free handouts because of proximity to govt & started glorifying money instead of intellect. That's why since soyinka we have not produced any literary Icon but igbos have from generation to generation. Congratulations to Akachukwu Nwachukwu, & Ifunanya Okoye. Igbo amaka |

Lanretoye:They are Igbos from Rivers state, so they are lesser Igbos? If the same Rivers person with Igbo name commits crime, you people will not hestitate to tag them Igbo just the way ur people tagged Anioma son who led the coup an Igbo coup but today, will say Anioma is not Igbo. Na only animals fit this country. Wacky people who cant differentiate Ethnic, tribe and state creations/ |

We will keep going backwards if we continue allowing the north rule. I mean, can anything good come from people who breed terror? |

Princedapace:They are not even igbos from river state. Thats not how they spell their names, the rivers Igbos....confirm anywhere. These ones are brought up and schooling in Portharcourt most likely bereton school or one of those. |

nairalanda1:U get it partially wrong Nigeria doesn't really have a that much of a leadership problem, rather a followership(people's or citizen's) problem. In the 2023 election, we had 17 candidates but let me narrow it to the 4 major candidates. These 4 candidates have a policy document/manifesto they came up with. And to God who made me, Obi had the best clear path to make Nigeria great again and it came with timelines. That aside, Tinubu is President now, how many Nigerians can boast that they know what is in Tinubu manifesto? How can we hold him accountable if we dont even bother ourselves to know if this man is actually doing what he said he will do? Then we have people defending him daily on a tribal/party affiliation without actually making reference to his manifesto. Tinubu govt has made me to fully realized that Nigerians doesn't dislike bad leaders, rather they just hate the fact they are not eating/affiliated directly in one way or the other to that leader. there is no power, but what the people allows you to take And until we realise this, the so called leaders will continue to take advantage of the porous system. |

Kemetian:lol Even during regionalism when they were left to rule themselves, they were backward and everyone of them was fleeing to Ibadan which was the most developed, richest and most progressive place then. Ibadan is still infrastructurally more developed than the entire SE. |

Lanretoye:Why were you triggered by his post? Is it because he said a Igbo should be president of Nigeria or is it because he said there are Igbo in Rivers state? I'm asking as a Igbo from Rivers state myself! |

OredoPikin:No mind them. We still know they are not from Portharcourt, they were born and school there. Rivers Igbos(ikwerre) will write "wachukwu", not nwachukwu, which is from imo state. wike as against nwike Even okoye is anambra ![]() We know all these things ![]() |

Cherrybae:The usual suspects are surfacing! I know you're not Ikwerre, and it says a lot that you spend virtually all your time on nairaland trying to pretend to be who you're not and trying to give the impression that Alaigbo does not extend outside the south-east! Given your antics against Ndigbo on this forum, you can only be from one particular ethnic group! |

IGBOSON1:All the Igbo senators and representatives since 1999 are obviously not discerning, just like all the Igbo politicians who have tried and failed to be president of One Nigeria, like Alex Ekwueme and Peter Obi ![]() |
