If only our lazy boys had gotten victories in Uyo against the Zimbabwean national team and the South Africans in the last match. Self-destructive team |

One more miracle. South Africa loses one of their remaining 2 games while we win both of ours with wide margins and we are good. |

If super eagles are serious…they would qualify…if Rwanda beats benin at home they will be on 14pts, if we beat lesotho we will be on 14pts…if SA beats Zim they will move to 17pts SA 17 Nig 14 Rwa 14 Ben 14 Rwanda will play to win in SA, cos a win for them will take them to 17pts aswell in the last match |

Fifa took a long time but there was no escaping. The law is the law especially on fielding an ineligible player so this decision was inevitable. Now the group is blown wide open. Rwanda, just like Nigeria, Benin and SA now believe they can make the WC. That is good because it means Rwanda vs SA will be Absolute War. Prayers for Ntwari begins! He will and MUST turn into Prime Buffon and 2022 Emi Martinez that day. The most interesting October awaits. #HopeStillDey |

You should rather hope that Zimbabwe frustrates SA into a Draw game. I hope the Zimbabweans can play for huge pride that day. Can't pin all hopes on Rwanda beating SA in SA. Rwanda can draw but taking all 3 pts is next level efforts. minfelix: |

FIFA should not stop there, They should pls investigate the southies for match fixings, How can one country Alone be playing almost 7games at home that an undue Advantage, Even Europe with all their tech and what's not, will never attempt such, We should push for it, let FIFA investigate |

This group is open now. Who's South Africa playing next, if they are playing Rwanda, it will not be just stroll for them, because Rwanda has 11 points, they are still positive they can qualify for the world cup. Honestly, is a shame the remaining matches for South Africa will be play in South Africa. That's where they will get the advantage over other teams in the group. |

South Africa doesn't even need to lose both games at this point If Rwanda and Zimbabwe can implement boko haram tactics and hold SA to a draw, and Super Eagles beat both Benin and Lesotho, then it's a wrap. The tables would have turned completely. So right now, we just have to hope and pray that somehow, South Africa doesn't win ANY of their next two matches. That being said, I'm confident in Rwanda but I have little to no faith in Zimbabwe. Hopefully they prove me wrong. |

When you forfeit a game you loose whatever goals you scored , you loose the point and also have minus 3 goals. |

Meanwhile as we should be aiming for first place by some luck, let’s still be aiming for playoffs at worst by the Eritrea issue. Instead of NFF to be playing politics, they are fixing friendlies and probably programming wrong energy for the players. Such a mediocre group. Who knows if the person here that highlighted the South Africa issue here didn’t, it probably will fly under the radar, poor administration this NFF. The same person has raised the Eritrea issue, yet they are fixing nonsense friendly with Venezuela so dem go get reason to chop money. |

Elock1:We dont even need to win by wide margins. Once we win the next game and Southafrica lose we are on top of them |

Elock1:Much greater than before. With the way this campaign has gone, to be only 3 pts behind the leaders is a miracle. |

Daga will shine at this U20 World Cup. He is more mature, more tactically sound and aware and he hit belters now. At 18, he is already a midfield general. I expect him to break into the Super Eagles fold as from next year. But it could come earlier. As for Akinsanmiro, he should be Afcon-bound. For Goodness sake, the kid is already a starter material. Eric Chelle should not overthink it. Current Midfield has names like: Iwobi - not needed in MF. Needed on the wings. Ndidi - Past his best Onyeka - Limited technically FDB - Decent but can hardly define his own natural role Alhassan - Solid player but we have enough CDMs C. Uche - a solid addition but we are yet to play him in his strongest role as he showed at Getafe. Onyedika - The best CDM profile in the team but hardly utilised. Akinsanmiro solves a ball carrying/ball retention problem in the middle and offers more too on the ball and off it. He is a mezzala MF profile. And if Inter dont want to lose a pearl, he should be taken seriously as Barella's replacement or another team would see it and pick him up. He should be on the plane to Morocco. If we are absolutely serious... our Afcon midfield will not have Iwobi in that list. Iwobi should be listed among the forwards. chrisooblog: |

Kudos to Coachee Elyte for his ruggedness and doggedness on the 3 points deduction advocacy. Folks like him are the type we need on the NFF board, and great kudos to that moniker on this thread. I can remember that it was the first to raise the alarm on the issue. |

Clowns like this were 100% sure that FIFA won't drop the hammer. Bunch of clowns. Even if we still don't qualify. I hope Benin qualifies instead because these SA guys are too damn insufferable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X4s78lkw8U&pp=ygUYU291dGggQWZyaWNhIHBvaW50cyBtaWtl |

Elock1:Even with this table the situation is very grim. It is still out of our hands. That our draw to Zim is even more painful now. Instead of having 13pts and being 1pt back, we have 3pts to make up. 3 draws to Zim and Lesotho is just not good enough. |
