the coaching education in Nigeria is really bad, imagine my shock to find out that one of our brightest coaches, Ogunmodede of Remo doesn’t have the required qualifications to coach in the CAF champions league
What are the requirements because he has a UEFA B license o

Those two handballs are they not penalties?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by QueenJazz(f): 11:05pm On Sep 29, 2025
Norway just came to park like 15 molue buses in front of their post.

And the referee though, lol.

The kind of goals we concede in these international games is frustrating though. Easily avoidable mistakes.

I must confess that it’s been long a Nigerian youth team impressed me like this current u20 team

They were just unlucky against Norway

No one has explained why Divine Oliseh was dropped.

that guy has absolutely nothing to offer. I don't like his game. Plays like he has achieved anything

That was a penalty. VAR decision just shocked me. If they gave Bameyi's then that one should have been given. But then cant blame our loss on one VAR decision.

Me I like this team o, they really turned up second half.

The ref was doing rubbish, Norway couldn’t even play just pack bus. The boys were unlucky, the bad thing is, this three point could dampen morale and they might not recover.

The ref blew nonsense, Norway deserved to even loose points for just coming to pack bus.

Poor form despite his obvious talent. Painful but we move.

I understand why you ask. This team lacks creativity thru the middle.

Kwara Utd. So you could score 3 goals in Ghana but could not score 1 in Kwara... Na wa ooo.
Una well done. Kotoko coach don finish Kwara coach now.
But truly the way Kwara United coach spoke about kotoko after losing the first leg was unprofessional, but funny 🤣😅

As bad as this result is, this 2025 set will see 1 or 2 of these lads become Super Eagles down the road. Note the fact that we were unlucky. Hitting the post 3 times in one game is one hell of a bad day.

Up next is Saudi Arabia U20s on October 2, Thursday.

The scenes in this thread if Saudi Arabia mistakenly flog the Flying Eagles 4-0 in the next game. 😂😂

Coach Aliyu Zubair after the game:

“The boys gave their all, just unlucky at key moments. Possession doesn’t win games; if one of those chances had gone in, it would’ve been different. Now we move — focus on Saudi Arabia, and we go for the 3 points.”

🤦🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️

Nigerian coaches 101. I heard some of these lines in 2002. Dem still dey use am in 2025.

Damn, I thought we turned a page with our age grade teams. Oh well...
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Predator87: 2:03am On Sep 30, 2025
I think we can win our remaining 2 games or at least get 4 points. Saudi and Colombia aren't all that. Kparobo Ariheri needs to STEP UP or he is going to get cussed out by fans the same way Odion Ighalo got cussed out back in 2009 U20 edition. You can't be playing age grade football for Nigeria and be missing easy layups in front of goal. I wish we took that Johnny Spiff kid from River Plate.

That penalty goal really set us up for a hard match against this Norwegian wall especially knowing that we dont have the quality in the middle to break them down heads on. Na manage we dey manage Ayuma and co in the middle. Daga not at his best today too. Arriving late doing him no good.

Aliyu really shot himself in the foot today shaa. We look so disjointed. Sani did not start. Brought him in only after we reàlised the error. We were a little better at the U20 Afcon. This first game is an eye sore. Would need a big turnaround in the second game to right the wrong.

VAR decision too not going our way. Omo. Just a really bad day.
exactly, the early penalty meant they can afford to defend for the rest of the game which they did quite well especially the second half plus we were a bit unlucky. I don’t really think we were as bad as some people think, we deserved at least 1 point from that game

I don’t know o, I have been seeing one Portuguese guy during the press conferences and upon my inquiry I was told he’s the one fronting as Remo coach as Ogunmodede doesn’t have the necessary qualifications

the second one abi? I think it’s because it ricocheted off a player before it hit his arm

Due to one reason or the other i dont think we selected our best players. What of ideoluwa oluwaporoku or cletus somethins (i have forogotten his full name) what of the boy in real valladolid. another boy on troyes who is a winger. Some level of brinery was used to select around 30% of the players. its showing

This is the Daga some of us were asking to be given a chance to play with the Super Eagles?
This Daga and Bameyi, were they 13 years old when they started playing youth football for Nigeria? How come they are always in the team? Don't they grow beyond youth football?
