This Daga and Bameyi, were they 13 years old when they started playing youth football for Nigeria? How come they are always in the team? Don't they grow beyond youth football?
Daga na king of side ways and backward passes

Have never rated him for once though

Teams like Morocco invited their best,we praised. Nigeria invited unknown gun men and we also praised them too. Some people are afraid to criticize our highly mismanaged national teams. 20 shots ,2 on target 🎯 Chai!

They were just unlucky against Norway
I just hope they shake things up.... my friend is the coach and also my brother is the assistant coach.

Seriously if you have any input just put it here I will forward it ASAP as tactical advice.

But truly the way Kwara United coach spoke about kotoko after losing the first leg was unprofessional, but funny 🤣😅
I didn't expect that from someone like Tunde Sanni,a product of world university games, educated and successful NPFL player...

One more miracle.

South Africa loses one of their remaining 2 games while we win both of ours with wide margins and we are good.
Exactly. The question is can we count on our lazy boys to do the job?

Under Chelle, we're yet to win a match with a convincing result.

Rohr will forever be the man that handed SA their first competitive victory over us and it came on our own turf in Uyo.

This same man picked a rubbish midfield combo consistently and lost to minnows like CAR in Abuja and struggled to a home draw vs Cape Verde in Lagos (I saw that game live).

So rest. He has not qualified anyone yet. Let him beat us then we can talk. I am sure you will be supporting Benin against us that day.

Rohr pikin.

Saudi will deploy the same tactics which Norway used. Hoping to hit on the counter because of the high line which he operates. So he d better start drilling the boys on how to break their wall and same time curtail school boy errors at the back. I wasn't happy that the boys will first allow Norway to fall back to a compact shape before they progress ball into their half.

I think you are right. I've been hearing of Daga and Bameyi since for ever and every iteration of youth tournament, they feature in the team.

Then what a privilege this is. I want this U20s to do well at this WC but then I dont know how seriously they will take any suggestions here.

Achichi should not be starting over Sani Suleiman on the left. Maigana can keep his place on the right but with instructions to bring his 2nd half form early in the first half of the next game vs KSA.

Daniel Daga should push forward as he does at Molde and break the lines of the opposition with his dogged running & shoot when he is near or around the box. Let him leave the ball distribution to Ayuma. Once he collects from the defence, find Ayuma with a pass and push forward to find space between the lines.

This is also to provide more support for Kparobo up top. The wingers (Sani, Maigana), the AM Salihu and then Daga pushing up should provide passing lanes we can connect and exploit to create shooting or goal chances.

Furthermore, tell them to stop building through the feet of Daniel Bameyi. He is not technically astute to connect passes with his long balls. They are wasted most of the time. If Daniel Bameyi must pass, let him keep it low and find Ayuma or Akinyele to build from the rear.

I would also suggest Aliyu to drop Bameyi but I know that wont happen. Alatan Azuka is on that bench and a better CB than Bameyi and left footed. It is still painful how injury knocked out Freedom Marvellous.

Finally, back to the attack, tell the fullbacks (Okoro, Ochoche) to alternate between crosses and cutbacks. When they overlap, crosses should not be their only options. Cutbacks is another weapon but for it to work, Daga and Salihu have to be positionally aware to pounce when it comes.

I dont mention Kparobo and the wingers coz it is their job to invade the box and make it look like the fullback wants to cross, so the defensive line is pulled away with them creating the gap that daga, Salihu or even Ayuma can come into and tap in towards goal.

When the opponent defence is taller than attack line, high crosses must be avoided.

I think youth teams should be about the future sometimes not even the results.Yes Daga and Bameyi always making the team brings questions.

The law I have seen homegrown youth player who used his real age 14 and played in under 18 tournament and made the tournament XI,if such boy makes under 20 team at 16,meaning he can make 3 appearances for under 21 team.

Daga is 18 and only began his European Journey in January this year. He had to stay back in Nigeria playing even as a youngster in the NPFL till he hit 18. This is why he could play another U20 tournament. He is already balling at Molde of Norway and gradually making his impact felt.

He also joined this team very late. He looked heavy yesterday meaning he has not properly settled into the side. Possibly Jetlag too.

That said, he didnt play his best yesterday. I expected more and was disappointed with his game. He is far better than what he showed yesterday. Cut him some slack.

As for Bameyi.... I just dont see a bonafide Super Eagles prospect in that man. Akinyele, his partner at this U20 WC and even Chukwu, his CB partner at the U20 Afcon are far better CB prospects than Bameyi. Enough said.

The point is that those boys even if they are within the age limit, they ought to have grown beyond cadet football. So for them to keep featuring means that they are not developing. It also means that the coaches are not scouting new talents.

i hope our u20 case will not be like losing 1-0 with a bit impressive performance and losing scandalously in the second match to Saudi

Senegal 1-0
Sudan 4-0
🤣🤣

because that Saudi losing 1-0 to colombia is not a moi moi oo, except the both of them are “two New Caledonian 🇳🇨team” playing each other
