Osimehn haters will always go quiet whenever he is having a good time.

Just one slight mistake or off day, they will crawl out of their shells bearing their fangs

Mo Salah and Isak came on as substitute and were silenced...

But here you have our dear Monster Machine played half-fit probably with pain killers and injections, yet he was a terrorist to the heart of Liverpool defense.

Osimehn has done this severally over and over and over in the past...., from Belgium to France to Italy and now Turkey.

Give him his feathers, he has been consistent for the past 10 years since he debuted for the U-17s.

To think that he's the first Nigerian to hit 10 UCL goals speaks volumes of his greatness

I see him taking his tally to 30 before retirement

Mark this Post
He's freaking good!

Make haters dey hate 😂

Are they out of AFCON?

The monster machine is back and banging.

But are we really going to have him available for our games later this month?

ION, I can see that Nairaland is gradually getting a face-lift, with the separator on the nav tab above to the border round the buttons below, hopefully the UX don't get shîtty over time.

Yes. Only the 2 finalists at WafuB make it to the Afcon. Last time, they allowed 3 slots only from Wafu A and kept WafuB with 2 only. So the same will hold again for this edition

I listen to Linekar on his YT channel occasionally but Gary Linekar and co are agenda eediots. They just had to lie to justify decisions of EPL clubs backing off from chasing an Osimhen deal. Shameful Journalism.

Na wa oooo.

The rest of Africa really did us dirty with this kind of arrangement.

So we can only have just 2 of Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso at the Afcon. These 4 are the traditional powerhouse of African football at u17 level.

Even if they are hell bent on this satanic arrangement, wafu should be demanding for at least 4 slots based on history and performance.

Missing out for the second time in a row after the fifa tournament has been expanded to 48 teams is so painful.

It is well sha.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:37am On Oct 01, 2025
Well, now we have 2027, 2028 and 2029 u17 Afcon and WC editions to properly prep for.

2026 Wafu B for 2027 Afcon and 2027 WC

2027 Wafu B for 2028 Afcon and 2028 WC

2028 Wafu B for 2029 Afcon and 2029 WC

If we begin earlier than the usual, we can raise the U17 team that will feature in 2026 Wafu B and even the 2027 Wafu B. We can plan ahead... have them play each other even....have them gel together.

Once the 2026 WafuB set secure Afcon ticket for 2027, we also keep preparing the next Set for the Wafu B taking place same 2027 for the next Afcon.

This strategy is not hard. Just need to do it early and right.

This is the same Frankfurt that got booted out of the Europa league by the 17th placed team in the Prem last season. And that was with Ekitike.

Now they are arguably worse. Wahi is nowhere near Ekitike levels. And still obliterated Gala.

There are levels to this game.
this is a Liverpool team that won the league last season added almost 500mill worth of talent and currently top the table in England but still got beaten by Gala. There are levels to this game……abi how you want make we talk the agenda?

He's not good for the Premier League, yet from Galatasaray he terrorized both Tottenham and Liverpool!

2 goals against Tottenham, 1 against Liverpool.

He could have gotten 4 against Tottenham and 3 against Liverpool! 😭

That chance still dey pain me, the one he stole the ball with super high press from Konate but missed the goal. I too love that move and it should've ended in a goal 😔💔

Can you see we dodged a bullet by signing Uğurcan Çakir instead of Ederson? 😁

Back-to-back MOTM performances from the guy. His reflexes are too sharp.
Singo is a proper beast
Ismail Jakobs too is a killer
Baris Alper Yilmaz is good but selfish most times, same as Yunus Akgün.

Make Osimhen dey 100% fit first.

In 2006, Galatasaray's coach, Okan Bürük scored in Galatasaray's 3–2 win over Liverpool.

In 2025, he out coached Arne Slot to get a win against Liverpool again.

🇹🇷🧠

Frankfurt was riddled with defensive errors, 2 own goals from Davinson Sanchez, 1 big error for Gabriel Sara and 1 big error from Yunus Akgün, all of them that exposed him to dangerous situations, he even saved one attempted own goal from Eren Elmali.

Try watch highlights make you see am. The guy good! Frankfurt only had one good and well-deserved goal from Can Uzun.

He's a rare breed
Rare to see a striker with almost equal blend of talent , passion and hardwork

Some are talented but don't work hard on the pitch
Some work hard but are less talented

Osimhen brings talent, hardwork, energy and passion!
Ever ready to carry the team on his back!

What a striker!
What a man!

The big sides are the ones who go far in the champions league and their biggest of stars and strikers are the ones who have the numbers in terms of goals. Let’s be truthful Kanu was not the biggest star or one of the top players in the clubs he played for as there were far more bigger players than him in those clubs in fact he comes from the bench often in Arsenal and Ajax then. Finidi was more of a bigger player in Ajax than Kanu.

Osihmen is truly a rare breed so many are still underrating him because no bigger club came for him but his status as a single player is far bigger than most of our former players. I laugh at times when Oliseh tries to elevate his 94 set of players far above some of our current players. Both osihmen and Ademola as APOTYs are in a class of their own and are legends in their own right. Not sure we will see any Nigerian soon scoring an hat trick in a Euro cup final or highest league scorer, those stuff only come from rare breeds.
