Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson has heaped praise on Victor Osimhen after the Galatasaray striker led his team to beat Liverpool 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Robson described the Nigerian international as a top-class player and a constant threat against Liverpool.

Osimhen scored the only goal as Galatasaray defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

There are lots of big clubs that should’ve taken him but did not take the chance,”
Robson said of Osimhen on ESPN FC.

“But what he showed tonight was a great awareness of where the space was.

“He kept pulling out down the side of Van Dijk into the space. He was good with his back to the goal and a constant threat.

“Yes, he scored a penalty, but he is a top-class player. He has got energy, pace, and he is not bad in the air.

Let’s face it, the super eagles are not qualifying for the world cup. Even if South Africa loses one of its 2 scheduled matches, these set of players bar Osimhen lacks the will and skill to gain the available 6 points.
The earlier we accept this the better.
make your SA first lose that 1match, body go twll you and them🤣

Philosopher1979:
We can easily surpass morocco. We have the basic. Football academies produce players at a fast rate. We just need.
1. Good coaches with food tactics.
2. Stop selecting okayers based on bribery and man know man.
I suspect this u20 was selected partly based on bribery. Like 30% were based on bribery. Even at that there is a 16 year old kamaldeen wanted by Chelsea and who is touted as the next okocha in this u20 team. I hope our coaches will start him. I'm not joking the boy is wanted by Chelsea and some Belgium clubs. The funny thing is whoever is our coach might not start him in our next match.
3. Also our coaches in the Super Eagles should encourage young players into the team. Players like ebenezer akinsanmiri, even the 16 year old kamaldeen. Just anyone who shows some stuff. We can at least try them out in friendlies. That's all. The academies are doing fine job. There is also one winger called elijah odede in troyes in French division 2. Chelle our super eagles coach needs to be proactive
Hmm,you said the selection was based on 30% bribery and funny you cited Kamaldeen Jelili who can be used against the coach as an example as a good picked.

I'm not saying Kamaldeen Jelili got into the team based on sentiment but if I tell you the relationship between Kamaldeen Jelili's Father and the coach then you would have used Kamaldeen as an example of bribery without thorough investigation.

Let's just hope the team gives us good prospects for the future

You're not getting it at all.
Lamine finishing second last season isn't the headline.

The headline is he did it with 13 goals scored.
He already has the flair. Look at his performance even in defeat to PSG.

All he has to do is get the trophies and a strong world cup showing.
Circles.

Many of those that scored, performed and got trophies all were in the 16 to 25 zone. For example, Harry Kane finishing outside top 10 is a crime. But let's not pretend like he wasn't outpermed last season atall. PR dey and bias dey anyway. Cos Salah had a way better individual season but finished 4th. Raphinha too. PR

Cameroun was eliminated by Kenya and not Nigeria. Nigéria eliminated Cameroun for the olympics, not Afcon.
Again, Cameroun is in Central African zone ( CEMAC) not WAFU
..

Spainever:
It is time for NFF and West African football

to complain about the regional policy by CAF for under 17 and 20 qualifications. Paring best teams against themselves does not make sense. Nigeria , Ghana and Senegal cannot qualify for under 20 because they have to eliminate themselves. West Africa has good result and better teams in world cup ,why not allow the best teams to qualify ? Why should Nigeria play against Ghana in under 17 qualifiers ? These two countries have the best results. Ivory coast and Cameroon could not qualify for women AFCON because they played against Nigeria .

Lesotho FA's Mokhosi Mohapi on Bafana Bafana points deduction

"Most South Africans were busy being negative against me, now they come to me saying please do it for Bafana-Bafana when you face Nigeria because South Africa must finish top and also against Zimbabwe.

"So we are now friends now guys? We won't do it for them. We will just play our ball game, if we lose we lose, if we win we win, and if we draw we draw, nobody will put us to hostage.

The prospects of super eagles topping this group is low. Even Rohr’s Benin has brighter chances.

We don hear 😎
At least you agree with me that those players doesn’t have what it takes to qualify.

Asides Osimhem who have always maintained consistency, which of the players are you banking on to help win the remaining matches? None.
Like i earlier said, the earlier the reality dawns on you fans the better.

Will CAF applies the rule that emphasizes that if a team withdraw from a particular group , all the matches of the teams at the bottom of other groups are cancelled? Eitrea withdraw at the beginning of the qualifiers

1-0 wins in our final qualifying matches will be suitable for us to qualify for the World Cup. I see South Africa dropping points against Rwanda hopefully. Lord be with the super eagles of Nigeria

8 days to a decider against Lesotho and we don’t even have the squad list yet. If Nigeria does not qualify, the entire ⚽️ federation should honorably resign for the sake of salvaging Nigerian ⚽️

Winning is not enough . South Africa may draw Rwanda but surely will beat Zimbabwe. Both matches will be played in SA ..4points + 14 will give them 18points ..Our chances are slim , we messed up drawing Zimbabwe and Lesotho at home . These two matches are hunting us now
