What if? Since the post says he owns a car, I commented based on the information that was posted. Regardless, people have lost their lives because there was no vehicle to convey them to the hospital. It cannot be everyone, but it has happened, and it is still happening to the unfortunate ones. So, don't use your weak point to defend a selfish man and his silly ways.

Give her a break, for me I see two things here, the man no matter the circumstances should leave the keys behind just in case. There may be a fire, or situation that warrant the car being moved to avoid loss. Warn the woman to make sure only moved in cases that's emergency. He may think he's saving cost but i don't know how much he will save if something happens while kids are riding on okada to school...safer in the car being driven by their mum if she's able to drive. Why risk your family on careless okada.
My first car was for wife to drive kids to school while I hustled to obtain mine.
For the woman, it's just embarrassing that she can post this about her husband. Even if she's from a broke background and never owned a car, levels have changed and she is posing and posting, unfortunately not in positive light if I may say.
So it's all about them, but to me, the man should leave keys behind anytime he's travelling, one day he might bite his tongue in regret.

If you own a car then you should know there many reasons for such situations.
Are you married? Do you have kids? It's easier to talk about marriage as a single man or woman.

The man must have his reasons best known to him.

The only reason a man will take his keys is if you are a stubborn person.

I use to be like that. I could drive but was not perfect, I drive my dad's car when I was still a sec school student decades ago, at first he warns me not to take the car and I still take it anyway and bring it back with small small scratches until I hit the corner of the fence while trying to enter the compound. I didn't pay a dime in maintenance or repair. Not to talk of this present age, I won't allow U drive until you are good enough or I have the funds for repair or pay people that you got Thier car damaged by hitting them. If he had such funds he won't be driving a corolla.

Sir your arguments are logical, but we all know that good or bad drivers still get involved in minor to major accidents but does that mean we shouldn't drive again? No, if you follow my statement, I blamed both sides but like I mentioned, IMHO, I'd rather my family are in a car than on okada...no, I never said the man is poor, we all have our priorities and I speak as a man with vast experience...
Whatever reason the man had for taking away the keeys we respect that but I still say, leaving the keys are better than going away with them.

My brother, I wear shoes and I know where it pinches!! And again I say, if there a car, it's to be used by the family, and let me say this, no matter how careful one is, if an accident will occur, it won't be because you're careful or careless!! So whether it's the man or wife, it may happen!
