Any idea on how to go about this please

2025 Update (September 27)

I see many people still asking: “Is tinted permit cancelled or suspended after October 2nd?”
✅ The truth is: the deadline is still active, but what changed is the verification process. Some people are experiencing “something went wrong” during virtual verification — it’s a system glitch, not your fault.

Key points to note right now:

The portal is still working, but slower than usual.

Doctor’s report is still being requested in some cases.

Suspension talk you’re hearing mostly applies to new fresh registrations not tied to security/medical need, but existing applications are still being processed.

If you keep seeing “error,” don’t give up — try again at non-peak hours (early morning, late night).

Important: If you promised to process before the deadline, do not delay. Many who waited are now rushing, and the system is jammed.

👉 For those who need direct guidance or want the stress handled for them, just reach out. I’ve assisted many successfully already, and I can help you too.

Let’s stay guided. Don’t fall for rumors.

That error comes from the portal glitch. Quick fixes that work: – Try very early morning or late night (low traffic hours). – Use desktop mode on your browser (not just phone view). – Clear cache before re-logging in. Most people that tried these steps got past it. If it still blocks you, then it’s the backend server delay, but don’t worry — it eventually clears

Not cancelled — what’s happening is restriction for non-essential requests. If you applied already, you’re still safe. New entries may face extra checks, but the permit itself hasn’t been scrapped. Best bet is to wrap yours up before October 2nd to avoid surprises.

What of someone who already has tinted permit since 2014 with digital QR code?
Re: How I Registered My Tinted Glass Permit In Nigeria (2025 Guide) by goldenray(m): 6:01am On Sep 30, 2025
Hello @ OP
I have been on the POSSAP site for over two weeks now. Successfully created account, paid for VIN check, uploaded all documents including passport successfully.
But each time I click to submit it all, it returns back to the POSSAP home page. No error reported whatsoever. This has been the case for me for the past 2 weeks.
What could be the problem please?

Bro, weldone. I just paid and was unable to get to this stage, even after facial verification, I tried the validate documents, but it says my document format is invalid. Does this mean I have to repay/re-upload and what specification is required here.

I'll like to know this too. Car is registered in father's name and he was able to complete the online registration but the status is pending. The issue is that he'll not be available for biometric capture. Anyway to get pass this hurdle?

Good day.
Please, I need help on my tinted permit.
I made payment for my tinted permit since 2nd May, 2025 and eventually went to Police Command on the 4th August, 2025 for physical verification, only for me to be informed that my file numberTGP0000591106 can longer capture.
And ever since, I have been trying to at least make a new payment to enable me capture.
But it is impossible up to this point.
I don't know if anyone has similar experience and is the person able to resolve it please.
Thanks

turn your face to the left not 'bend' your neck Sir. Turn like you want to look at something or someone at either side

How I Registered My Tinted Glass Permit In Nigeria (2025 Guide) by Easyinfoguide(m): 4:37am
Earlier this year, I started the process of registering my tinted glass permit the legal way — and to be honest, the process was not as straightforward as I expected. I had to do plenty of trial and error before finally figuring it out. So, I decided to share my full step-by-step experience here to help others who might be confused or just starting.

Here’s what worked for me:

Step 1 – Start with the Police website:
Go to the official Nigeria Police digital portal. That’s where you begin your tinted permit registration. Fill in your bio-data and vehicle details carefully. Once submitted, you’ll get an application reference number.

Step 2 – Activate your dashboard:
After application, you’ll receive an email or SMS to set up your dashboard on the system. That’s where you’ll upload all your required documents and monitor progress.

Step 3 – Prepare your documents:
These are the documents I uploaded:
– Proof of vehicle ownership (like your vehicle license)
– Valid driver’s license
– Passport photo
– National Identification Number (NIN)
– A valid reason for the tinted glass (this part matters)

If you select “medical reason” like I did, you’ll need a medical report. I had mine typed up by a private clinic, stamped and signed. Just make sure it looks legit and mentions light sensitivity or eye-related conditions.

Step 4 – Invoice & Payment:
After document upload, the system generates an invoice. You must pay the fee through REMITA. Once paid, upload proof of payment back to the portal.

Step 5 – Capture appointment:
Once your documents are reviewed, they’ll schedule you for physical biometric capture at the nearest police command. They’ll confirm your fingerprints, photo, and verify your reason for tinting.

Step 6 – Wait for final approval:
After capture, your application goes through final vetting. If everything checks out, you’ll get a downloadable permit with a QR code for verification during police checks.

BONUS Tip:
If your application is still “pending,” don’t panic. That’s normal. It means they’re reviewing your docs. But if it stays that way too long, you might need to follow up at the police station or call support.

Please note:
Company-registered vehicles can also apply, but you’ll need to upload CAC documents instead of personal ID.

I hope this helps someone trying to go through the process. It’s way better to handle it the right way than deal with random police stops and heavy fines.

If you’ve already started your application or got stuck somewhere, feel free to ask questions. I also put together a full info-PDF guide for those who want everything detailed in one place — based on real, tested steps.
Please is it possible to use the virtual verification?
