Hmm!! some brawling and arguments here. The FACT remains, making money from betting without matched betting, value betting, or arbitrage is challenging if not impossible. I've been very busy with some matched betting offers and a blackhat betting affiliate strategy. @Jakarta I took my time to explore the kickback affiliate strategy you made mention of. And I must say, it was quite profitable. A bookie offering 30 - 50% net gaming revenue commission was awesome. I even find it more profitable than value betting, although more stressful. Accas made it very profitable for me. But there were risks and challenges I encountered which were: 1) It is against the bookies' T&C, Is there even anything that is not against their T&C? Motivated affiliates are frowned at, and can lead to issues if not handled properly. They can withhold both your betting account funds and affiliate earnings if you are caught. 2) Exchange rate problems. I was practically backing with naira and laying with Euro, then withdrawing in USD. It was hectic converting from this currency to that currency. I was losing a few quids on the fluctuating exchange rate. 3) You need lots of betting accounts. Most bookies will only pay your commission if you refer a required minimum number of players. Ranges were from 5 - 15. And you need to keep referring more else your rates will drop. 4) They can request your traffic source, and even close your affiliate account without a valid explanation. The matched betting offer was profitable I was guaranteed at least 10% profit of my stakes, but you can't scale or compound it. It is fixed, and you need to disguise your bets, else they will disqualify you from the offer. All in all, it was a jolly good ride. The smart betting world is getting more difficult day by day. And those looking to make money from it without using the listed strategies above are just throwing their money in a pit, nevertheless, we move. |

@sapeleboy Smart G you've already exploited the motivated affiliate offers. I'm yet to try it because I think it will require some setup. Thanks for detailing your experience. I intend doing it by promoting my links and creating 1 page sites, and even run Facebook ads. Then in between I will add my own accounts. Still exploring the Facebook ads space. I appreciate your response bro, keep milking them dry. |

@Mr Sapele Boy. Good day sir. I don't know if you are familiar with handicap displayed this way 0:1, 1:0, 2:0, 0:3 etc. I would like to know how e.g. Away 0:3 handicap (not +3 or -3) is applied to a final score of 8-5 or 0-6. What if the away unexpectedly scored such, how would your bet be determined as a win or lose. You get to find such handicaps on Sportybet. I understand if the score is 2-0 or 2-1 but what if it is 8-5 or 0-6 or 1-5. How is it applied to determine a win or a loss? Thanks 🙏 3.Must home score zero in the 0:3 handicap? |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Sapeleboy911(op): 11:14am On Oct 15, 2025 |
Oluseun234:First, there are 2 types of handicaps, namely European and Asian. With Europeans, there is room for draws, unlike Asian handicaps. Using your Away 0:3 as an example if the final score was 8:5 in a European handicap that would be considered a lost bet because even after adding the handicap advantage of 3 goals to the away team they still did not win the game. But in an Asian handicap, your stake will be refunded/void. 0:3 is like Home 0: Away +3 meaning the away team already has a 3 goal lead advantage before the game even starts. In summary, with a European handicap if the away team loses by 3 or more goals your bet is considered LOST. But if they win, or draw by any score line be it, 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 0-2, 0:6, etc your bet is considered a WIN. |

@Mr Sapele Boy. Thanks sir. Understood 🙏. Your English is fluent as well. I think your best occupation should be setting up a football betting academy. You are too much ❤️. |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Oluseun234: 9:36pm On Oct 15, 2025 |
HeadBoy9:Lol. I was once in your shoes. That is why we need Mr Sapeleboy to launch his betting academy. I guess he is still trying to polish his skills on all segments relating to football betting before he considers an educational center. Meanwhile, go to tipster.com or Google each of them, you will find a list of WEBLINKS. Again you can type 'pdf files on matched betting' or "what is the meaning of matched betting and how is it being applied to win a bet?". If you read all these articles and still can't navigate their apps or find some terms still vague, then you can come and drop your questions here and Mr Sapele will simplify all for you. In addition, check previous pages, In his narrative, Mr Sapele ensured to describe these betting types; start from page 1 onwards. And as you learn, first download 1WIN or SPORTYBET or 1XBET etc to familiarize yourself with their betting markets, terms and conditions, pay-outs etc. You can make further enquires from their help desk center. You will first fumble and make some losses; don't panic! If you don't know how you lose a bet, come here with the exhibit or contact their customer care. Then learn from being scammed. For now, join social media pages that offer free codes of high certainty (pls don't pay for them unless it is from a trusted source). Took me months to deserve them but they are not the ones that want to bet aggressively and at a high risk. Observe from their parlays how odds are picked, won or lost, or considered void. That is how you can be making small small money as you learn how to navigate the market until you become an expert then you can move to value, matched etc. start with 50 naira to 1000 naira which I call experiment stage. Pls you need to attempt this stage with a great deal of patience and determination. Good luck |

why not try strxch its a new betting exchange here in nigeria with an affiliate program |

strxchofficial:Man, there are so many red flags on the website. The WHOIS information is horrible, the domain was registered last year and will expire next year. No licensing information from any of Nigeria's gaming boards, no media coverage, publicity or even reviews. There is no visible identity behind the exchange. The user interface is an eyesore, to be honest if given a 100% bonus with no rollover requirements I won't deposit a dime on that website. My honest opinion. |

Sapeleboy911:I appreciate the honesty and I totally understand your reaction. Nigeria has seen numerous shady websites emerge and then disappear, so skepticism is warranted. Its new, yes. We launched the public beta this june year after testing internally for months. The domain is new because the project itself is new but it’s built locally by Nigerians, not some offshore copy. On licensing: we’re already in talks with the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) for full registration. The legal side takes time, and we want to do it properly before shouting too loud. The affiliate program is just a small part of the bigger vision: STRXCH is a peer-to-peer exchange, not a bookie. That means people bet against each other, not the house. We just handle liquidity and take a commission on winnings — like Betfair did before it banned Nigeria. You’re right about the design — it’s still being improved. Function first, polish next. We’re building openly, and feedback like yours helps us see where to improve. Nothing to hide, no shortcuts. If you want, I can share more details about the roadmap or even screenshots of the regulatory documents once approved. |

Madu2013:With value betting, you can lose not only some but a huge part of your bankroll. It is called variance and it can either be with you or against you, which can be translated to winning runs and losing runs. Take the popular coin toss as an example. If you get odds of 2.20 for the head and 1.90 for the tail. It doesn't mean you will actually make a profit after 1 - 10 bets. You will only make profits when you place a high number of bets on heads, because with a huge volume of bets that tiny 0.20 EV will offset most losses. There are popular cases of people losing over 30% of their bankroll even after 800 - 900 bets. But as long as you continue placing these value bets, the law of large numbers will play its course. Placing 50 bets daily on Fri - Sun will be considered poor for me. My target is at least 150 daily on weekends and 50 on weekdays. In closing value betting is not risk free, if you can't place a large volume of bets without being affected by losing runs, and source for betting accounts no need starting it. |
