Baba, does it means then, this Chelle is not thinking out of d box? Or he wants to play safe? Even Onyedika is not invited.

Good thing he manned up and slapped himself. I like how Alan Shearer unbiasedly put things in perspective on Osimhen's performance vs VVD and Konate despite just returning from injury.

"HE IS A HELL OF A PLAYER"

Shearer would know. He is EPL's greatest striker of all time and their all time top scorer. He would bloody know a scary 9.

You know it is really bad when our Hero of the SA 3 pts deduction saga wants Chelle gone because of the latest list.
I’m just disappointed. I still have hope that we’ll qualify, but it doesn’t look good from the selection. I will support them and hope for the best.

Considering the players that were selected, we'll probably be better off playing a 3-5-2.

I might be wrong but anytime squad list creates hullabaloo and brouhaha here, the SE ends up doing well.

But when everybody here put mouth together say na good list, that's when SE will fumble.

Ladies and gentlemen, WC is coming home!
It's coming home!!!!

Please don't blow the secret open, before the last AFCON when Peseiro releases the list of players going to the AFCON there is one moniker who is a regular here he swore with his life and all the experience he has gained over the years that Nigeria will not go far in the AFCON. At last, we got to the final.

When is nike suppose to release new jerseys for us. I know our wc qualification chance is very faint but the outcome shouldn't stop them. Even if its to debut it at afcon i no go mind.

It is just rubbish. They know wafu B has only 2 slots. So why bother with the 3rd place match. This is why I did not bother posting anything about the game or teamlist.

It is only in Wafu A, one can bother with 3rd place as they have 3 slots. Demonic CAF.
On what basis are they having 3 and we're having 2... Lol.. CAF

If Chelle fails to win these two remaining matches, I would be among those calling for his sack.
Agreed without reservation. He has already experienced enough games under his belt to get used to the team. The next two games are his ultimate test.

Someone of Lineker status especially as a former professional player ought to be more mature and not base his conclusions on rumours and gossips. Despite his apology I can never take him seriously anymore.

Egypt vs Chile U20 game was fun all the way. Enjoyed every minute. Egypt brought their die hard "never give up" and "time wasting" tactics. 😂

But the highlight of the game was the last major moment of the game. Egypt gets a FK on the left halfspace side just at the edge of box. #10 Abdallah line up to take it but their #15 argued that Abdallah is left footed and wont score from that angle so he (#15) should be the one to take it.
Other Egypt players wanted Abdallah to take it as he seems their main FK taker (he hit the crossbar with an earlier effort in the first half but from a favorable angle for his left foot) BUT THE COACH ORDERED ABDALLAH TO STAND DOWN AND ALLOW THE right footed #15 take it.

Everyone held their breath. The #15 curled it beautifully into the back of the net. SCENES MY PEOPLE! SCENES!!! LOL

That is how Egypt beat host, Chile 2-1 and wait to see their chances of qualification as one of the 3rd best placed teams.

Really
I didn’t even watch the game, just highlights
Maybe I can find all of Osimhen’s scene in that game to watch
I don’t think anyone gave Gala a chance before that game though
It probably should’ve been more than 1 goal win

Nigeria need to win against Colombia to avoid heavyweights
South Africa also need a win against USA
Can all 4 African teams qualify

This is the dumbest invite for midfield section for wcq I've seen in a long long while. Who compiled and okayed this dumb list? 😏😏😏😏😏

Chelle loves 442 and na 4midfielders he dey invite? They still want to use 442 again? 😹😹😹😹😹😹
So they plan to make Simon and Chuks enter middle to dey form midfielders?
I will be happy if Chelle pairs Osimhen and Iwobi in attack like the way Iwobi is played in Fulham while Sam Chuks plays 10

Saw this on Facebook in response to the 4 midfielders in the list.. it kind of makes sense tho😑

He's going all out on attack and goal spree. They need much goals as much as they need points too. With this kind of squad He's only using two midfielders as central Midfielders amongst the attackers will be Right and left attacking wingers who doubles as midfielders and left and right wing backs during opposition counters. Same left and right attackers will complement the two strikers during attacks and the two strikers one will drop to midfield during build ups as well and act as supporting striker. This is a very unique formation, if he sticks to it I see Nigeria already qualified to world cup, this is a tactical strategy to increase dominance on the pitch because it somehow increases the players coverage on the pitch and it makes it seem like the players are more than 11, to get past this tactics you need to really play shot possession football to distabilize the settings as an opponent. If the Nigeria team understand this tactics it's already a win with minimum of two goals per match. Very unique one, he's understanding the players abilities now, but they need to hold the ball more with fast counters.

Playing two strikers would be nice... Tolu gives nice hold up play and very intimidating up front... Osihmen na monster too

Even though I don’t think Alex Iwobi had a decent 2023 AFCON
I don’t think Nigerians show respect to Alex Iwobi enough, he is always available and injury free most times Nigeria has an important game
Respect to Alex Iwobi though
Over 80 caps and counting

I’m not a fan of 4 at the back since we have error prone defenders
I’d prefer 3-4-3 because it hides our defensive flaws
I thought Nigeria would be able to effectively play like Mali at last years AFCON but it seems we can’t or don’t have the personnels to do it
Or Éric Chelle just chose to play Lookman in a position that doesn’t showcase his strengths

It looks dicey for Flying Eagles. If we top the group we face runners up in Group E (France/South Africa). If we are runners up, we face Paraguay. If we are 3rd place we face Morocco. Ormoh!!!!

I’d fancy our chance against Morocco tbh
France & Paraguay should be no go area
Morocco and counter attack, they do well with teams that like possession football
Either way they should try to beat Colombia so we don’t use calculators
Their careers depend on it
I think Norway tops our group

Seems coach doesn’t like Uches game
Only creative player in the middle we have is Iwobi
That means we are finished if anything happens to Alex
The man will still play Lookman and Simon in same format
That format that’s not working
People forget we struggled to get goals against Rwanda
Our team struggles to create chances
Uche to me has the lungs to carry the ball but I guess he doesn’t fit into Chelle’s system
