When I said Dangote is a Scammer and a cunning man, a lot of guys came to challenge me for making such a such statement. But what they don't know is that I have observed somethings about his company before making the statement.
The last time Dangote published that it wanted to recruit "Graduate Truck Drivers". How many Graduates are in his team of Truck Drivers today? Or How many did he recruit then?
For all the drivers involved in these numerous accidents, none of them is a Graduate and none has a valid Driver's licence, at least from the Trucks VDM stopped in Edo State.
Dangote company would abandon accident victims (those that didn't die on the spot) to still die without any care. Is that a reputation of a good company?
This same man was involved in shady foreign exchange with Emefiele and got millions of dollars at almost half the price.
The same man is known to fight off competition using the FG as a tool i.e. case study of Ibeto Cement and even BUA etc.
Obviously, that company to me is not reputable enough.

I think it's high time we the people take things into our own hands with this company of road killers.

First is to boycott all Dangote products and services. Maybe the management will sit up. And as usual the authorities are less concerned until Dangote's killer trucks kills someone of importance.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote / Dangote Group Leadership

Subject: Immediate action required to stop Dangote trucks killing Nigerians

Alhaji Dangote, we respect what you’ve built, but profit does not absolve responsibility. Your freight operations are causing deaths and terror on our roads. We are aware you move in the sky with your private jet. But those of us still moving on the roads ,dont want to die. We want an amicable, practical fix, not excuses.

What we ask (concrete, non-negotiable):
1. Publicly acknowledge there is a problem. Silence = indifference.
2. Fund and stand up a professional Truck Driving & Safety Academy under Dangote auspices:
• Mandatory for every Dangote driver.
• Curriculum: defensive driving, hours-of-service rules, vehicle inspection, emergency response, fatigue management.
• Certified instructor cadre, written + practical tests equivalent to a US CDL standard.
• Target cost: ≤ 200 million naira to set up and scale nationwide, a fraction of your group capex and corporate revenues.
3. Require all Dangote trucks to be fitted with basic active safety tech within 12 months: speed governors, telematics (real-time location + driver hours), automatic emergency braking where practicable.

4. Institute a transparent driver-discipline & whistleblower policy and publish quarterly safety metrics (accidents, fatalities, driver hours, penalty actions).
5. Commit to insurance/compensation protocol for victims’ families and a community fund for road-safety education.

Why this is reasonable:
• This is achievable, affordable, and directly reduces deaths.
• It protects Dangote’s brand and business continuity — public outrage and litigation are costlier long-term.
• It gives the company moral leadership: wealth used to safeguard lives.

A timeline we can work with:
• Day 0: Public acknowledgment + appointment of a Safety Oversight Officer.
• 60 days: Publish project plan and budget for the Academy and tech rollout.
• 6 months: Academy pilot and telematics rollout on a prioritized fleet.
• 12 months: Mandatory certification for all active drivers; public safety dashboard launched.

We are willing to cooperate on implementation details, community outreach, and oversight. But we will not stop pressing until tangible steps are taken and progress is visible.

This is not a demand for charity, it’s a request for corporate accountability. If you value Nigerian lives as you value your business, act now.

Sincerely,
Malali

Go to Dangote HQ and submit your petition to him personally. And that is if your petition will not end up in the proverbial basket.

Dangote is aware that in Nigeria his company is greater than the country.
In a country that values human lives, Dangote would have invested resources in safety, and Training of Truck drivers.
Corrupt politicians will rather collect Cash and Share It among themselves.

I just wanted to commend him for his ingenuity and being proactive enough to have put together a work sheet for this particular project. And very quickly too.

I am very disappointed right now.

But then, maybe Ai is the new way and I am just old school. Just maybe.

PS
I just hope he can implement those things he wrote if called up as a consultant anyway.

I think there are 2 things are working in Dangote's favor.

First, he is a northerner so nothing will happen. If for example, he is an easterner, there is no how on earth the government and citizens wouldn't have stepped up at this point to intervene on his matter.

Secondly, he operates in an anyhow country. In a sane country, lawsuits against him will be too much that he will either do something about the issue or bankrupt his business paying compensations. He will have no choice than to prevent this menace .

Dangote is bringing more trucks but failed to bring in more experienced drivers or even trained his drivers properly ..how can boys below 18years be able to man that huge trucks...he should recruit well trained adults to drive his trucks...na people loved ones ,his trucks is sending to the grave
See, when it comes to driving. Experience is not by age. Do you know some people at their 40s don’t know how to drive. If that aged of a person now learn how to drive this year and start driving maybe commercial or private vehicles. Will you say he’s experienced enough.
Same goes to some 20, 21, 22 yrs old guys who have learned how to drive and has been driving since they were 15 or 16. You see, that is almost 5 or 6yrs of driving experience.
.
Now I am not using this my comment to exonerate Dangote or its drivers. Just trying to let you know accidents can happen to any driver irrespective of age

Dangote should employ you immediately...

From someone who is in the industry that uses over 11000 road trucks..

Those truck drivers are the most difficult human to manage.

You send them on training, give them terms of engagement..

They will go to depot to load truck.. Once they get out of the depot, some will handover the truck to their motor boy while they go around with cheap prostitutes

The Dept. in Dangote that's responsible for logistics and transportation needs thorough restructuring and a very good training for their drivers, immature, impatience and emotional drivers need to get rid of.

Lots and lots of refinement needs to be done there.
His truck drivers hardly kill people in the North

But when it comes to Southern part
Hmmm

Maybe Dangote truck drivers always think and have it at the back of their mind that southerners are infidels that needs to be crushed.

I mean how else can you explain it?

I just dey wonder how come na only Dangote truck most atimes dey news for killings.

No be only him dey dat biz na.

Or na issue of recruiting unqualified and poorly trained drivers.

This needs to stop.
See let me tell you the truth, other trucks and tankers do have accidents and kill people on a daily. But Dangote’s own is well pronounced bcus of his wealth and popularity.
Like for example, in the report they stated 3 different accidents involving Dangote trucks. But it was between 2021 and 2025. So you want to tell accidents hasn’t been happening apart from those ones.
.
Lastly! Dangote when it comes to trucks and trailers has been bastardized. Even a truck that’s not Dangote’s own when involved in an accident will always be called Dangote truck by novice. Just like in the case of people telling aboki do indomie for me. But aboki will do Chikki chikki or any other product in the name of indomie.
.
But at the same time, the authorities needs to check on Dangote’s logistics department and and their drivers

When those in power become truly intentional about caring about the people at all, it takes just one hearing for a law to be passed, banning these trucks from plying the roads during the day.

But heck no, it will affect logistics for the elites who get their hands watered to ignore the real things that should be addressed.

May the souls of the dead, rest in peace.
They should ban them during the day you say. Aren’t the drivers humans like you and I? Don’t they deserve to sleep at night like you too.

Can't you guys see that Dangote killer truck drivers (stop blaming the innocent truck) hardly kill people in the North.

This is a planned systematic destruction of lives and property. The blood they used to shed during the religious riots those years in the North they are not longer seeing it again since the victims have all relocated to safe haven.

Now they have resumed their bloodthirsty ways, they brought it to the house of the victims. Na concentrated corrosive hatred dey cause am.

As long as no strong action was taken when it happened before , it will continue to happen

I can't blame Dangote and his drivers, I blame the respective state governments and Federal Government that has failed to prioritize Nigerian lives.

If Dangote was slammed with lawsuits running into hundreds of millions of Naira each time his truck kills people, this will stop happening.

I don't hear about BUA trucks or other companies killing people like this
Who told you other trucks companies don’t kill or have dangerous accidents. Dangote’s own is always pronounced

Any random stop by police and anyone asides the certified driver is behind the wheel. You fire the driver immediately. There has to be repercussions. Dangote knows what to do,he is a good manager for him to have risen so high in his businesses. Its a problem he can solve. We have dash cams that can take pictures of whoever is driving every hour and upload it to a database. 7 hour trip, 7 pictures. There are location app on the phone, where the driver will snap his own picture and send it to the base and the picture is geotagged. It will tell you exactly where the driver is. So many solutions. Nigeria is not the first to have this problem, China, USA,UK,Canada have all solved it. All we need to do is copy the affordable option.
