I’m just disappointed. I still have hope that we’ll qualify, but it doesn’t look good from the selection. I will support them and hope for the best.
I don’t think we can qualify because I don’t see this Chelle style of play giving us 3 nil win against Lesotho & 3 nil win against Benin
South Africa will get 4 points in the next window
Rwanda will get a draw in SA because they are still in the competition
SA would top the group on goal aggregate
Won’t be shocked if I see SA win their next match by 3 goals
Can Nigeria do same ?
Goals would really determine the winner of this group

This Gary Lineker apology to Osimhen is a reason why you shouldn't believe every agenda especially against our players. I'm sure it was Victor's performance against Liverpool in the UCL that is making them change stance.

I will be happy if Chelle pairs Osimhen and Iwobi in attack like the way Iwobi is played in Fulham while Sam Chuks plays 10
That man doesn't know anything that happens now is on him. We need to see an Attacking Iwobi. But sincerely, who go do connect between Def and Att? Yusuf? Where's Eletu, Akinsan and co sef?

Morocco Makes History with First Use of Green Card at U20 World Cup

Morocco’s U20 side has made history twice in two matches. On Monday they became the first team to use FIFA’s new green card at a World Cup, overturning a late penalty in their 2–0 win over Spain. By Wednesday they followed it up with a hard-fought win over Brazil — a result that sees them qualify for the knockout stages with one group match to go.

Against Spain, Yassir Zabiri and Gessime Yassine scored in front of just over 11,000 fans at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos. The Brazil match was tighter but the Atlas Cubs did enough to ensure their stay in Chile will go beyond the group stage.

What the green card does
The green card is part of FIFA’s Football Video Support (FVS), a VAR for youth competitions and leagues without a full broadcast setup. Coaches can challenge 2 times per game for goals, penalties, direct reds and mistaken identity.

A successful challenge keeps the team’s right to challenge again; an unsuccessful one uses it up. The system is designed to correct obvious errors without the delays and cost of a full VAR review.

The big moment came against Spain. When the referee pointed to the penalty spot in the second half, Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi reached for a green card. After watching the video, the referee overturned the penalty and cautioned the Spanish forward for simulation. This was the first time that a green card had benefited a coach who had challenged a referee’s decision in a FIFA tournament.

As a result, Morocco kept the lead and took that momentum into their next game against Brazil. Two wins in two games against big teams means Morocco is already through to the round of 16. That´s a big achievement for the Atlas Cubs, who will be looking to capitalize on these impressive performances later into this tournament.

Chelle should not mess up with the remaining two qualifiers. We need to win these games handsomely

Underwhelming list for world cup qualifiers. Too lean in the midfield and heavy upfront. To say I'm disappointed will be an understatement.

Hope we win the two games, and miraculously make it to the world cup.

I reserve my comments on Coach Eric Sekou Chelle until after the qualifiers.

Is it that there is a draught of central midfielders in Nigeria or wetin?

Wish the boys the maximum points in the final 2 games. Honestly can’t put a lot of hope on this generation of players. Let’s hope Rwanda aids Nigeria to qualify

There isn't. I get it that Raphael Onyedika and Fisayo Dele Bashiru are out injured but why reduce the midfield options from 7 the last time to 4 now?

He should have picked three out of Christantus Uche, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Anthony Dennis and Alhassan Yusuf but he only picked one.

Also, whats the point of an additional forward in Olakunle Olusegun?

Like I talk before, I dey disappointed but I go tape my mouth until after the qualifiers.

Former Beyond Limits FA prodigy, 18 y/o Promise Meliga bags an assist for Valerenga in their 1-0 win vs Tromsø in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

His first Goal Involvement at his first Euro Club in 3 league games. 4 games overall adding the cup tie where he made a 14mins cameo.

Who is the godfather of Olakunle Olusegun?
His inclusion in the list sound awkward and embarrassing to those players working hard in European and Home league ..Going into two decisive world cup matches with a lean midfield shows Chielle is extremely lucky to coach super eagles of Nigeria. Whatever happens in the two matches do not justify for the reasons to ignore players like Gift Orban,Uche and Akinsanmiro

Super Falcons forward Ifeoma Onumonu has announced her retirement from football, bringing an end to a professional career that spanned more than a decade across the United States, France, and Nigeria.

In a statement shared on Instagram in the early hours of Saturday, the 31-year-old expressed gratitude for her journey, describing her retirement as a “natural conclusion” to a lifelong discovery that began at the age of eight.

Felix Agu is injured, unlikely to make it back in time before our next games..
Might Chelle seize the opportunity to invite a midfielder in his place? Uche or Akinsanmiro perhaps?

Ah make him invite a defender. Wahala go de if our guys collect yellow.

I almost wish one or two of the forwards would have a reason not to come so he can undo this thing that may haunt him

In about 7 games now I think it's an open secret the man gives no shit about the midfield
SE has had lean midfield since 2021 when Eguavoen was the coach..

it did not start will Chelle..

that's one of the reasons people are now saying the players call up list is written by NFF and not the coach.
