I vividly remember how igbos were targetted in the north 1999,early 2000s after OBJ came to office. There was nobody coming to help igbos , not even the federal capital.

But something remarkable happened and changed the whole narratives . It was when Aba and onitsha replied Kano and Kaduna was when the whole battle tide changed. Otherwise qe woul d have been having kano ,kaduna riots going on today with igbo lives and businesses paying the ultimate price.
Aba and Onitsha businesses need to sit down and finalize a reply that will kill commerce in Lagos, and you will see thise cretins come on their knees and beg.
Before, kano was the all in all in commerce in the north and competing with lagos and Kaduna was mirroring Abuja until pride came in.

The people who should sit down and craft the policies that will bring Lagos on its knees are in Aba,Onitsha, China,Dubai, Singapore, and proposing their next imports.
Replied Kano how?
What imaginary reply?
Igbos cannot kill commerce in Lagos
that is a delusion
Lagos is booming
IT, entertainment, sport today Boat race, Refinery, New airport, Free Trade Zone, Metro Rail, Detty December

Igbos overrate their relevance

When you were coming did you make announcements just go and see whether Lagos will notice

Ogunlesi and Bello Osagie are planning another private sector owned port in Lagos State.

I think the speaker should appeal to industrialists and business people to come together and build ports in other parts of the country

Since Bulaba loose Lagos state that's was when he realized that Lagos state is not for him. Did he think it was only igbos that voted against him?

They will all regret it someday.
Maybe they think they are doing Igbos now, but in future they gonna realise they are doing themselves.

When I see comments like this, I genuinely regret and wonder where some of you crawl out from. Lagos is telling who to ‘do their worst’? You beat your chest and, yet your family doesn’t even own a plot the size of a Keke parking spot in Lagos. Lagos was built by sweat, sacrifice, and the hands of people from all over Nigeria and beyond. Some of you only stumbled into Lagos yesterday, clinging to a Yoruba surname like it’s a deed of ownership, shouting entitlement as if history started with you. Calm down being loud doesn’t make you right, it just makes you noisy.
The problem with comments like this is that you also hear them at the top among people like Abike, Onanuga and Reno. So it shouldn’t be taken lightly, it’s no longer the mindset of street urchins, it’s in our institutions among people who are educated

Lagos State should stop this reckless behaviour against the Igbos.
The hatred is getting out of hand.

I am not Igbo but I and many others of various tribes (mostly Yoruba) are also battling with LASG in respect of proper documentation of land and building approval. It is necessary in a sane environment. We've received notices and are complying.

FG owns Trade Fair land but town planning and building approvals are done by State Governments. Those whose properties are duly approved will be duly compensated if demolished.

No one is above the law. Let's learn to do the right thing and stop playing victim.
We complain day and night about how nigeria is 'not working', but the very moment actions are taken to make the same nigeria work, and it affects us, we begin to cry blue murder.

Funny enough, the group of 'nigerians' that have done the greatest damage to the sovereignty and progress of nigeria are the same ppl that complain the most about how nigeria is 'not working'.

Don't be scared or envious of a progressive people, it doesn't end well.

How do you think a people who loved everything in a war, came back to acquire more within few years will be scared of these random demolition?

Like Isrealites in Egypt, the more you kill the more they wax stronger.

Probably they are imprison in the listed state and countries you mention below.

The only problem I have with you guys is tt you talk too much and end up saying nothing.

if indeed you have things to do,i expect you to do it rather than talking.

And when talking ,don't compared what was done to other tribe to Yoruba as they have a response to all questions.

There’s a lot of pain behind these laughing emojis.

@ Topic: The real owners of Lagos are flexing their muscles and letting developers know that even though you paid for your properties, you can be bulldozed out anytime if you overstep your boundaries.

The heartbreak is real. From Owode Onirin, to Alaba Rago, to Oworonsoki, to Trade Fair Complex, etc the demolition cut across all, not a particular sect or tribe. However, each demolition would affect a particular group than others. The Alaba Rago market demolition affected northerners more, while Trade Fair affected easterners more, likewise other demolished centers. The lesson is that let's learn to do things rightly and follow due process.

Egypt was once the destination of the world but now, it is 'another used to be'. Paris has rested after it trended for decades. Dubai is reigning now, its time too shall pass. Coming down here, Calabar was once the beautiful bride but now e done rest. I will stop here for now. Everything that goes up must surely come down but the manner with which it comes down determines its future. We shall see.
Paris is still a major destination as is London. Dubai has a very specific appeal as do the great cities and city states of the world. Lagos has its own appeal and that is not going away. Hoping that a state or place will eventually fail is not a strategy.

Myopic 'baba wa ni president'. people would not understand the power of time. The Lagos you are dragging, will fulfil its destiny as a 'no man's land' developed by Nigeria and Nigerians, belonging to Nigeria and Nigerians, for as long as Nigeria exists as a country.

So don't worry.

We will do our worst, however long it takes.

Stop blackmailing lagosian with ethnic cries.. grin

A true mega city runs on law and order, not on village sentiment, yet many igbos behave as if they never get the memo or lack the literacy to understand it..
Go to Papa Ajao and Ladipo and see what they've turned that beautiful environment to, when I was a kid, we had the likes of Ebenezer Obey, IK Dairo, Orlando Owoh... it was carved out of notorious Mushin. If you visit Papa-Ajao now you will feel sorry, it has become sparepartsjungleand den of kidnappers and robbery gangs.
If Lagos state government starts bulldozing the iron-jungle at Ladipo now, someone will start crying foul. Why can't we follow rules

What was his reactions when Gov Soludo demolished some buildings in Anambra state?

Why are these people fixated about Lagos state self
They are so obsessed with Lagos. Sw does not even share a boundary with the SE region. The buffer region, SS, does not even make noise like this.

What makes your heart bleed, gladdens their hearts. It is targeted demolition because majority of the victims are the people they would love to see leave Lagos. But that's not gonna happen. You know why? Their spirits can never be broken.

That was what we were told in kano, kaduna and maiduguri. It is funny how people don't realize who made Lagos what it is presently today until the day Lagos crashes like kano and kaduna did .

A simple change in the business model of igbos will put Lagos where it should be.
How did Kano crash? What crash about Kano?

You sure say you know wetin you dey talk?

Ebute metta is a maize. Finding your way around there can be a Herculean task.

If that area was occupied by Igbos, believe me by now it would have been leveled.

Ethinc politics would be the end of Nigeria.
