[quote author=Odingo1 post=136732837]Pls what is the amount of proof of funds required for Portugal student visa and must someone legalise a document in Portugal embassy, their admission process is very difficult 😞 Amount Proof of fund depends on your course and and if you are going with your family, you can do the calculation Portugal has one of the easiest visa process. Get your documents ready befor October and apply for admission in November if you don't wish to apply to 2 or more schs before getting admission. That's the best time when schools have high admission rate. |

Olagoke2494:I will need to see the student copy to ascertain if it will be accepted at the embassy, the authentication of student copy is not an issue to Authenticate at MOE and MFA, the problem is the embassy |
| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by Olammi(m): 12:21pm On Sep 18, 2025 |
Olagoke2494:You don't pick a date you book for appointment online and on date of your appointment you go to the embassy to submit or you can submit through a proxy because the whole process is not a day not even a month process, although there's a way to submit without booking of appointment that process a different case entirely |

Please who has gotten date for Portugal study visa for masters? |
| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by oluvicky3(m): 3:10am On Oct 05, 2025 |
No one was able to booked. Embassy do not give VFS go ahead to release date. Those telling you to bring money for slot want to dupe you. They will just collect your money and apply for other categories of visa for you. Just keep your school updated. |

oluvicky3:Portugal Visa appointment date for study was not open, work and that of other categories was opened. Top secret I will share with you guys are 1 No that Portugal embassy is getting overwhelmed by the high number of applications they are receiving, so very soon they want to start cutting down number of visa approval, I have been privy to observe some certain changes at the embassy presently, documents submitted to them for verification take weeks now before they send to NUC. I was not suprise they did not open portal for student Visa appointment booking this October, it is obvious they might start tightening their immigration laws just as countries like Poland did in the area of Visa approval and Appointment. These are my takes, if you are waiting for visa appointment the best approach nowbis to reach out to your sch to help you schedule study visa appointment by reaching out to the embassy, many schs have helped their prospective student in that regards. As the process is getting tighten any one looking for admission shd try and get his or her documents authenticated and legalize before ending of November and then apply for admission because that's the best period to apply for admission, yes there are no submissions appointment, but you can get Expres appointment to submit and legalize your documents on time and stand a better chance of getting admission with first attempt because that's when sch in Portugal give the highest number of admission and this will help to save extra application fee for you and applying on time help you to sort out appointment issues on time, those that apply early last year can attest to those fact. Lastly during your admission application proccess focuse on schs that aids their students in securing visa appointment date at the embassy thats the dynamics now, this is very important. |

freedomtours:Authentication documents do expire in the sense that MOE&MOFA do expire within even 6 months, some of the signatory may be changed And 2027 is too far to start Authentication for a programme that is in 2027. |

xyrexzmanto:You can no longer move with family as a master's student until you have lived 2 years in Portugal and/or have a job paying 1020 Euros monthly at least. Most people don't know this information yet, even people studying in Portugal now have their family visa rejected in Nigeria. By 2026, Portugal will be worse than the UK in immigration of families. |
| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by stillmaticOG(m): 5:58am On Oct 29, 2025 |
vibrant99:This is false. You should get your facts right. Families are still getting visas. The only difference now is that if you don't apply for your family before getting a trc, you will have to wait 2 years before you would be eligible for family reunification |

stillmaticOG:You are the one who should get your facts right because you are on Nairaland arguing with someone who is in the POOL.... |
| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by stillmaticOG(m): 11:36am On Oct 29, 2025 |
vibrant99:And which pool would that be because my wife and I just recently got our visas as well as two other couples I know personally. Get your facts right before you post so as not to discourage others. The new laws in portugal did not mention anything about canceling accompanying family member visa. As a matter of fact, even recently that the embassy stopped releasing dates for student visas, they were still releasing dates for accompanying family member visas and a lot of families have been applying |
