Price of goods and services is not that expensive in Nigeria, the issue is that majority of us are very poor.
A two bedroom flat apartment still goes around 350k annually in some part of Lagos State yet many of us will still go to mountain for prayer to be able to afford that.

In some countries they pay me monthly and they still pay with ease.

A good education will create wealth.
Pls, mention the few areas that rent 2bed for 350k.

Nigeria is a country blessed with talent, resources, and resilience — yet it continues to struggle under the weight of bad leadership, corruption, and poor governance. From unreliable electricity to the rising cost of living, it sometimes feels like every sector is crying out for help.

Now imagine this: you suddenly become the President of Nigeria — but only for one week. You have full control to make key decisions, sign executive orders, and implement reforms. No bureaucracy, no political godfathers — just seven days to make a difference.

What would you fix first?

Would you focus on the economy, to bring down the price of food and fuel?
Would you tackle security, ensuring that citizens can travel freely without fear of bandits or kidnappers?
Or maybe you’d go straight to education, reviving schools, paying teachers well, and making universities work again?

Some Nigerians say they would start by cutting government salaries and reducing the cost of governance. Others believe the first step should be arresting corrupt politicians and recovering looted funds. A few even argue that constitutional reform is the only real solution to Nigeria’s endless cycle of problems.

Whatever your opinion, one thing is clear — most Nigerians know exactly what they want fixed; they just haven’t had the power to do it.

So, let’s hear from you
If you had just one week as Nigeria’s President, with total authority to act, what’s the first thing you’d change and why?
monthly salary work to hourly payment system like the developed country then tax every wages earned by all workers then crash the price of diesel and petrol, then buy tractors and give to farmers on hire purchase then subject the post of IIGP to election and every CJN and I INEC chair person, and enact a law that make sure every governor and local government chairman must live in his local govt area and gov in his state. Especially nasarawa gov from operating from Abuja. Every senator must also live in there states and senatorial districts.

one week is too short for anything meaningful but I will prioritise dissolution of states into economic regions and abolishment of the concept of State of Origin.

I will divide Nigeria into 6 zones then regionise them with power to each region to control it's affairs as it sees fit. Anyone that like to develop let them go ahead while anyone that choose not to can remain backward. Simple. No fight.

I will boost the Agricultural sector, Mandate all the governors to establish manufacturing industries in their respective states and pass it into law that no one, including me should travel out for medical treatment until the hospital in the states are well equipped and functioning.

This is so me. Education is the only tool to reshape our future.

Problem is our people are too selfish. People who benefit from all other things will fight you tooth and nail.

If I can become president, I am not building any roads, I’d focus on education, and health. Maybe social support if we can afford it. This will set the country backwards but it will assure us that in 20 years we will bounce back.

All other things will be private sector led. If you want build road, get license from govt, build your road and tax your road.

The change the constitution to so as to allow Igbos to leave Nigeria and form their own country. Sincerely that is what I will do first.
Then you'll live with the Fulanis that will keep sacking your villages and kidnapping and raping your people. Igbos are never your problem but you all made it look like what you want it to look like.
